@@nyx246 I think it also hits different because the world is just different now. You can’t go back now and experience it as you were. When I was traveling as a kid the iPhone was even out yet and I think that pre smart phone era was pretty cool though I totally have a lot of respect for smart phones and the internet and it’s ability to increase our connectivity and access to information. I’m just glad that i wasn’t handed an iPad as a child and was taught to use that as my out. I probably would have ignored everything and stayed on my iPad as some kids these days do. Tangent aside, I would still love to go back, but I think it’s nice to look back and remember the fond memories for sure.
One tip for travelling Thailand when going to food stalls is to make sure that you get food that’s prepared in front of you rather than stuff that’s lying out there. Most non locals won’t have the immune system required if it’s stuff that’s been out a while and take a big risk of ending up being sick

Even when taking every precaution, travelers diarrhea is pretty much unavoidable. My gut accustomed to the bacteria pretty quick tho
