A wonderful remodel! You made it very light airy, with great color choices. Before it was quite claustrophobic to me. I also like that you enlarged the bathroom a bit. 👍👍👍👍
I'm so glad I found your video. I have almost the exact same Wilderness camper that was in equally poor condition when I purchases it.. I should have gotten it for free. So much work that I kept thinking I must be the only person crazy enough to completely reframe a stick-built camper. I'm glad you stuck it out and finished the remodel. Looks very nice!!
You are an artist. You had me at the copper pipes. Master piece of Carpentry. You are very Gifted. 🙏. The wife and I just bought a 2011 Jayco Jay flight travel trailer 22 ft. Simplify love it. Just wish I had that type of talent to do a redo on Bingo. The name came from the Grandkids from the show Bluey. Enjoy 👋
Dude!!! We acquired a 79 WILDERNESS last year and are in the same process!!! Tore it to studs (and beyond) and replaced 70% of the framing. Just finished the subfloor today. I have so many questions!!
Beautiful work! You're fortunate to be so talented . Never been a fan of 70's decor either in trailers or homes, this is a huge improvement, a real feeling of accomplishment I'm sure.
Beautiful… had like this but 23 ft and 1976 I did restored inside as original replaced studs in rear some front I save veneer glue on new plywood in front area update led lights etc but I sold few yrs ago
Great job but personally I prefer the old layout because it gave you two separate bed areas and the bathroom seemed larger....but keep the new color scheme.
It still has two separate bed areas. One where the table is and one where the pull out couch is across from the kitchen. And the bathroom is actually bigger now believe it or not! Shower is bigger so the space looks smaller
The metal trim on the corners is held on with screws. Take those out and remove the trim, remove the butyl tape underneath it and then there are crown staples holding the metal panels to the wood frame. Remove those and they come off pretty easy
I'm a bit jealous of your door placement being far toward the back ☺️ I have a '68 Yucca Dart that feels very similar otherwise. What are the measurements on this one? I really, really like what you've done with this, and am saving this video for future reference!!
Honestly, the only thing that comes to mind is I wouldn’t have installed an AC unit or a microwave. We’re hardly ever connected to shore power when camping so they’ve both turned out to be pretty useless. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
Nice and yeah I was thinking about not installing a microwave and have mine wired up for solar and wires up for 30amp for the ac since I travel for work only thing is I’m missing the water holding tank so thought about installing a tankless water heater somewhere
Gee, thanks for taking another vintage trailer off the road and effing it up for the rest of us you might sell it to later on. And somehow people like you insist that its still vintage when you remodel it. Its not. People like me who never seem to find truly vintage trailers like we had when I was a kid always lose out when ppl like you remodel and not restore. A lot of memories left out. And brand new trailers are hideously bland and overpriced. Thanks. For nothing.
Excellent Restoration Job !! Pride Of Ownership Is Obvious ! Thank You For Sharing. Happy Camping Adventures.
Amazing. Love that ceiling
Omg! Your choice of music was amazing!! ❤️🇨🇦

I have so many questions!!
Oh wow, awesome! Yeah it sounds like you’re going through the same process as we did. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Did you do the rebuild outside or in a garage or covered area?
Good Job, Looks Nice.
Hallo from Denmark,good work.
this appeared in my feed today and I must say that turned out awesome. Congrats on an excellent rebuild.
Thank you!

Very nice. I have an 1987 Fleetwood Prowler 27ft. Will be working on it soon. Looking for inspiration details to do with mine. I bought it for $200.
Good luck!

Just bought a 1984 comfort from the beginning photos I think this one might be in a little bit worse shape but we're looking at a full renovation.
That's beautiful! I am just getting started on a rebuild of my own. How do you remove the silver trim on the front ?
The metal trim on the corners is held on with screws. Take those out and remove the trim, remove the butyl tape underneath it and then there are crown staples holding the metal panels to the wood frame. Remove those and they come off pretty easy

I just bought a 70s wilderness just like this that’s in need of work what would you do differently if you done this again ?
Honestly, the only thing that comes to mind is I wouldn’t have installed an AC unit or a microwave. We’re hardly ever connected to shore power when camping so they’ve both turned out to be pretty useless. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

Did you have any floor rot?
Yes, a little bit in the corners. Took up the subfloor and replaced some floor joists
Супер ❤
Looks great! How long did the entire rebuild take?
Thanks! It took about a year from start to finish. I spent almost every weekend during that time and some weeknights working on it
Hi there. Do you know GWVR?
👍
May I ask whom sings that song and the name of it please
great video lose the music
