The clone paratroopers have one of the best helmet designs.

It's always bugged me how the clone trooper armor looks more advanced/modern than the stormtrooper armor even though it proceeded it. The clone commanders for example look way more sleek than the newer tk troopers.

1:32 it's worth noting that later in the war, the colors are not represented by ranks, but rather their assigned units. For instance, the 501st Legion uses blue striping, and 212th Attack Battalion uses orange striping to name the few.
They originally used colors for ranks and later started using them for divisions
You forgot to clarify that old republic troopers were actually human conscripts, but excelled in combat unlike the Empire's stormtroopers
Haven’t looked into it but the Old Republic was fighting a viable threat like the sith empire. While the empire was fighting regular rebels. Could have been that the empire was lax in training since the only enemy was rebels.
As said in the video, Imperial stormtroopers were some of the best soldiers is starwars and only have a bad reputation because of misinformation and jokes.

@@billpleay9123 most of these conscripts don’t see a lot of intense combat and the officers are mostly high class people only in it for the glory thus most don’t really have good qualifications as officers.(most bribe their way in)
@@thelegosmithy161 What? The army of the Empire was the best in its time. Imperial military schools were built on every planet in the core worlds , and on many of the middle ring. And not only for attack aircraft, pilots, but also for officers. Also, the empire fought a lot, a lot. Starting as pirates and hunt for the remnants of the CIS, ending with preparations for war with the Yuuzhan Vong. Moreover, do not forget that the Assault Corps is an elite. To get there, you need to be trained from early childhood. This is not your ordinary ordinary army of the Empire. Well, everything connected with oblique stormtroopers is myths, they came from the jokes of the rebels, as well as from heroes with the scriptwriter's magic. (Sorry for mistakes, I'm writing with a translator and maybe a little rude answer)

I’ve always been a huge fan of the stormtroopers when I was young despite their “lack of aims” but seeing its evolution that dates all the way back from the old republic era makes them even more epic.
Snow troopers weren’t originally thought up of by the Empire, snow variant clone troopers existed before them and they also look pretty similar to the galactic marine clones. Also, I think you could also say that the scout trooper armor was based off of the clone ARF troopers

@@RocketRiley The Clone Wars series, there were Clone officers who worn ARF helmets such as Sergeant Hound and Commander Trauma. Also Clone snow troopers have two phases, the first one was a hybrid of Phase I mixed with snow armour while Phase II is the Galactic Marine Corp, exactly the same armour as the Imperial but have more equipment and colours.
As well the shadow troopers were based on the clone shadow legion or shadow hand command.
Welp scoot clone troopers exist, and scoot stormtrooopers are inspired from this one, like the armors of the 41st elit corps soldiers. If you put their green armors in white, its almost identical to the scoot trooper armor, and like the scoot troopers, 41st were specialized in recognition and intervention in hostile territory.
@@taejo4975 Galactic Marine armor was actually better. It was made not just for snow, but for all environments. And similar to the ARC troopers were reinforced with better platin. They just looked similar.
As a star wars fan it hurts to try to justify in your head that the stormtrooper armor was supposed to be an advancement of phase 1 and 2 when its obviously props from the 80's vs 2000's CGI armor
Since Star Wars was released in 1977, stormtroopers were designed with the technology of that time. If George Lucas had waited another 10 years for technology to develop, we would be talking about a different stormtrooper armor design today.
Given how badly live action clone trooper armor looks under Disney, the OT stormtroopers look like an advancement lol
Stormtrooper armor is considered to be more advanced than clone trooper armor.
I hope one day we get to see stormtroopers live up to their description of elite and ruthless soldiers instead of the mediocre lousy shots they're portrayed as
In legends, some clone troopers opted to stick with the phase one armor because of better protection.

phase 1 clone armor was also heavy and hard to move in, but offered better protection against blasters, phase 2 was lighter but slightly less protected, thats why captain Rex modified his phase 2 armor and welded in phase 1 chest plate and visior in his armor

Phase 2 clone armor is perfection
I think the reason why they created weaker armor is because the biggest threat of the galaxy, the CIS, has been defeated and only clones could handle, thus making them useless for other jobs except officers and guards
Plus Palpatine did not expect such strong plot armor and power of hope in rebellion army, because they were less powerful than Separatists and than Grand Army of Republic, because of their trainings and mandalorian skills of combat

I actually like the decision to make the OT stormtrooper to be actually its phase 2, even though it felt like a downgrade, like smaller helmet visor for example before it got fixed by phase 3 for 1st order
The funny part is, according to cosplayers who actually wear the movie accurate armor, they say the stormtrooper helmet has more visibility than the clone helmets, quite ironic

Im pretty sure mud troopers were the empires main infantry and the stormtroopers were actually a special forces and this was shown in the film solo

Out of all the armor designs I think the Old Republic one is my favorite.
Well, with 2 seasons of the Bad Batch we have seen a lot of the TK troopers. Hopefully we will see the real stormtroopers appear in the final season.
Phase 1 Clone Troopers also customized their armor a little although it mostly came down to paint jobs. That trend became more apparent with Phase II specifically but it wasn't unheard of before.

I get that its a meme and an ongoing joke, but stormtroopers are far from inaccurate, sure the Clone's were more accurate, but they were also genetically modified and bred for war. If people knew how much ammo was spent in real life vs how many hit's are made they'd be shocked, again the better trained you are the more accurate and likely you are to hit your target, but stormtroopers do quite amazing against rebels without plot armor.

The shadow troopers were based on the clone shadow legion or shadow hand command unfortunately we don’t get to see them in the clone wars tv show another thing is that shock troopers existed as clones first as well. Sorry if I am going to far adding another thing I just like to inform people but the first orders flame troopers existed as clones as well it shows them in the clone wars tv show and the riot troopers of the first order as well existed as clones the last thing I want to add is that jet troopers existed as clones first again sorry if I got Carried away but like ai said before I like to inform

If there are any armour designs between any of those besides the snow and scout variants of phases one and two, empire and first order I don’t know any other than the imperial shore trooper, the clone commando, the imperial purge and death troopers, first/final order sith troopers and the pilots of each of these factions
