Just because he was born in Britain, many assume he was educated there and thus associate his English proficiency to it, but in reality his parents moved back to India when he was 2 years old, and he had done his schooling in India. He speaks multiple languages. I am so proud of him.
Mr. Tharoor is an excellent orator, and I hope I, even as a native English speaker, can equal his exquisite use of wordsmithing in order to get elected. I intend to create a People's Action Party similar to Singapore's in America, my homeland.
More than his proficiency in the English language it is his audacity to berate the English in their own den by calling their forefathers thief is something unheard of.
Understand the difference between proficiency in english language and knowledge. Stop comparing Mr Tharoor with any native english speaking person. Just knowing to speak in English do not translate into wisdom as delivered by Mr Tharoor 😏
U r certainly right my dear pal, however,u need to remember always one thing that is u r those people who believes and stress in ascertaining things which might be unknown for the rest altogether and should not forget we're those who brought the best version of all ur innovation, starting from cricket to the matter of ur language which the world named it "English".And after all u should, moreover, not forget it's this nation who has taught all to speak and gave a new route or notion to explore things.☝️
@@msatya7210 I dont know what is your motive. What I want to say again is stop labeling Mr Tharoor as an English teacher. English proficiency and knowledge or wisdom are two seperate things. Nothing more to discuss !

He embodies both erudition and sagacity, which may have eluded your cognitive radar. His profound mastery of history underscores his intellectual prowess, and so, he shines brighter as one of the youngest PhD graduates. Even the pages of his academic journey are embellished with honours, including a school prize for being the most meritorious student.
rodomontade and farrago are some words Dr. Shashi has introduced to us. I usually detest politics but I see some topics only influenced by Dr. Shashi Tharoor. Lots of love for this great man.
This may be true of young millennials. People of my generation were introduced to these and many more words by Wilfred Funk( the famous lexicographer) in the 80s.
Shashi Tharoor 's english dictionary is required to understand his vocabulary and speech. As far as I am concerned, it would be better for a person like him to communicate in a simple and lucid style so that the majority can understand him. The second thing is he speaks so fast, so difficult to catch his words. I tried to understand his speech so many times but failed. So, I use the English sub title on to partially understand him.
Couldnt agree with you more. It is not how much you want to impress but how you express - in order to get your message across and be understood. I remember once my english teacher said, "if you could have the power you wished for what would it be?- the power to say the right words at the right time at the right person."
His understanding on historic culture of India, world history and the hegemony of Imperialism is awesome. His narratives, humor is par excellence, his commitment to Congi is superb
I think sashi tharoor is a hypocrite, he gives Speech about how ruthless British invasion is, but he never talks about bloodiest invasion in Indian history, which is Islamic invasions.
