The mumbo's rain dance was supposedly part of a scrapped portion of the game, where grunty shot her last spell at banjo turning him into a frog and it was going to be a section where you played as tootie brought banjo to mumbo and the raindance was supposed to be part of the whole sequence of turning banjo back
I also heard that as Tooty you would also have to collect the remaining Mumbo Tokens in the game to turn Banjo and Kazooie back.
I feel that as you go deeper in the iceberg, it gets more creepier-

Good content, but felt like it was rushed. It could have easily been 30 minutes, but felt really quick.
While yeah, his research on topics like
(for example, if he did more digging, he'd know that there was actually a way to access the video game factory interior that is seen in the N&B ending cutscene by glitching under Spiral Mountain where it's floating there in the abyss. Plus there are heavy references to other Rare games in that room. That's something I've known for years.)
But to be completely fair here, this iceberg itself is very barebones. There is a LOT that I can list off from the series specifically Tooie, Grunty's Revenge, and Nuts & Bolts that this iceberg missed. Its like that image was rushed too. Kinda makes me wanna make my own.

To the "Mumbo is the true villian", i heard that he was originally going to be The main villain of BK or just a villain, something that supports this idea is one of the paintings in mad monsters masion, in the room that appears in 10:31, you can't see it on that clip but it depicts a very obscene and scary looking Mumbo.

I know this was made almost 3 years ago, but i actually have a ton to say about this video.
1) The mumbo raindance is, I THINK, part of an cut ending for kazooie where you play as a frog and mumbo changes you back. Its also, a different mumbo song which was never used. Just look up "mumbo cut raindance song"
2) I LOVE the theory of the jinjo war !
3) Mumbo is confirmed to be gruntys teacher in an early manual of kazooie.
4) i dont really believe the jontron thing, i think people dislikes nuts and bolts before his video for obvious reasons.
But good video nonetheless! :)
Every fandom have toxic people in videogames, not jontron’s fault, in fact he explained very well about how a platform game is, taking a lot of examples, it is a funny video as well 😅
The Banjo Kazooie cameo in Conker I believe are just props. Banjo and Conker were good friends in Diddy Kong Racing and I'd like to think they still are behind the scenes (outside games). Also, I think someone said Mumbo was Grunty's teacher in the Manuel (I never has the chance to read it, I'm just going by what others said).

Does anyone else remember Banjo grabbing his foot while jumping up and down after kicking mumbo's xylophone in the intro of the game??
Another fun fact, you can find grey minjos sometimes, but never jinjos. If you see a gray jinjo, blast him!
it's so strange thinking about how some people discovered banjo-kazooie now. i came to peace with smash ultimate being the first for many, even though it makes me feel old, but minecraft is one i never thought of despite also using that skin.
My mom told me about banjo kazooie in 2010 and I played the originals for years
I dunno if this was mentioned, but Tooty was originally named "Tootles," but her name was changed late into development.
Grunty can even be seen calling her "Tootles" in a Portuguese commercial for Banjo-Kazooie.
I have a theory about the Banjo Kazooie timeline
It starts in the time period where Grunty was in university around the 1970s. She studied magic, her professor was a jinjo named Mumbo Jumbo. One day,
Grunty turned on him and transformed Mumbo's face into a skull. She was then kicked out. Her friends at the time judged her heavily and she moved to isle o' hags to get a better education on dark magic. When she got her degree in both witchcraft and architecture, she moved to Spiral mountain to build a home. Then, shortly after Timber's parents went on holiday, Wizpig started to terrorize the island that Timber lived on. Out of desperation, Timber sent a letter overseas to DK island where Diddy kong had recently been freed from the Kremlings. After receiving the message, he sent it to Conker, who sent it to Pipsy, who sent it to Tiptup, who sent it to Banjo. They all arrived on Timber's Island. Diddy kong brought one of the Kremlings with him. After defeating Wizpig, Banjo and the others went back. Then a few weeks later he met Kazooie. Then Tooty, Banjo's sister gets kidnapped and the duo have to go to Grunty's lair. They then defeat Grunty and go back. About a month later, she went missing again, only this time, she was never found. Then, Klungo creates a machine for Grunty to project her soul into and take Kazooie to the past and make sure she and Banjo don't meet, undoing every event after Diddy kong racing. Unfortunately for her, Banjo and Mumbo both witness and Mumbo takes Banjo to the same time frame. After Grunty gets defeated for the second time, she has to wait 15 months for her next plan. After all 15 months go by, it's November, and Grunty's third scheme is underway. Her plan is to suck all life out of isle o' hags to get a new body. Banjo and Kazooie both learn about the plan and take it upon themselves to thwart it. Once they succeed, they go back to spiral mountain. A few years later, Banjo learns about what happened to Tooty. She's dead. Banjo does not take the death well and starts smoking weed. Next, Banjo is hallucinating about cars and stuff. So nuts and bolts happens and Kazooie makes banjo stop with the weed, and start becoming more of a fighter. The training all pays off, because they got into smash bros

i believe that the rain dance entry is referring to the audio file called rain dance which is believed to be associated with mumbo due to the general arrangement and how the "eekumbokum" is heard a lot in that file.

Actually in BK that toilet from mad monster masnion that speaks to Banjo and kazooie shows in In BT grunty industries and he said Guntry kick him out. So i think Guntry might own the mansion just a theory.
Also if I remember right, in the Rare VHS that introduced us to BK and Jet Force Gemini, they stated that it was Grunty's mansion.
Nice, now can you please do a Conker iceberg video since Conker is Rare's 2nd mascot (or even a Rareware iceberg would be fine too). Also, Did You Know Gaming also made another Banjo Kazooie themed video with Banjo and Kazooie's render from Smash on the thumbnail (surprised you didn't say that because that video came out before this one did).

Unfortunately, Smash is its own canon. The characters in the games aren't their actual selves, but toys or statuettes brought to life by imagination.

Except that Spiral Mountain in Super Smash Bros Ultimate is from during or before Banjo Kazooie. It's still fully intact and there's no rock where Grunty falls.

I don't get the iceburg things, the info just seems to be a series of random facts and there's not really any rhyme or reason to it. Also, many of the things you raise in this video are contradicted or expanded by primary sources, like the games themselves or the manual. MMM is owned by grunty, Mumbo taught grunty, and she cursed his face to look like it does.

They don't, it's an extremely low-quality recording of - iirc - Grant Kirkhope saying "thank you". It got stretched out which, thanks to the N64's hardware, made it sound like that.

I agree to an extent. Like I like the game in itself but I don't consider it a banjo kazooie game. And also I don't think its toxic to dislike the game or any game for that matter so I'm unsure why the vid said "toxic side of the fandom" 🤔
