I’m in 8th grade but I wanna play D1 too and play in the nfl but I go to a really small school and only one person has made it to the big leagues from my school and that was tre Herndon
I was a freshman... after football end I started grinding my mind out weight lifting 4 hours a day and runing a mile every day. During that Christmas Eve I was in an accident that paralyzed me for life.
This is EXCELLENT!!! So wish we had heard all of this a few years ago ourselves..... it was quite the learning curve as we fumbled our way through the process. Hopefully you will help many others out there with all of this great information
Just putting my two cents out there I’m a sophomore with some unofficials. First on the weight thing you don’t want to over do it fill in your frame but don’t put on bad weight. As long as you aren’t way undersized colleges will be fine about you weight because they have programs for that.If you do need bulk tho I recommend carbo max as a supplement it can add 3000 calories to your daily intake. Next get in your play book if coaches know you have a high football iq that makes them more interested in you and they are more likely to overlook some physical limitations. One of the most important things is to go to a high school that wants you. Some kids get brought into pre established power house programs where you are just another piece of the machine and you don’t matter.go to a place where they care about you as a person that way they are more likely to push for you in recruiting. Finally personally I don’t like camps I see it as either you pay for another kid they want to be there or you are just giving the college money. However if you want to go to a camp go to a pre established program’s camp over a bunch of lower tier school’s camps. This doesn’t mean d1 over d2 it just means go some where established a good d2’s camp is more valuable than a bad d1’s camp. My thoughts on recruiting

I weigh 115 lbs. and I’m 5’6 and also my body is built like a Wide Receiver.
Join the track team. Avoid getting suckered imto distance events, i mean if you're great at it fine, but otherwise stick to sprints and jumps. Make sure you have at least a B avg. Also, use your down time wisely! Get on a strenght program thats relevant to football and not body building. Eat clean high protein food after your work outs and invest some time into recovery, for example, stretching, yoga, meditation whatever relaxes you. Also catch up on sleep, you can't be walking around looking like a zombie cause you were gaming all night long and expect to kill it at practice.
@@NYCDurrani this is great information everything is correct from nutrition to training to training relative to your position to recovery. Staying consistent and working hard is everything
be aware of your body, your speed, and balance. Don’t be scared because that causes you to feel the pressure. Also, make sure you’re comfortable with your ball carrying while running. Throwing wise remember to follow through and use your eyes. Know your receivers and focus on your accuracy. As you work on it focus on different time of pass situations (be it rolling passes, deep balls, out routes, and quick release (rapid fire). Also throwing on the run is extremely difficult but focus on your fundamentals and it will start to get easier. It’s a tough process but you got this🤝good luck
Ur school very well does effect ur chances, since usually worse schools play worse teams, recruiters take that account, for ex. Balling out at a d3 school, ain’t the same as balling out at a d1 school
(Disclaimer) Freshman here in varsity (sophomore now) But does anyone have a protein drink recommendations (to get bulky) or shake(thats healthy and has enough protein)

Wasn't me im a QB too
If an one is a QB could you give me tips on throwing and scrambling
be aware of your body, your speed, and balance.
My high school isn’t that good right in football. (It’s in a bad rank) does that effect my chances. Should I switch schools?
Ur school very well does effect ur chances, since usually worse schools play worse teams, recruiters take that account, for ex. Balling out at a d3 school, ain’t the same as balling out at a d1 school
