- After using a lot of engine oils from Motul, Castrol, Liqui moly, Shell etc in my motorcycle this time I tested the TVS Tru4 Synthetic engine oil in my TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. This is a 10W-30 grade engine oil recommended by TVS for their Apache RTR series of motorcycles. The TVS Tru4 Synthetic 10W-30 is manufactured by Bharat petroleum who also run the lubricant brand MAK. The specifications and data sheet for TVS Tru4 Synthetic is not available on their website. So in earlier video I went ahead and did the lab tested the fresh sample of TVS Tru4 Synthetic engine oil: • LAB TEST! IS THIS ENGI...
This engine oil was used in my TVS Apache RTR 200 4V for more than 2500km after which the used engine oil was given for a lab test. This video shares the change in Kinematic viscosity, Viscosity index, TBN, Flash point etc after using this engine oil 2500km. An elemental analysis is also discussed in this video that includes wear and tear metal analysis along with contaminants present in the engine oil. This analysis also mentions additive contents like Zinc, Boron, Calcium, Phosphorous etc.

Can you explain, why a thermal or temperature sensor is been used on Apache RTR 2004v carbureted version. And what is the effect of it on TCI. Since as per my knowledge, thermal sensor will be used in an FI vehicle with an ECU connected.

Hey, can you suggest an engine oil for my 35 year old hero honda cd100 which is currently running with Mobil Supermoto 20w-40.
edit 1 : I want best results (smooth shifts etc.) and money is not a barrier. I live in a place where temperature doesn't go below 35 C.

Apart from being a very good engine oil technically, this oil looks very nice when the sportztourer pours the oil be it fresh or used into the glass beaker 😉

I want to sue a TVS service center as they have cheated me by not topping up the engine in 2nd service of the Apache RTR 160 4v which resulted in more wear and tear of the engine clutch and gear and loss in performance and smooth riding experience.
Now the Matter is how can I prove this. Will the lab test of my current engine oil in bike be any helpful in determining the damage?

Don't know if you are from Bangalore, I would request you to try 'Release On' engine oil which is owned by Shrikqnt feom Bangalore... I am currently using the same in my Dominar 400 since a month and seems to be good.. but the technical aspect and observation from a pro like you is required to determine the quality of the product...can you do it?

300V would be an overkill. 7100 would be the most adequate

MY Kawasaki z 900 has been parked in my building garage for about 14 months, as I was stuck in India, just befor going to India on 24th Feb 2020, I had changed my engine oil to Motul 300 V 10w 40, The bike is just been parked for a long time, as Iam in Viet nam now, I would like to know, if it is important to change the engine oil again or can it be used for some more time, I ride my bike just around the city ot exceeding speeds of 70 kms. Dealer deny to service my vehicle, because I raised a complaint about his lower level of service for my tvs apache Rtr 160 4V. My bike completed its 03 years with 21500 in milo with TVS Tru 4 Fully Synthetic oil. Please recommend good engine oil which can be easily available in local market. I used to drain out my bike engine oil in 2000K interval....

Stick to 10w30 grade only of any company otherwise charm of apache will be gone.

It's not good for your dominar, bajaj assured life 10000km.⛔it's risky bro 😊change every 4500-5000km.(from my experience) I'm also using dominar 400 for 3year . I suggest motul Or addinol.

Hey Sportztourer, I'm facing a problem with my FZS v3 during cold starts...when I press the self start button.. its like a Loud Click followed by Nothing.. when i keep it pressed for 2 - 3 seconds.. sometimes... 2-3 self... then it cranks up... even after running for 3-4 kms..the same thing happens.. and after 3-4 self starts.. it gets back to normal.. what it could be? a Bad battery? or rectifier malfunction.?? Please help 😭
Change the spark plug if it's over 10k km

How many oils have you used? Which one performed the best for you?
I have been using this oil since i purchased my TVS Radeon.
After 10,000 km i got my engine opened and it was clean, sludge free and as shiny as new.
This oil is really a gem, specially due to its pricing (570 rupees😁).
Moreover, this oil performs best when it is 500-600 km old.😁

Well that was a bad idea because that filter was already clean as new.

1. Are you using steel braided brake line? Watched your video of problem you faced, wanted to know if you have found out one with proper length.
2. Suggest me a rear tyre that have good wet grip and tyre life.
3. Any suggestion for cushioning of seats? My back hurts after a 300km of continuous ride.
Pulsar 220s line fits just dont attach it to the lower T
