So back in the glorious Peak District, this time the Kinder Scout area with the Hilleberg Soulo once again. Was a bit of a wet one at times but found this fantastic little location that I tracked down on a day hike so was pretty decent.
Great being able to get a weekday camp in too so was absolutely dead and had near enough the whole plateau to myself, all but about 3 people I saw just walking up from Edale.
Perfect.

As you can probably tell I am binge watching your videoa and getting ideas for some nice walks. Thank you. Sadly it take me 5 hours to get up there from my house.
Another really enjoyable video Chris, we really enjoyed this solo camp. You were lucky to get the views just before the mist came in, although there is something special about camping and walking in the mist, you feel like the only person out there. Loved the shot of the bar, d were looking for the beverages in the tent before you panned around😆 🍻. The tent looked great, we would love something like that. I picked Edale for my first solo wild camp last weekend and it's a great place for it. Felt remote enough but not TOO far away from everything. Great video - amazing views!
Brilliant!! Yes I agree, it is a really great place to get some wild camps in, there are some remote little places well away from any paths etc like this one but like you said not miles out your way so all good... really glad you liked it snd thanks so much for watching!!

Thanks lads!! Yeah I love this area, this little spot is about 15 mins off the path with a bit of a careful ramble through the heather but then I found this little pitch behind an outcrop. Loved it there will definitely return for sure!

Loved the walk up to camp, looks like you've had a good dose of rain! We do enjoy the Peak District views and rock formations, stunning! The Berg blends in like a trooper huh, almost perfectly. Nice tent tour, wont be long before we ate all reaching for the cold kit! Lucky there wasnt a que at the bar huh 🍻🤭 smashing time lapse and good vibes all round, the sky looked nice and moody and we enjoyed joining you again on another magical PD camp! ❤☕🏕👍🍝❤

The heather is amazing and as usual the camera does it no justice. Lovw the Hilleberg and definitely need the IPAs, hope you liked my gritstone bar, glad there wasnt a que 😂😂

Great camp and you weren’t too unlucky with the weather. I had my second wild camp a few days ago on bleaklow stones. It was tough carrying all my gear up there in the heat and the midges had a nice feast at my expense- but what a camp. I loved it. Clear skies in the evening - great star scape. Can’t wait to go for another wild camp. Preferably before it gets too cold as I don’t have cold weather gear.

Nice one Chris. I need to give Kinder's southern edge a try, having only ever camped on the northern side. Summit to Eat meals are my favourite I'd say, especially the salmon and broccoli pasta🙂 . Best wishes, Chris

Another great solo adventure Chris. I’ve had my eye on a wild camp there myself. Those views are something else aren’t they? The MSR looks a quality piece of kit and I’m loving the gritstone bar for the beer selection. Looks like you’re set for any weather with the Hilleberg. In fact, I bet you prefer the bad weather camps now you can sleep safe in the knowledge it won’t go anywhere. Glad I’ve got decent WiFi in tonight’s B&B so I can catch up on TH-cam
You will love it mate, take it you can work out where it is maybe but its a great little hidden place behind the rocks. The stove it awesome and glad you liked my bar haha.
Definitely feel confident in the Hilleberg and know I dont have to worry if the weather turns during the night, although the little Helm Compact 1 is still a pretty decent tent to be fair.
Haha yeah will definitely be doing some with a bit more crazy weather I think. Hopefully some winter camps too.

I took my littlun up kinder via Jacobs and then down the steepest descent as it started raining and i got a bit lost. Good times.

Grindslow Knoll is a great spot, but very gusty and wind seems to swap direction. Not been up Crowden yet, but enjoy the scramble up Grindsbrook 👍
I know Grindslow Knoll very well but yeah being so open you will get the potential wind change for sure. Get yourself up and around Crowden and have an explore, great little area with loads of potential spots 😀

One of my favourite spots, unfortunately it’s getting abused recently, I carried out loads of rubbish on my last visit 🙁
Hi... Oh no really!? Thats not good at all 😔 I really dont get why people cant just take their rubbish with them?? You'd think they love the great outdoors that's why they're out so why do they want to ruin it?? Really annoys me when I see rubbish everywhere. Some of the states of places ive come accross, like certain areas of the Snake Path / Snake Woodlands is a joke and ive tooo other peoples rubbish back with my own before too.
Well done on taking it with you even though 'we' shouldn't have to do this.

I use Cyberlink PowerDirector 19 to edit. I have used PowerDirector (PD) since PD 13 for something else and get on with it really well. When I decided to start this channel end of last year I got the newest one. Not sure if 20 is out yet or if it will be out later in the year but any of them will do waaaaaaay more than you need anyway. They use PD in a lot of universities etc with videography courses and film making etc.
It is simple to use once you know how but if you need to there are plenty of tutorial vids on here.
Channel called PowerDirector University is bang on.

Ive never used it but you call also get a decent programme calle Davinci Resolve, it has good reports and know a few people that use it on here. Plus, you can get a free version too!! If you didnt wana spent too much coin ✌🏼

What are the chances of being moved on by rangers up there ?
Hi! Well I know the Moscar Gamekeepers are patrolling a lot more round Bamford / Stanage and Derwent Edges. This was on the Kinder Scout area and havent seen as many 'rangers' up there really. But, as you can see in the video I was hidden away behind a large outcrop so wouldn't have been able to be seen from paths or anything anyway. Best to stay out of visibility, set up late and leave early and you should be sound. Always leave no trace too as you know 🙏🏼😊😊😊
