    What you came for: Guns!
What you think you're gonna get after a couple minutes: Beer!
    What you actually get: Bugs!

A lot of these breweries (Lagunitas, Founders, Elysian, Goose Island, etc) have been bought out by brands like AB InBev, Molson Coors, etc. I used to mourn this, and I still do to an extent, but at the same time I've grown to appreciate that it's a product of the success of these smaller breweries, and that these acquisitions mean that more people can enjoy these beers that I love.
That said, some of these acquisitions also, despite best efforts, do end up resulting in a decrease in quality as the bigger brands get involved and the owned brands have to focus more and more on their one or two flagships and have less freedom to do what they want.
Not to mention, AB InBev and others have the market power to push brands that aren't owned by the big brewers out of the market. This is why it's so hard to find your small local breweries on your grocery store shelves.
It's certainly a double edged sword. More money means more accessibility and success for the beers you've watched grow, but the cost is also high.

I don't even drink but this makes sense to me. Economies of scale mean they have to change production. Be out a different brewery. In theory moving locations shouldn't change things, but it's easy to understand that it could. And of course there's also changing ingredients to save money, even if you think no one will notice. (Look at Coca-Cola and the switch from sugar to HFCS.)

Often, when a beer becomes popular, its production gets moved to a larger brewer. And here in the UK, the issue is, where those large breweries in the UK have a poorer tasting water (much softer). The quality of the initial gradients, even just the water, will have a big impact.

Because of my class a new rule was added for the film school where I studied : no more guns in public.
The short film was about 2 soldiers of opposite sides, one decides not to kill the other, but ends up getting shot by the dude he spared. It was shot in a public park, we did not have any permit or authorization, the teacher had us fill the paperwork to see if we made mistakes but it was never actually sent.
First day of shooting, no problem. Some horsey police dudes even came to talk to us.
Second day, a pair of tourists decided to call the police because they thought it was a guy getting ready to kill people in public with someone filming him. I was away from the group guarding the gear saw a few squad cars going up the road quickly and suddenly one stopped, both policewoman came out with their guns already out I yelled to them that it was a film shoot but they did not want to hear anything and had everybody except me face down quickly. They finally noticed that the gun was an airsoft gun with an orange tip and allowed everybody to get back up.
The teacher finally could explain the situation, We ended up with a fine for public disturbance, the school paid for it because the teacher should have send the documents asking for a permit to shoot in the park, even if we did not have a permit we could have called the police stations near the park to tell them that we were filming with guns in public.
The camera was running all the time of the event and the 2 policewoman did something wrong in the intervention, so they had repercussions, don't remember what it was.

I'm a Belgian :( , just so you know, Belgium is known for it's beers, and none of them get brewed in or near farms.... and no, Belgium has far little farm lands then you would think. You can travel across the widest part of Belgium in 3hours, so an hour isnt that bad :p

Hops are a preservative. Part of the craft beer charm is that the same beers will change over the years because most of the ingredients are plants and they will taste slightly different from year to year, most notably noticed in hops

Fun fact - Hops are in the same family as cannabis (Cannabaceae). Hops are one of only 10 genera in that small but very recognizable family.

The often cited 'Bavarian Purity Law', enacted on 23rd April 1516, states: "[...] no thing shall be used for beer safe for wheat, hops and water." It was initially intended to regulate the quality of beer - at the time it was considered staple food in the Southern German duchy - but has since been coined a gold standard as the world's oldest still applicable food regulatory provision. That ought to say everything.

My grandpa was bitten by a brown recluse on the leg several years ago. Their venom makes the bite have a large circle of necrotic flesh. It's pretty disgusting, and I genuinely hope to always avoid those freaky spiders.

Oof that Hoegaarden pronunciation. It's more like Who(with a silent w) chaarden (the cha as in charisma with more of a "gh" sound that I know is hard for North-Americans :)). Great summer white beer to enjoy in the sun.

IPAs are indeed easier to brew. Any funkiness that you might have during the fermentation process will be masked by the huge amount of hops.
A good lager/Pilsner is tremendously harder to brew because of the light taste, everything needs to be balanced.

Nick is very close. As I understand it, when India was a British colony, the Brits would ship the beer there. Because it was such a long trip, the beer would arrive weak and janky. So, they began brewing the beer super extra hoppy so that by the time it got to India, it was good for drinking. So... IPA!
