I've tried to find Deep Rock Galactic tutorials about Deep Dives, and about The Forge, but your video was the one that helped the most. You just got a sub from a fan :D
I’m getting close to my first promotion, this was super helpful to know everything and I also checked comments to see different POVs and going with weapon overclocks still seems better to me because I would want more weapon overclocks faster than cosmetics.
Something of note regarding Matrix Cores: You cannot get duplicates! If you already own an overclock or cosmetic, you will never receive a core infused with that overclock or cosmetic. If you own all the overclocks and/or cosmetics, first of all, I would like to applaud you for your dedication. Second, you will instead begin receiving cores with mineral caches - large quantities of a single mineral - in place of overclock or cosmetic cores, respectively.
Also if you own all weapon overclocks but still have cosmetics to unlock, the weekly mission and deep dives will give you blank cores instead of overclocks.
Great video, but I have to disagree with your advice about prioritizing weapon overclocks over cosmetic ones. The main issue is that if you prioritize weapon overclocks, once you receive them all you begin to receive blank cores instead of weapon overclocks, so weekly core hunts, DDs, and EDDs give two blank cores and one cosmetic. Therefore, if a player wants to keep up with the number of blank cores they are receiving, they will need to complete 6 machine events each week. Given the spawn rates for machine events, only a very dedicated player can keep up with this requirement. Because of this, I would recommend taking a mix of cosmetics and overclocks from machine events, if you are a casual or semi-dedicated player.
Fair enough, solid argument. I guess I was offering that advice more so from a min/max point of view, as overclocks contribute to player power, and cosmetics don't.
Good to know that is a thing but i always run out of blank cores every week even when i do the deep dives and weekly hunt, so having an excess of those once i unlock everything else is fine imo, thanks for the heads up though it is good to know
i suppose i would rather get a weapon overclock early and then have to power through cosmetics, rather than being stuck looking for stupid special powder for even longer. that being said, thanks for the tip, i didn't know that
Thank you so much for making this video I've only just started playing this game and it's really great that you explained everything regards promotions so succinctly really clarified a lot of questions I had about the forge and the point of ODEM towers etc.
i just promoted driller about 3 days ago and didn't know what to do after that, this video answered everything i needed thanks may man, ROCK AND STONE!!
its a 3 year old video , and still solved all my questions and doudts. i just promoted my first dwarf Driller, and didn't understood without Deep dive how to acquire the cores. i play with 2 of my friends to kind of waiting for their first dwarf to promote for the 9 mission long assignment to start simultaneously . in meantime i completed the machine event but didn't get anything , that when i doudted myself why is that i didn't get any overclock from machine event. now i know , i need blank cores first for machine event. thanks man
subscribed. finally an informative deep rock galactic video to the point, concise with a clear mic and voice. Thank you & i look forward to your future content.
I didn’t actually know anything about what happens after you come out and I did it last night on my first order and I was just stuck and confused because I didn’t know what I was supposed to do so this video was an immense help
Even though I knew most of this stuff, the video was nice to confirm some things and it was a great help in teaching some of my greenbeard friends on how to play the game!
Great video. As a new guy, I am working through my first promotion. I wondered if I could use another dwarf to do those missions and you answered it. I also didn't know that three red levels = one blue level. Thanks for the info!
Great video I have sunk about 10 hours into the game and i’m really enjoying it. I never realized how complex the game got after promotion but I can’t wait I have my gunner up at level 18 so hopefully I will be deep diving soon 🤞 I don’t think i’m ready for elite though 😂
I just got into this game like a week ago and its so cool and they have so much content for us to look forward to plus the future plans for the game i hope we getnew classes or weapons and stuff
The difficulty of the first stage in a normal deep dive is haz 3.5, in the second stage the difficulty is haz 4 and in the third stage it's haz 4.5. In a elite deep dive the difficulty of the first stage will be haz 4.5, in the second stage it will be haz 5 and the last stage is haz 5.5. A normal deep dive is made of 3 stages, 6 separate objectives and maybe a modifier that makes the stage easier or harder, a elite deep dive is just a normal deep dive but harder.
ROCK AND STONE BROTHA! good vid though I was kinda confused about the machine event stuff I always did them but I didn't have any blank matrix cores so I always thought they were just bonus little missions and xp
Warning!: If you had promotiion assignment and weakly core hunt, complete hunt first, because after promotiion weakly assigments resets for your account, it's in the game a long time and still exists, i think it's probably legal mehanic.
Just promoted my scout for the first time, this helps a lot with the core shenanigans, thanks. also im not sure if i should continue to go scout or if i should try and promote a different dwarf 💀
awwesome video man, do you keep playing? i've just bought the game and been playing for some hours but my friends say they get easily bored with the game, any advices on what to aim to keep playing?
Been playing for about a month with 77 hours total. I’ve just been levelling up each dwarf to 15 so I can get gameplay experience to figure out my favorites. But now I think I’ll focus on promoting one. Great vid, very helpful.
What annoys me about the promotions is that you don’t get better stuff after the first on like say y dont they give ya another overclock or maybe a better stat boost.
Awesome video, though, one quick blurb: You do not need a promoted dwarf to be able to use Overclocks on their weapons, only have *a* promoted dwarf that can forge them. (I only bothered to promote my Gunner like, 2-3 days ago, but have been using Carpet Bomber nad Big Bertha on my autocannon pretty heavily)
You take that back you filthy heathen! On a more serious note, yeah it's not great at long range, I use well aimed revolver shots for long range / prio targets.. I use the AC solely for mass AoE damage.
I had no idea end game was so deep and complex, awesome video man, helped me out a lot as a level 15 green beard... thanks !
You're welcome, I'm glad it helped!
Deep rock galactic
Correction: Elite Deep Dives are not accessible directly after the first promotion. You must complete a regular Deep Dive first.
Oh, cool, did not remember that. Thanks!
The most informational video I’ve come across really answered all my questions. Thank you so much. Really helped out me and my boys ❤️
Happy it helped! Sorry for the late reply, been MIA for a while.
Rock and Stone, Miner!
I've tried to find Deep Rock Galactic tutorials about Deep Dives, and about The Forge, but your video was the one that helped the most. You just got a sub from a fan :D
Thanks, I appreciate it! I've been slow with my channel lately, but maybe I'll get some more DRG content up in the future.
@@Sevaekor Im looking forward to it!
I’m getting close to my first promotion, this was super helpful to know everything and I also checked comments to see different POVs and going with weapon overclocks still seems better to me because I would want more weapon overclocks faster than cosmetics.
Agreed! I always prioritize player power and/or weapon diversity over aesthetics!
Something of note regarding Matrix Cores: You cannot get duplicates! If you already own an overclock or cosmetic, you will never receive a core infused with that overclock or cosmetic. If you own all the overclocks and/or cosmetics, first of all, I would like to applaud you for your dedication. this was so well explained and well made. there is no unanswered questions and i know everything i wondered. thank you 🖤
Happy to help! Thank you!
Finally! Someone actually explains how this stuff works, I highly appreciate this video
As I just got my 1st ever promotion on Scout. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you!

If it wasn't for the beer this game wouldn't be as good as it is.
It's still a pretty damn good game,... but yeah I agree, the beer makes it 100% better.
Very nice and explanatory video even after 3 years. Thank you ❤
i just promoted driller about 3 days ago and didn't know what to do after that, this video answered everything i needed thanks may man, ROCK AND STONE!!
I’m really just repeating everyone else’s voices here but this video was great and earned a sub hahaha
Thank you very much for this video I learned a lot from it and I will definitely be promoting my not so small dwarves now
Succinct! Best explanation I've seen, thanks brother! Rock and stone!

Thanks, i am just about to get my first dwarf to lvl 25 and really needed that small walk through about the xp gathering and such of a 25.

WOW! 😳 How BIG us this game!?... Anyhow, superb Vido man! Instant subscription for me!
Even though I knew most of this stuff, the video was nice to confirm some things and it was a great help in teaching some of my greenbeard friends on how to play the game!
It's nice that a low download game can be so fun and do deep! Rock and stone!

Clear, concise, interesting

This video was super helpful but surprisingly hard to find! Thanks!
This game is a huuuuuuuuge grind. Still enjoying it though
Very good video, just to the point and tons of information without having to deal with some self obsorbed youtuber making squeeky noises.
GG.
Thank you! Very informative and helpful! I didn't know a lot of that
Happy to help!

Just started. Lots of stuff to learn, but its a fun little free game with friends. See you down in the caves
Thank you ❤️ so much informational video
This game has so much content :)
Very informative thank you
Make more DRG videos PLEASE!

you don't need a promotion to use an overclock. just need to be high enough level to fully upgrade the weapon
This info still is super helpful in 2022
ROCK AND STONE BROTHA! good vid though I was kinda confused about the machine event stuff I always did them but I didn't have any blank matrix cores so I always thought they were just bonus little missions and xp
great video, you also have awesome voice, I hope to see more from you

Just promoted my scout for the first time, this helps a lot with the core shenanigans, thanks.
also im not sure if i should continue to go scout or if i should try and promote a different dwarf 💀
Rock and stone!
you forgot to mention completing machine events also give you a bit of cash, around 450 at hazard 2 is the average i've noticed
Thank you so much!
Thanks this help a lot
awwesome video man, do you keep playing? i've just bought the game and been playing for some hours but my friends say they get easily bored with the game, any advices on what to aim to keep playing?

Nice, didn't know event gave XP
Nice video
welp, i spent all my cash in the accessories shop, lol.
It happens :P
What annoys me about the promotions is that you don’t get better stuff after the first on like say y dont they give ya another overclock or maybe a better stat boost.
i learned something, this is a good video...but damn dude...that footage was NOT 60fps and i had a headache by the end of watching it.
good vid
I'm lvl 22 with. Player level of 9.. what am I doing wrong?
Mine more Nitra, deposited Nitra converts to Red XP
I’m level 25 but it doesn’t let me promite
Do the assignment first
Awesome video, though, one quick blurb:
You do not need a promoted dwarf to be able to use Overclocks on their weapons, only have *a* promoted dwarf that can forge them. (I only bothered to promote my Gunner like, 2-3 days ago, but have been using Carpet Bomber nad Big Bertha on my autocannon pretty heavily)
This is just my opinion, but the autocannon is bad. It’s not good at long range, it’s only good at medium range and for eradicating the swarmers.
You take that back you filthy heathen! On a more serious note, yeah it's not great at long range, I use well aimed revolver shots for long range / prio targets.. I use the AC solely for mass AoE damage.
Damn.. I don’t have a lot of friends and I don’t work well with others so deep dives are hard for me
do em with randoms! we are all pretty nice hehe
You sound like Nathan Fillion
