He was genius as a kid playing in the style that ordinary people like. Now he is getting insane, only keeps his incredible skills but plays in his own mad style.
Absolutely amazing! he supposed to be the world most widely recognized violinist! suppose to gain the same fame as lang lang's today. can anyone explain why he hasn't yet? strange! maybe already is, just I didn't know.
Him : i already practiced my violin today, next practice was paganini (not even minded for being a world class violinist) His mother : Li, you're genius!!! Talented, you need to join wienieawski competition! Him : (a bit disturbed) no mom, i'm just a little violinist, i'm not the best... My playings (i think) were so usual. I mean, PAGANINI, WIENIEAWSKI, BAZZINI, OR TARTINI. his mom : pure genius 🥲🙏 Paganini : devil, why do you let me looking at this Genius before my death?? I need his advices and there's no time left for me. I'll being unpeace in my grave Bach : i'm proud of you, later please use more phrasing okay (i'm sure y'all know how does his playing style today, especially his nel cor piu non mi sento 😭😎)
wow this kid (now a young) is marvelous. if i was a master teacher looking for a student i would choose him. But of course i am not a master teacher and he is no longer a student:)
i would say, michael rabin, compare his caprice 16 with chuanyun li´s one.. :) i´m not sure if you will find rabin´s caprice on youtube. good wishes watch?v=ik62imgrM4M here it is^^ 43:20 it could be that rabins caprice sounds on this record different as on Michael Rabin- the earlys years. have fun
He is a genius. I met him at his grandmother's place when he was 6 years old. He was very talented as a little boy. Both of his parents were violinist. His grandma were teaching piano.
@ 3:40 he was almost into a slow-motion train wreck but pulled it back on the tracks quick! Why is he not the superstar he is supposed to be?...... perhaps because there are thousands of other violinists in China who can do back-flips while playing just as well....joking!..... because the music-world is cruel.
I just saw him perform a few days ago... definitely an uncouth performance, whether his excuses from the stage (broken hand, girlfriend with cancer, etc) were real or not (probably half-truths, in addition to his being more than a little tipsy). To me he just seems bored with all music now, and just plays around with whatever concerto and group he's performing with, acting crazed so Chinese audiences eat up his fame even more
You can tell with the bow length variations and still 0 dynamic captured is likely due to the poor recording. If you record with the built-in mic of a camcorder in a relatively small room, this is what happens. I don't believe the actual playing sounds like that at all. As for style, that's preference. People play Bach quite differently over 20 years ago.
it's not about dynamics, it's about a 11 year old being more than you mundane people can ever dream to become. the 20 second applause proves that i am right.

맞아요... 어린시절 영상을 보니 마음이 아프네요... 너무 안타깝습니다.
OMG his Bach is mindblowing!!! at age of 11 ??!!
I stumbled across this incredible violinist on TH-cam, absolutely breathtaking sound… just beautiful ❤❤❤❤
I hope more people get to witness this jawdropping example of how skilled humans can be
@YYwb
FYI he came from a family of musicians. Both his parents were professional violinists, and his grandmother was a professor of piano.
children must also be protected from their brilliant talent..........
This is a true miracle.
If you want to watch his recent performances which rarely uploaded in English, you can search in youtube with his name: 李传韵, or 李傳韻
He is a tremendous violin talent!
Preciso e Velocissimo!!!!!! Complimenti!!!!!! TALENTO!!!!!
really fantastic and mature playing for such a young guy.
天生的王者之气.
So jaw dropping speechless paralyzing without rival awesome the violinist of the violinists

I recommend something like "Great talent at age 11" or something simple like that. He is good. He is veeeeery goooood.
Absolutely amazing! he supposed to be the world most widely recognized violinist! suppose to gain the same fame as lang lang's today. can anyone explain why he hasn't yet? strange! maybe already is, just I didn't know.
He seems to have had some health and nervous health problems.💜
I like this song in a slower motion with soul he did good tho
However, i love his clarity in his childhood
@zzfinance I think as a grownup, his style totally changed, you can search his recent performance.
WOW :O
@twosetviolin , you guys should look at the Ling-Ling in the older generation
I dont know where to share it, but its really very precious.
Heard he suffered from a disease related to the nervous system back then, I hope he is okay now.
He played it as possessed here. Bravo!
I saw him performed recently at a live concert, it's a disappointing experience. I had high hopes before it.
why was it disappointing?
Him : i already practiced my violin today, next practice was paganini (not even minded for being a world class violinist)

his mom : pure genius 🥲🙏
Paganini : devil, why do you let me looking at this Genius before my death?? I need his advices and there's no time left for me. I'll being unpeace in my grave
Bach : i'm proud of you, later please use more phrasing okay (i'm sure y'all know how does his playing style today, especially his nel cor piu non mi sento 😭😎)
The camera can't keep up with his bow strokes ha!
Namo Amitabha
5:55 lol!
wow this kid (now a young) is marvelous. if i was a master teacher looking for a student i would choose him. But of course i am not a master teacher and he is no longer a student:)
Alexander Cabrera he was the student of Dorothy delays and perlman
Why I kinda feel that he played better than he does now... talented kid
you are tasteless
He got bored with normal playing. Just like modern art
He stressed himself overboard while aiming for perfection.
Wooow¡
Who was he in his last life? You can't possibly develop that kind of talent from birth.
His parents are famous violinists too!
He was. Now he is…
😮😮😮😮😮😮
i would say, michael rabin, compare his caprice 16 with chuanyun li´s one.. :) i´m not sure if you will find rabin´s caprice on youtube. good wishes
watch?v=ik62imgrM4M here it is^^ 43:20
it could be that rabins caprice sounds on this record different as on Michael Rabin- the earlys years. have fun
I think he over-indulged as he got older, seeing as he had that much talent. D: I really love his playing in this though.
@iamcrazymanable Good suggestion...
what concour is it
Junior Wieniawski 1991
How did he play that so well?
1. He is clearly a genius.
2. He PRACTICED 😂
He works really really hard. He pushes himself beyond and afar! May God bless him and watch over him forever!
He is a genius. I met him at his grandmother's place when he was 6 years old. He was very talented as a little boy. Both of his parents were violinist. His grandma were teaching piano.
7:05 that's her mother, a common worker from northern China.
His mother is my violin teacher. So no, she is not a common worker. She is from China though.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@searay32 I said that before seeing the Paganini OMG WTF
@ 3:40 he was almost into a slow-motion train wreck but pulled it back on the tracks quick! Why is he not the superstar he is supposed to be?...... perhaps because there are thousands of other violinists in China who can do back-flips while playing just as well....joking!..... because the music-world is cruel.
He became quite crazy when he grow up, you can search his name... Still a genius though.
+Haley Sabai He is famous.. Most Chinese people that are fond of violin regard him as one of the best violinists in China.
@YYwb i thought his family was from hongkong?
His parents and him moved to Hong Kong when he was 6.
可惜了
aye, I don't like his current style..he's even doing better in the old days
This performance is good. But recent ones are lousy... no music clarity and all played in a rush... Probably bored of playing violin or something...
I just saw him perform a few days ago... definitely an uncouth performance, whether his excuses from the stage (broken hand, girlfriend with cancer, etc) were real or not (probably half-truths, in addition to his being more than a little tipsy). Too rushed and there is no dynamic contrast or feel for the style,But at least he is playing in tune!

He's very ugly but plays really fantastic
As far as I know no human being is to be called "very ugly"...........period.
how horrid of you.
您長得很漂亮?
傳韻是個十分可愛的孩子
Unbelievable playing!
amazing !!!
