  • Fresh flagship pick-up brings a new look and serious off-road upgrades, for a handsome price 👉 Full Review: www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
    The upgraded MY23 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 range brings a comprehensive a midlife makeover for the fourth-generation pick-up revealed in late 2017 and released in Australia by General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) in March 2020.
    Topping the new full-size dual-cab range, which brings design, safety and multimedia technology upgrades to match the more popular RAM 1500 range (also ‘remanufactured’ by Walkinshaw Group), is the first Silverado ZR2.
    The bold new Silverado ZR2 effectively replaces the previous LT Trail Boss and is claimed to set new standards for on-road smoothness and off-road capability, for much less than the $210K RAM 1500 TRX.
    But at $133,000 plus on-road costs, is the ZR2 worth almost $50K more than the Ford Ranger Raptor?

    Hi Fans, 1:36 - Feann says the Silverado is built in Mexico, this is not the case, it’s built in North America.

      Mexico is North America. I bought mine and when I called to ask about the status they said it was shipping from Mexico.

      For one thing, Mexico IS in North America. You also call it a "turbo petrol" on the screen at 3:32 it's naturally aspirated. Then at 3:55 you say that the engine can run on 2 cylinders when it only has a V4 mode.

    Why do we miss out on the single cab versions they get in the US? A single cab would be way more useful with bigger tray. Also they have a shorter length so would be easier to park and turn in city areas. Better on off road tracks also. Also they look way cooler - like the pick ups of old. Ditch the Double Cab!

    Payload is poor, 3 blokes and 3 trailbikes plus gear for the weekend. You would be over the 717kg or right on it, did they move the bonnet release to the right ?

      Not really overblown waste of space though, is it? I’m a tradie with constant interstate work. It’s hard to find something with good overtaking power, comfortable for 10+ hour drives, good towing capability etc.. so it’s definitely applicable to a lot of people

    I can't watch the whole video as I just wish you guys would be honest. It's a terrible truck! for australia. If carsales actually tells the truth and admits that, they will never get a car/truck to review again. it's all very bias so you get advertising money etc.. NO proper bumper for kangaroos/cattle/deer--terrible truck. NO winch--terrible truck. NOT even 650 nm torque--terrible truck. NO sidesteps --terrible truck. NO sports bar --terrible truck. NO accessories--terrible truck. NO capped servicing--terrible truck. 3 year warranty--terrible truck. Lack of service centers--terrible truck. When are car reviewers actually going to start telling the truth and actually say when a car/truck is terrible and don't buy it. Honesty is always best

    Why are these so damned expensive there?!

    • @matthewh8005
      @matthewh8005 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because Chev has to make their profit on the original sale, then it has to be shipped here, then it has to be RH converted then GMSV has to get their profit from that, then the dealer has to get their profit after its shipped to them. Its pretty obvious why they are this expensive.
      If they were made RH at the factory and shipped to the dealer it would cheaper for us as the buyer but the insanely low amount that would sell compared to what sells in the US is just not worth it for the Big Three to consider making these RH in factory
