Finally glad to see someone video in my neck of the woods I fish this river a lot for crappie. If you go to the right around the rocks go about 25 yards up the bank past the tree in the water there’s some boulders on the bank fish about 3’-5ft deep I usually catch my limit there. Hope to see you out some time. Cheers
When I fished for Crappie (Calico Bass ?) i found them to be finicky. Sometimes they would bite on various lures, other times on a wet fly. And yes, they do school.
8:18 I would have been hard -pressed to throw that dude back in! I have some of those frogs and have yet to catch anything on them. You've given me hope. LOL
Before the river came up here. I found a spot where noone would try. By the sand where the river flows into from 2-3 sides. They wouldn’t thump it but just be heavy on the line like you said in the video. Another awesome and informative video! Tight lines and fish on! 🎣🎣
I bought the Creme Panfish Book at Wal Mart last summer. My luck fishing for panfish with lures like you get in these (grubs, tubes, etc) has not been that good but seeing your success here makes me want to try again.
I have seen those at Bass Pro thanks for doing the review. Looks like a trip to Bass Pro Shops Saturday is called for. My son will get a lot out of that kit.
@@CreekFishingAdventures He is just getting back into fishing. So this will help him make up his mind. Thanks for getting me headed in a good direction.
Nice video buddy and you can get those cream frogs at Walmart. They work well for creeks. Definitely a good day of fishing especially for winter time. 👊👍
Nice video, I just picked up one of these the past weekend with a bass pro gift card, originally got it for the small frogs but I may be using more than that now! Thx
oh awesome, i dont know if they have been there a long time or not, first time i saw them was 2 weeks ago. i never would have looked there in the kids section if my nephew hadnt got it
I spied that kit myself there at BPS. But I just purchased a kit from Lelands Lures/Trout Magnet. I caught some red breast, a huge shiner and a female red breast...I think, at a park in Atlanta walking my dog...folks freaked and that made it cool...😁
I love the 96 cent creme tubes at Walmart
The crappie shad with the chartruese tail, black back and grey front is my best crappie bait for algae stained water
Fishing panfish with light tackle is one of the most fun anyone can have fishing I think. Great job as always

I rarely catch Crappie except during the spawn. When the males get real dark. Otherwise I catch them by accident.
