Thank you so much, I can't get out to go fishing but watching you fish is the next best thing God bless you and keep you safe thank you for the scriptures
Man, I never get tired of seeing you fish these small creeks. Just fishing small things close to where you work, or drive over everyday is awesome. You have made me get my gear ready for slammin' some creaks man. I was mad that my 13 foot telescopic crappy pole had its largest section crushed, but then I thought... Hmm, maybe I can salvage the smallest section to make basically a tanago pole just for micro fishing. It's not about what you land.... It's about having fun, and catching SOMETHING. Thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us, and inspiring people to just fish. Never loose that enthusiasm please. 👍👍🎣🐟
Love this! I fish irrigation ditches that come off the Kankakee river in Indiana all the time. There are a few popular tourist lakes nearby that get heavy traffic. I like seeing people pulling their boats past me as I pull fish after fish out of these irrigation ditches they never looked twice at.
My hometown Maryville, even though Cleveland has been the last 42 years. OMG I just realized where you are now. My Dad grew up in Maryville about 200 yards from that creek! I have played in it a handful of times as a little kid. My aunt lives in my grandmother's old house and it's still just about 200 yards from that creek! Sooooo cooool!
I can't believe it. That walking bridge is where my dad, uncle, and aunts all played when they were kids. They all went to Ft Craig school just a half mile from where you are. I used to drive my grandmother's old CJ5 up and down the alley just up from here when I was 7 to maybe 13 years old and when I got the courage I would take it around the block. The windows of the soft top were so sun baked no one could see in. That's what I learned to drive a stick shift in. I don't know how we have not crossed paths before John. I have to show my Dad this right now!!!
@@CreekFishingAdventures Had my Dad watch the video. He said that creek used to be full of fish back in the latest 50s and early 60s. He said he caught 200 little fish out of that creek in one day.
Love the channel and having a son love the video from today! Fished a little creek near my house here in So Cal..I know hard to believe...a ton of creek chubs and green sunfish...I tried catching the little guys on a 1/32 rooster tail but they would hit it but couldn't hook them...went to a small mosquito hook and piece of nightcrawler and caught one every cast...Need tips on the rooster tail size, and speed of retrieval if you can...
We tried this Easter weekend, when the quarantine was just getting started. We fished mulejigs on ultralight in a creek 2 blocks from our house that goes right through town. My son and I caught 6 different species in 90 minutes and had a blast.
Never have I fished a creek before I came across this channel and I live in Tennessee as well. I have went twice so far and have really enjoyed the quality of fish I have caught. It’s also a great experience of nature as well.
You're intro with the little fish tipping over the camera is so funny. Many times your video will play on auto play and will play past your intro and I'll rewind it again just to watch it, lol.
I have fished that creek many times. I used to mow Maryville little league and decided to bring my rod one day. I caught largemouth bass, sunfish, sucker fish and baby crappie. Cool video.
Your views on God are the reason I watch this channel. love the versus at the end of your videos. Staywho you are and what God has meant you to be. thank you you are a true blessing. You are right on Q about doing what God wants us to do and being the light God wants us to be two other people thank you.
Man, your videos are so inspirational! I just got back into fishing, had no luck on the local lakes and rivers, so I followed your lead and started creek fishing! My current go to spot is a small creek I drive over on the way to drop off my son at school. This morning I took an hour on the way home and caught 14 fish!
I was working a bridge demolition once, and one of the excavators was scooping rubble out of the creek when the bucket came out with a solid 2 and a half foot flathead flopping around inside. We had a good laugh at that.
We live in Maryville! I knew right where that creek was. Just checking out videos to get some ideas on where to take the kiddos to catch some fish. Never done much fishing myself but trying to see what it's all about for them.
I was planning on fishing my creeks in kouts just looked up creek fishing to see what to cast and then I find a video w a dude fishing a creek near me , great video
I have been a long time lake and pond fisherman who ran across your channel. I am lucky that I happen to live in the middle of the Monocacy River (Maryland) watershed with tons of creeks all around me. I just went down to the creek that’s like 250yds from my house with my fly rod and a pack of trout magnets........in 3 hrs I caught no less than 50 fish including 6 smallies of around a pound each and several fall fish and bluegill. I had no idea smallmouths were even in this creek. It was so crazy that I caught a smallie, I unhooked it and was trying to figure out how to get back to my bag on shore to grab a photo. I dropped the lure in the water at my feet and a dang bluegill grabbed it and almost yanked the rod out from under my arm. It was freaking fun as all get out !! Thank you so much for your amazing channel. I love ultralight and fly fishing and it’s tailor made for the many creeks just a short hop from my house ! Consider me addicted to these creeks !!
Those little creek chubs will follow or hammer just about anything. They’ll snip at baits their own size or bigger. The bigger creek chubs or fall fish are aggressive and put up a good fight.
I have always loved creek fishing. When you wade one, you have that stream all to yourself. There is no fishing pressure, and chances are those fish have never seen a lure. I once fished Bull Run (yes, that Bull Run) in the middle of a drought in August. I found a nice, deep pool, and used a spinner with an imitation crayfish. It was high noon, and I caught four smallmouth bass and a catfish, all within half an hour. The smallest bass was roughly 13" long; the largest was 18". I've found that fishing during extended periods of drought in small streams concentrates the fish and makes them more competitive (that's my theory and I'm sticking to it!).
Nice job. It would be interesting if you have a video that shows the various actions of the baits you use underwater. What they look like to a fish and how to work them. I'm a saltwater surf-caster but you almost got me wanting to try some of my local creeks...LOL
Love the videos man. I'm so happy your channel is doing so well. You deserve it, i have been around since close to when you had 2k subs. So I have been a sub since the beginning. So it's awesome to see your channel grow this big. Keep up the good work.
Sure reminds me of being a kid catching clubs under the freeway and tossing them up to freak people out when they drove thru, the things kids do right!
Yes always regret the nice trout i caught on a wretched worm or bread in a little stream near our house, and killing everyone of them. That stream now runs under a social housing development and those trout are no more. That and the water voles also killed with our catapults (sling shots)
I have a creek 1/4mile away from my house dedicated to catching chub and bluegill its not a big creek but ive caught a couple 1/2 lb chub i use them for catfish bait
shows you don't have to have a 90mph bass-boat and 20-grand in gear to have fun.....real fishermen get a buzz off wetting a line for fish big or small. every day doesn't have to be derby day. i like this, this is most enjoyable like when we were children....kutgw.
@@CreekFishingAdventures afyer watching your video I use similar baits and have had some good luck. Pulled some nice smallmouth with the ned heads and baby brushhog.
I grew up in Ohio which in Native American Ohio means land of many streams. I had a really good buddy from Tennessee I always liked hunting with him in Georgia. My ma' from Ky. We ate a lot of bluegills, bullheads & Rock bass . In Georgia I use to fish next to some small Gators they were always basking as long as I didn't get near them they didn't cross or dive for momma which I never saw but stayed 10ft back from the Lilly pads. I saw a pike that looked too big for the small creek it was in on a golf course. I wasn't going to use my clubs, but I probably could've. It was a strange sight.
We’re on vacation and my wife just noticed this exact creek when we drove over it. She yelled out “that’s where creek fishing adventures was fishing!” Haha caught us off guard.
Well Brother, I went to take you up on your challenge. 4lb test, 1/16 white jig, red sparkle tube bait with a white tail and a thunderstorm right over me. Second cast something “A LOT” bigger than my equipment could handle put me in the bushes growing along edge and broke me off. It started pouring literally seconds after. All I could do was sit there and laugh. Walked home fishless in the pouring rain, lightning flying. I’ll try again tomorrow. Lol. Great video!!
I love catching chubs on an ultralight setup. They are awesome fighters, especially when you get them 8-12".
