Oh and don't you EVER be sorry for sharing your love and tears, darling! What a beautiful place this world would be if everyone just shared their love and tears!
Can u believe these 2 dorks, Matt and Ben, started writing this in their early twenties, having no idea what or how to write! And someone they knew was blown away, and got a rough bit to robin! And how they got Robin and Stellen to do this, I'll never know! Robin won an Oscar for this! After Robin died, Matt goes back to the bench every year on Robin's bday, sometimes with his kids. The park bench is a memorial now! The younger guy is Casey Affleck! The red head is now in Yellowstone, Cole Hauser! A fantastic actor, but a bit of a loose cannon. His father was even a better actor, but certifiable! Wings Hauser!! Originally, they didn't know how to write the end. Robin comes up with the final line, director and Matt look at each other like, Movie done! He add-libbed the wife farting lines. Matt is cracking up for real. Even the camera man was rolling....look at the camera frame on that scene, it's shaking! Robin has done several top feel good movies. This, patch Adams, good morning Vietnam, awakenings, Dead Poets, and really one could say the bird cage, Doubtfire and Jumanji....which is really a movie about Spielberg's relationship with his dad.
I love this movie, and really enjoyed your reaction to it. This was the film that Robin Williams won his Oscar for, but his best performance is probably 'Dead Poet's Society." I always loved Robin Williams' comedy, but he became something really special once he'd transitioned to these dramatic roles. His ability to make you feel what his character is feeling is incredible, and yet that Robin Williams wit always shines through. Another fun movie with him is 'Hook' ~ in which he portrays a grown-up Peter Pan.
@@ryanmckenna3503 That's a good correlation to the park bench monolog. I always say it like this.... "Every 18 year old knows everything. Every 30 year old knows that they didn't know s#!t when they were 18." 😉
I watch this at least once a year. The fact that the 2 friends write this together based on their hometown in Boston, and that we love when Ben has that silly smile when Will is not there.
@@watchwithjayy If you liked that, Elliott Smith has a lot of songs just like it. He's got some great albums. I recommended the albums 'Either/Or' or 'XO'. Two of my favorites. He died unfortunately but has a lot fans still. As cobrakari said, there are a few songs by Elliott in this film. The one you said you liked is called 'No Name #3' from his first album called 'Roman Candle'. Another great album.
Thank you for being so real during this reaction. If you want to watch more Robin Williams, there is the drama/fantasy What Dreams May Come (bring tissues for this!), the family movie Hook, the dark comedy Death to Smoochy, and the thriller One Hour Photo.
I’m so sorry about the loss of your fiancé. What a traumatic tragedy I’m sure his spirit is still with you. May he rest in peace. 🕊️💐 It was such a good time watching this movie with you and I’m so happy you liked it !🙌
Thanks for sharing part of your life with us. It's so sad you lost your love at the beach. I lost someone too, but I'd never trade a day of it that we shared. This movie made me laugh and cry. We see him driving away at the end, but we know he is driving out to be with Skylar.
Just watched you for the first time as I love this film. New subscriber. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your partner. I’ve recently lost someone special to me as wel and I do not regret a single moment with them as sad as it is to see them leave ❤
“Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” Of course you don’t wish you had never met him. You loved him and you have happy memories of time you spent together. You’re not ever going to let the sadness (which may lose some of its sting with time, but which never goes away completely) take away those memories. I’m not sure what you saw at the end that made you think the movie didn’t end happily. He did go to California to be with Schuyler.
I didn’t think it didn’t end happily not sure what made you feel that way I said I wish I could of seen her face when she seen him that’s all but I cried at the end because I thought it was beautiful
Please continue discovering the astounding talents of singer-songwriter, Kenny Loggins! I promise you'll find his vocal range and abilities as well as the instrumentation and arrangements intriguing and impressive. There are great videos of live performances from another outdoor concert from 1993 called Outside: From the Redwoods. He cowrote the hit song What a Fool Believes with Michael McDonald and he brings Michael on stage for a wonderful version at that iconic song. Other mind-blowing performances at the same concert are: If You Believe Conviction of the Heart Leap of Faith His big movie soundtrack hits were never among my favorites. Some well-known (and not so much known) songs mainly from the 1970s and 1980s that I really think you'd appreciate are: Lady Luck Easy Driver Wait a Little While Daddy's Back Why Do People Lie Down and Dirty Mr. Night Leap of Faith Sweet Reunion Isabella's Eyes The Rest of Your Life And for sure check out the Loggins and Messina era from 1973 to 1977! He, Jim Messina, and many talented musicians teamed up to make some great music. My suggestions are: Angry Eyes Nobody But You Back to Georgia Trilogy: Lovin Me, Make a Woman Feel Wanted, Peace of Mind (there's a live album version that's my favorite) Vahevela Another Road to Go Enjoy! Kenny has ❤ This is It (huge hit and another song cowritten with Michael McDonald)
loved the reaction! one of my all-time favorite movies! p.s. you're using your mic wrong. talk towards the front, not the top. you might have the gain turned up too high to compensate for not speaking towards capsule. that's why you can hear your mic distorting.
The song you're referring to and the ending credits is by an artist called Elliot Smith. He's great. Edit : I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your man :( I can't imagine what it must have felt like on the day, or the following days. I can't even imagine trying to recover from that loss.
You always make such fantastic reaction videos. I hope you are enjoying all your experiences with these classic movies. It's so fun re-watching these things with you. ~Love & Respect to you and your family.
Love this movie. Too much to say about it, so I’ll just say I wish more people recognized Casey Affleck as Ben’s real life brother, which adds another special dimension to this film. He’s such a great comic relief. Also, red-head Cole Hauser, from Dazed and Confused back in the 90s, also with Ben Affleck, and currently one of the big stars of Yellowstone, almost unrecognizable playing Rip.
Highly, highly enjoyed the reaction. If you're interested in seeing more Robin Williams material there's a great little gem called 'The Fisher King' from back a few years earlier than this one. He's at his most outrageous and poignant. It also shows how some people deal with trauma.
I think it's a perfect ending. Everything we need to know is implied in those last scenes - she loves him, and he's finally in a place where he can accept that. He's finally free of his pain and can live a happy life with her.
You do grow as a person from loss, I hope you never gorget who you are and your worth. Also I enjoyed your reaction to the movie. Goodwill Hunting is in my top ten all time movies.
Such a great movie I wish you had more time to add to the edit. The music fits the feels of the film but I understand that YT won't allow to to do that.
Did i miss something, did Skylar ask Will to get married and move to Cali with her? If not, why not? Did she just want to keep him at her side to keep dating and balling at night? Did she want Will as her fiance? Does anyone know? The movie isnt clear on this.
