@@MamasBricks no that's the thing it doesn't help with which I feel is deeply unfair, especially when you order hundreds, even thousands of bricks from the service.
Thanks for reminding me of a few “quirks” I had forgotten! The most frustrating thing about the B&P is only loading 12 extra parts at a time when you are paging through all parts in a set (well, apart from the vaporising your basket if you use the back button 🤬). Don’t forget you can also see which parts are in each set on Brickset - just choose the “parts” tab on the set’s detail page. I find this is a much more friendly way to search for something in a specific set 👍
Oh I use BrickLink for that. The older sets don't seem to all be complete on BrickSet. Also if I see something I like I can instantly add it to a wanted list!
A couple of tips to add to bricks & pieces *1) Every time you have 10 or 20 different elements in your bag if you press the ‘CONFIRM ORDER’ it will put it into your normal lego basket as one ‘parts online’ item and from there you can click on edit which takes you back to bricks & pieces with your bag open & viewable again. If you pressed back at this point you will still have in your lego basket what was there before you pressed edit. Or at the very minimum keep taking photos of your bag as you go along which is what I used to do *2) preparing a list before you start with your codes of sets/parts you want saves lots of time, to many random adds and if you do lose your basket you can have added any extras you might have been tempted by! I’m definitely one of those that buys from bricks & pieces ‘too much’!! But such lovely orders to receive 🥰 x Thanks for the Brickset info too as that will really help me find parts for my lists quicker 👍🏼

How often does LEGO restock their pieces? I’ve been wanting to get my hands on some hair pieces that look like they were very common but I haven’t found out when they normally restock pieces on their website.
just started using bricks and pieces recently to buy minifigures to build a black falcon army. I can confirm that you can actually buy more than 200. You see, you can only select 200 as the max quantity for the item in the bag, BUT you can add the item to the bag as many times as you want and it will appear in the bag as many times as you've added it. e.g. I could add a piece to my bag twice and it will appear in the bag twice, and then you could select 200 for both in order to get 400. =) you're welcome.
Thank you for this, Robin! I had never heard of Bricks and Pieces before this video! I wish I had known about Bricks and Pieces before I spend £101 on Pick a Brick! I do had a question though: If a baseplate is retired (Tan baseplate) can you still buy it on Bricks and Pieces?

@@RobinHoodBricks hi like city your building!!!
How often does LEGO restock their pieces? I’ve been wanting to get my hands on some hair pieces that look like they were very common but I haven’t found out when they normally restock pieces on their website.
You should be able to find a wide selection on Bricks & Pieces at any time. Pick A Brick barely has any!
Some great information Robinhoodbricks
Glad to be of help!
just started using bricks and pieces recently to buy minifigures to build a black falcon army.
Yes, I've done this a few times since. It is a useful glitch!
Where is part 2?
It is yet to be done. Very busy at the moment!
@@RobinHoodBricks well thank you for part 1. Is it weird I could hear your voice as I read your reply 😂 ?
Thank you this helped me alot
Excellent news. Thanks for telling me!
thanks for your help...
You're welcome!
Search for part 3811. A 32x32 baseplate in Tan is available for me!
@@RobinHoodBricks Amazing! Thanks! I wanted a beach in my City (KT’s.BricksVille) but the baseplates were retired! I can finally make a beach! Woohoo! 🎉
Very helpful!
Very kind!
Cool, seems like a nice series
Thanks very much!
Robin Hood Bricks you’re welcome:)
thanks for the tips (although I knew it all already - learned it all the hard way lol)... but are you sure Bricks and Pieces don't count towards VIP points? I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure my last order through that earned me some points...
yep I checked: I ordered some parts last month via B&P, and according to my VIP account, on the very same day, I got some points too (and I didn't order anything but parts that time)
Argh, annoying. I checked that point but stupidly used Google instead of my own account. I have pinned a correction comment but I will brace myself for the inevitable deluge of comments from making a mistake, haha!
@@RobinHoodBricks Don't torture yourself, Robin. That's my job ;)
You can't know everything. Not even the mighty Captain Mutant knows everything, and if I don't, that's your get out of jail free card right there :D
Lego pick a brick is not available in my country.
I can't imagine that. Nooooo!
It isn't available in Estonia
OMG nooooooooo!
@@RobinHoodBricks yeah, i was so happy because i thought it would work, now im just dissapoonted
I do like your ‘haw haw’ laugh 😂 when you say something like ‘could become a habit’ lol x
Thank you, haw haw!
Thank you
You are welcome!
Very helpful thanks 👍
Much appreciated!
What sucks is that you can't track your B&P orders, I got 93€ worth of tan baseplates and I would love to know how the order is going because right now I feel scammed lol 😂
My longest wait was months and I forgot what I ordered it was so long. I think baseplates may slow it down!
@@RobinHoodBricks Well, at least I'm not in a hurry. Forgetting about it and recieving a parcel with those baseplatew forgetting I ordered them might make it more exciting haha
I didn't need to pay when I used bricks and pices, then again I use missing piece
Yes I had a train piece missing once!
At least in the US, Bricks and Pieces qualify for VIP points, as well. This was a recent change.
doglyfe4444 Here in Norway, too!
Yes it has changed. I checked before filming and Google told me wrong. Doh!
very helpful thank
You're welcome!
Isnt using bricks and pieces techinacilly using it for the wrong purpose? Youre kind of assuming that you have a broken/missing brick.
No, there's one button for broken or missing pieces and one for buying bricks!
very helpfull thanks
Great to hear!
All hair please
Not sure I get this!
@@RobinHoodBricks ok?
Yes great thanks!
Iv found pieces more expensive on bricks and pieces
Oh yes, you need to check both. Usually it's cheaper though!
Another major drawback of Bricks and Pieces is that it isn't available in every country :(
Where are you? That's just awful!
Robin Hood Bricks I’m from Slovenia. I suppose the country is too small for Lego to bother. 😉
It's not that much further away. Grrr!
It's a good thing I don't have money now, or I'd spend it all...
Haha!
Part 1: Buying pieces
Part 2: Credit Card Information
Haha!
He sounds like mumbo jumbo in the beging
It might just be an English accent!
If one doesn't like costly habits, one should refrain from Lego. 😛
Soooo true!
I hear you! I just created a few new MOCs and went to price it all up - and then I cried a little.
I still haven't costed Fast Food Corner as I feared the outcome. Now it is thankfully too late to work it out!
Robin Hood Bricks I costed my Outpost. All five variations. It ain’t pretty. Plus I don’t even have the excitement of reaching 10k 😛
Ouch.
I checked up with LEGO yesterday for progress and they reminded me they haven't even started looking at them yet. I'm just too excited, I guess!
