Vlog #4 Makes, Mistakes and Plans

Thanks for joining me today as I tell you about things I have made this week and what went well and what didn't and also things I am thinking of making soon, if I can make myself trace them out! I am also getting more invested in fiddling with the video editing as you will probably see with all the little words that come up 😂
Totally forgot to apologise to my Mum, she complained that I said I didn't know anyone that sews but she made her own uniform at school and went to college with her friends and made aprons etc, but to be fair she hasn't sewn anything or used a sewing machine since 1966 so I think I was justified to say I don't know anyone who sews (sorry Mum!)

Have you thought about dyeing your “scrubs”? I made a toile of a dress once which turned out really well but I wouldn’t have worn the colour, so I dyed it in the washing machine with a commercial dye. It turned out brilliantly. The only part that didn’t take the dye was the polyester thread but fortunately there were only a couple of bits on show, which I unpicked and replaced with matching thread. I love the dress and wear it a lot. Well done on your vlog

Love your Sagebrush, have you tried putting it on without a fastening, I have the bow but don’t use it. Your Patina blouse is lovely, I’m waiting for my pattern to arrive to make this

It does fit over my head actually, I put a button hole in and added a button but I don’t really need to undo it, thanks for the suggestion! I am sure you will enjoy making the patina, I do think I did something wrong on the collar so will watch that for the next one I make.
