I love that you spend half the game playing these characters and building up the belief that they're amazingly powerful and then Kiryu just storms in and flattens them both effortlessly. Go back to the playground, little boys. The *Adult* is in town now.
Can’t say I thought the same way. I hated that Kiryu was a guest character of his own franchise and when I got to play him I expected him to obliterate everyone else in the game. Got a bit disappointed they settles for a draw with Saejima
@@dragonkamran It's a bit of a symbolism thing. Are you familiar with the Dragon vs Tiger thing? In mythology, they're supposed to be equals; neither of them is capable of defeating the other, at best being able to reach a stalemate.

Fighting any of the characters in Yakuza games that are also playable as well as being bosses is the weirdest feeling as you’re getting hit by moves you’ve also used on other people, especially when Kiryu hits you with the Tiger Drop, you’re so used to obliterating people with it yourself that when it’s used against you it feels wrong
So are Yumi and Nishiki, as well as more I'm probably forgetting or haven't seen yet. Kiryu needs to stop leaving his enemies lying on the ground after beating them in a fist fight.
@@MugdhaMahdiShams At least Tanimura can disarm folks with guns (I think, he's the only one who disarmed antagonists in cutscenes. Hell, there was a substory when Tanimura charged straight forward a guy who was aiming a pistol at him)

Akiyama and Tanimura not recognising Kiryu was a little strange. Akiyama knew who Kiryu was that's a fact and Tanimura in his line of work may have heard of him at least But the fight was epic
akiyama probably forgot how kiryu looks after 5 years or didn't know at all and tanimura may have heard that kiryu left kamurocho a year ago and the rumors about his return didn't reach him yet
I know it'd probably have put more pressure on the dev team, but it'd have been pretty cool to see the protagonists with different Heat colours. Kiryu of course would be either red or blue, Saejima I can see as green, Tanimura dull white/gray, and Akiyama yellow or purple
Kiryu can keep blue/red, and I can see Akiyama with magenta or purple, Saejima with green, and Tanimura with cyan. If the colors carried over to 5, I'd give Shinada yellow heat.
I still don't know how Kiryu was right behind them, but they had so much time to talk in that little alcove before Kiryu arrived. Did you stop for a smoke break, Kiryu? 🤔😋
I took out Tanimura first saw him as too big a threat with his parries so yeah I never saw the Heat QTE especially since I finished the fight by wallbounding Akiyama
They changed him because the previous actor retired. But from evidence it seems like all they did to make this new model was tweak certain parts of the old one and give it different hair. And it's a different voice actor too.

Everyone's heard the name Kazuma Kiryu, but nobody knows what he actually looks like. Even his impersonator didn't recognise him.
People know who Kiryu is, not how he looks like. He's popular because of his actions, not his face. Kinda like a legend.

He didn’t beat him though, when the fight was broken off by Haruka Saejima was on the verge of collapsing while Kiryu was unfazed by the whole thing
Of course Tanimura is harder to fight here with that quickstep and square/triangle but yet he’s physically the weakest out of the 3
