- Took me several tries to be able to record it all in one go and with no weapons, no armor, no items and a liiiittle gracefully (maybe except for Saejima's part), but I somehow managed to do it. This game's Amons may be the easiest in comparison to other games but god damn there's something about this game's fights that I love more than other games. It could be because of Rebellions, it could be because of the way they hyped up the battles for each character which might have seemed better to me than some other games, it could be how beautiful the arena looks in this game, or all of them combined. It's also been a while since I've heard "Hear This In The Game." I'm happy with how the video turned out in general. But anyway, I hope you enjoy watching the video!

Know what would be really funny? If there was a Yakuza spinoff where you played as Jo Amon, and after completing everything to face off against Kiryu, you wind up fighting Jo as Kiryu instead just so he'll never win.
And Kiryu will be with all the skills unlocked XD
Why not make kiryu 2x the difficulty of Ex Hard, then if you still beat him he will tiger drop you and it oneshots. So Jo Amon will never win

I’m sure it’s a tough fight, but it’s bizarre seeing the amons with only two health bars, I’m so used to them having a ridiculous amount of health.
Between four characters, that's a lot. Especially with how much grinding would have to be done, yeah. They might have thrown players a bone, here.
Notice that they also regen health if not attacked for a short while. Saejima fight definitely had an extra bar out of all regen
In yakuza 0 jo and so Amon both have 10 health bars just like riuji goda in yakuza kiwami 2
And then you have Yakuza 6 where Amon only has 1.

Out of a series brimming with style this entry really seems to up the ante in some really amusing ways.

Mike Henny not really. As far as I know, Tanimura and Akiyama never remove their shirts during battle, which they most likely don’t have them. Even if they do, their outfit already symbolizes their Celestial animals already. Akiyama’s maroon suit represents the Zhu Que fiery and Tanimura’s blue coat acts a shell, similar to GUI Xiang.
Akiyama can literally power cities for months using his energy for every fight
Saejima looks like he can kill any person barehand
Takimura is a cocky boi but still always wins
And Kiryu looks so serious he looks like he can kill people just by looking at them

Kiryu spitting a cigarette in Jo's face caught me off guard and I cackled out loud. I hope they bring that heat action back, although it seems more like a Majima antic, to me.

I love that heat action but it should do less damage if someone is wearing glasses
It's Kiryu's way of paying homage to his friendly rival Majima.
There is something really cool about how these fights are set up, each of the main characters take their turns to defeat each amon and it totally get you hyped to that final battle with Amon. It may be a little easier than in previous games but they can still blow your hp in a second if you get cocky
first time i was flying on them until amon revived and then i had him at close to dying, boom, satelite shots stright up of a 2D fighting game killed me in an instant...
「Loru Apollo」 I mean they certainly aren’t easy but I’m so used to them having a ridiculous amount of hp like in all the other games.

It still kinda is a lot of hp, just split into different phases

While certainly the Amon Clan are no pushovers, yet they always lose, because of pride, lust for power and overconfidence. The Amon Clan are lethal, skilled, competent and powerful warriors(to the point of being outright superhumans), but their egos hamper them from achieving their potentials.
Noa is probably the smartest amon in that respect mainly because she listen's to what haruka says and not only does she accept what she's saying but she understands the amon way is flawed

God I loved fighting them in this game. Its always awesome to see all the protags come together, basically say "I've got your back", and kick ass.
This 4 on 4, one at time shit is like something out of a shounen with everyone just watching in the background.

@@ElissaMai Tell that to the 3rd protagonist (I can't remember his name) who got shot like 20 times and lost little slivers. It was just a lot of damage I wasn't expecting seeing as Saejima is huge, acting as the tank

I've always loved the progression of Amon in the games and by the Yakuza 5 when Kiryu alters the way he fights slightly you face Amon fighting like Kiryu did from Yakuza 1-4 and it made sense since he was using the IF7 to train against Kiryu

What I was saying is that in Yakuza 3 when it's discovered that Amon used the IF7 to train against his experiences of Kiryu that by Yakuza 5 when Kiryu altered the way he threw his attacks, look closely you'll see that Kiryu's Rush Combo blows are quite subtly different from 1-4's which Amon decided to try fight like Kiryu but he could only fight like Kiryu from previous titles

I beat these guys and now I feel like a chump because you used so many moves I didn't even know Saejima/Kiryu had even though I maxed out all their techniques. This was awesome.

God that saejima bit on ex hard drove me close to tears, still managed to pull through somehow.
Jiro ticked me off so much with his damn healing in this fight that eventually I just cheesed it like hell and brought some guns to the fight to pop him with. Saejima's got a gun buying achievement anyway, so it all worked out.
And at last Jo Amon was killed by Kenshiro
These boss fights are so cool.
Yakuza 4 is the only game where beating Amon was easy

Kiryu fought Jo Amon three times. He fights So Amon in 0, while Majima handles Jo.

This fight looked a whole lot different on the PC remastered collection. Jiro in particular pops his healing thing so quickly and so frequently that it pops between each individual punch in Saejima's rush combo. Idk if that's a PC thing in general or a 144fps thing, but I couldn't figure out how the game developers thought that made for a good boss fight. Seeing how that fight is supposed to look here makes it all make a lot more sense.
I used guns on Jiro while he was in his healing stage the damage they did was slightly more than the health he could gain back

IMO, Akiyama is the best character to play as.
Guys for Jiro Amon use that armor that gives you invulnerability to a hit every now and then, the one you get completing all the subquests. He'll hit and do no damage, meanwhile you're there punching his ass!

You're great! It was entertaining and yet educational to watch your video, and learn new techniques! And not a scratch on Kiryu while battling Amon! Simply awesome!
So the best recommendation would be to enter the fight drunk and best fully raged up?
Indeed, being drunk gives you access to certain heat actions in the case of Akiyama and Kiryu, and starting the fight with max heat is always good.
Just got done with this encounter in the PC version. You'd think combat would be easier at 60 FPS, but the doubled frame rate somehow messed with the Quickstep. Damn they can really travel with it at 30 FPS!
A four versus one Amon boss fight would be pretty damn difficult but pretty awesome at the same time if they didn't come along to help kiryu with the Amon clan

Listening to the battle theme between Kiryu and Jo Amon reminds me of the song Barricuda by Heart, other than that great video.
Still baffles me that we can't go underground in kamurocho in Yakuza 6 but in 4 we can. Kinda felt the developers got lazy or something.
They were probably still getting used to the new engine, because a lot of people give 6 a lot of flack for a lot of quality of life gameplay elements but absolutely love Kiwami 2

because he was drunk. just drink wine (sake, beer,...) and your heat gauge will fill much faster than normal. also, i think that he maxed out all the characters stat by defeating all enemies which appear in IF7-R machine.
