let me know if you get rattle on yours! I have this same exact model but it vibrates like crazy against my windshield (i've remounted it several times but no luck). Only really happens at higher speeds however, could also be because of the piped in cabin noise too. Clean install though, hide those pesky wires!
@@turbo_tin probably hard to compare I guess, I drive a 2022 hyundai veloster n at the moment so hard to compare to an FL5 (although I guess I'll find out here in a few years if I find one). I get rattles with my dash cam however in my softest suspension mode (even on 18" wheels with more side wall). I'm actually starting to suspect the rattle is coming from something with the GPS module of the dashcam itself because I'm still hearing rattles coming off of it even when I'm applying pressure against it with my hand to hold it snug. Maybe my unit just has a faulty GPS module, let me know how yours goes!
Thanks for the detailed fuse explanation, but you probably installed the wire directly over the A pillar airbag. Did you pull the trim to confirm you were not blocking the airbag?
Will the dash cam stay on and powered when you turn the car off? I seen that it has parking mode and that you have to enable it because it's off by default. Though on mine that I just installed today... when I turn the car off even after enabling its still turning off I think. I might need to switch the fuse taps around
Have you had any trouble with the SanDisk High Endurance sd cards? I'm troubleshooting some issues I'm having with my Viofo cameras not recording but 1sec or 45sec videos even though there is space. I read online that the "Max" Endurance is recommended over the "High" Endurance and wondering if you have had any recording problems?
@@turbo_tin Possibly! I had them set to record 10 min intervals but sometimes they would and other times they wouldn't. I brought them inside last night to reconfigure some other settings (like turning motion sensor off, changing the file format to .ts instead of .mp4, etc) to try to fix it, and that's when I saw that Viofo recommends the Max over the High endurance sd card. I also thought that maybe the problem is the power cord and I should hardwire them, which is how I came across your video. I'll test them again with these new settings, and I've gone ahead and ordered Max endurance sd cards. Hopefully one or all of those things fix it! Thanks for the tutorial! I'll be referring back to this when I get to the hardwiring point.

Was the interior fuse panel exposed or did you pull an interior panel to get to it? I swear I’m missing a panel lol😂 thanks

Mine will turn off after a bit and automatically turn on when it detects something. Check your tap
What setting did you use on the low voltage battery protection switch?

Hi Sydney. Sorry to hear that. I have not had any problem at all with the high endurance card. Could it be your recording intervals?

When I use those fuses my heated seats and car display stopped working. Is there alternative fuses?
