Skeeride Polaris Rc Snowmobile in Deep Snow

- This is the skeeride rc snowmobile. It is made with a 3d printer. I have used mods on it to for example make the rider lean. I have added the logos myself.

That high speed pass at the end reminds me of my ZRT 600.

Like 10 or more years ago a guy made some nitro powered RC sleds. They were pretty badass. All Arctic Cats, guessing he was a AC fan. But ya can't compete with brushless and lipo power. That thing rips!

i have wanted a rc sled for many years but i dont know how to build them and this is perfect for the place i live on but i dont have a 3d printer so i cant build it and it looks so fun to play with

I have tried to find one of these but I cant
I have a question. I just orinted the adjustable steering arms and the servo arm to steering arm connector. but the plastic around the holes in the steering arms at the servo side look so very fragile. What is your experience? do they break easy or are they ok? The side that will have the balljoint thing threaded in it is nice and bulky. that looks ok
I use a mod called “rack”. You can find it in the skeeride mods folder

I used a filament that I got here in Sweden. It is a regular PLA filament. I have installed the durability kit for skeeride on my mini factory, rack steering, leaning rider, ball end spindles and extra lights.

I have, but most of the times it would just go unstable and crash
Wow! So cool to see this thing with a rider. I am printing the same snowmobile and the only things left are the left and right main body panels and a rider. Someone designed a rider for the skeeride and also put the files there and I was planning to print that too maybe. But now I saw yours and it would be great to have that one. Is it a design you are willing to send me? or is the design already on the internet? Or is this the design that is in between the skeeride files? they looked bulky when I saw then in Cura and your rider is slim.
I have some rc piste bullies. one graupner blizzard and one dicky pistenking that I and converting to hobby grade. Great fun but slow. Then I found Pascal Roberts his channel. What he makes is great but was not available ( now it is) and I started to design my own snowmobile. After a few days I came across the skeeride and decided to buy this instead of re-inventing the wheel. Printed batches now and then and assembled diring the way. But then sommer and other things on my mind and now winter again and wintersport holiday will be soon. ( need to take it to austria or france because here in the south west of the Netherlands we have no or just little snow. So now I am in a hurry to finish and hopefully take it with me for some fun in the snow.

I have a adventurer 3 printer with a 150x150 build plate will are the parts fit on my build plate?
I think you need 200x200 for some big parts but maybe you can cut them in the slicer
This seriously is what I've dreamed about creating. Could you consider a opposite mixing with the rider lean and the turning of the skis if possible(then let go once tipped). When deeper snow riding I find turn away and lean in it gets the sled tipped to turn, then bring the skis back. It's looking like it wants to tip away already, could you use that to utilize the weight distribution. Very cool build. 3d printing certainly has made doing this much more possible from the 15 years ago I was wondering how to do this.
Hello! This would be possible to do but it would need a separate switch on the transmitter so it can lean the right way when not riding in the deep snow. It is a good idea an I will probably try it.
I have also thought about adding more weigh on the rider to make it lean more in the deep snow but maybe this would also make it more unstable and more likely to get stuck.
@@UppfinnarAXEL, yeah, ive wondered how many channels would be necessary. Is there any way to incorporate a gyro of some sort to help when not putting control to the rider, if it kept the rider moving to stabilize itself upright? I'm not huge on gyro knowledge but it's something I've thought of wanting to use if available to utilize.
@@mattlien2559 I have thought about putting a gyro on it too. I don’t know how much it will help because I think it would need to react really quick to actually work. I wonder if I need a gyro that could work on just the rider or both the steering and the rider?
@@UppfinnarAXEL, yeah that's a good question, if it's rider or steering. I guess it could depend what has more effect in getting the snowmobile more centered upright. I would maybe guess steering, the rider to move fast enough might no be able to do it.

So basically they have too much power. So much the skis cant stay down so it can't steer. More weight up front maybe?

Is this brushless? If so what cell capable esc?? Sensored?
This snowmobile has a hobbywing EZRUN MAX10 esc and 3652 motor combo (3300kv). It is not sensored, and a I use a 3s 2200mah battery.

snyggt! är väldigt sugen på att skriva ut en skeeride när jag skaffat en större skrivare. cool förare också ser ut att vara styrd med servon... vart fick du tag på den?
Jag rekommenderar verkligen att skriva ut en skeeride. Den lutande föraren går att skriva ut och finns att ladda ner i modsen på myminifactory. Jag var tvungen justera den lite då den inte passade så jättebra för min servo.
Servon som behövs har jag länkat till i videobeskrivnongen.

OK secondary idea. The dude on top needs to be weighted and have the ability to lean WAY off to each side while turning. Would be decently easy to pull off but it needs something to naturally counter balance it like a rider would. If you create something to scale, the physics stay the same and anyone who has ridden a snowmobile will tell you, you HAVE to lean into the corners at high speeds or in deep snow. That's what it is really missing to work properly.
