I bought a 2022 Lance 1172 I love so many things about it that soldi us. We love the couch. I found siting at the dinette was t too comfortable after a while. I love the outside graphics and interior. We put an extra TV in the bedroom. We opted for generator dual lithium batteries and dual solar panels. What I’m. Not happy about is my dealer and Lance themselves. Our surround in the shower cracked right across before we even used it. It obviously was t installed properly. Nothing but a hassle about it. Our fridge wouldn’t work at all. A propane line was pinched when slide opened. Our camper is at the dealer now finally got approved to get the shower replaced. We ve only used the camper once in a year. I love the new appliance upgrade. Our AC heats as well as cools. Not ready to trade yet. I’ll be picking a different dealer for sure. You do a very thorough walk through. Nice job.
I order a 975, lets hope I have better luck. I've own Lances for 20 years and always had good luck with them. No big fixes. I only bought two new and one of them was the one I just order.
That sucks, they should stand behind their work and have you as a customer for life. I will buy a Host Mammoth, I heard from multiple owners that Host is a great company to deal with. Thx for the info and I hope you get your rig fixed.
Awesome. I like it. Great job on showing this truck camper. Also if you take longer than 40 minutes to show a truck camper like this , fine by me and most everyone else too!
Need to be able to wash clothes. Offer a tray that holds 10 batteries to handle heavy loads (trailer workshops, welders, etc) Offer extendable wind turbines for night charging - and an audio warning to remind it's extended while packing the slide to move. A motion activated camera system all the way around would be nice. Offer a custom space so cats can have privacy and vent the area though a replaceable charcoal filter. If you want more ideas .... lol
I have seen a better informative and instructional video on the Lance 1172 pointing to all the feachers and the changes from previous and futures years. Good job.
If possible - when you do Trailers with slides - could you show it with the slides in. Especially with truck campers, there are going to be times that we stay in a Walmart parking lot and won’t be able to open the slide . I would love to see if it’s realistic to the bathroom and bed .
Don't worry sweetheart you always do a great job and you know it that's why you're still there thank you for all that you do and take all the time you need girlfriend
A 550/5500 is needed 19,500lb GVR. 450/4500 might handle slightly better vs a 1 ton dually but it’s still a pax vehicle GVR. You are only legal and safe when driving it off the dealer lot in a 1 ton dually, not when using it.
This camper is heavy but nice. I bought a 975 mated with a Dodge Quad cab, diesel dually, my payload sticker says I can haul 5280 pounds, so I'm ok but I know after 20 years of truck camper these things get heavy.
I love her walk 🚶♂️ through. It may take 40 minutes are longer. And that doesn't bother me. I would rather have take her time 🕑 and explain everything.
Good Lord! People on here "suspicious" about why you are selling? Because they have a dedicated camping channel Karen! Should they just keep reviewing nick nacks or upgrade for fresh content to keep us watching their channel grow? Easy answer. As always, yhank you two for your content! I'm glad you reviewed this trailer because I was not aware that the older 2015 1172 had the generator door on the back left corner. That's exactly where I want to install a second door ao that i can install my Firman 4kw dual fuel in that compartment! It exhausts out of the front ao the controls need to be drivers side and exhaust to the rear. Perfect and easy modification. FYI, the Firman WH03242 fits absolutely perfectly in that passanger side rear storage compartment with the drivers side door completely closed So that the only thing sticking out of the rear is the front of the generator for the exhaust. 97° in Houston Texas with that generator running and a temperature probe inserted inside the rear storage compartment never saw higher than 99 degrees in there with it running for 4 hours. Later on as the outside temperature started slowly dropping with the sun coming down so did the internal temperature. A CO detector inside the camper right above it netted no carbon monoxide alert.
You will need a 550 hands down Water weight and fuel/ everything else will put you closer to 6000 lbs and then you have to factor in human weight and fuel etc in truck. You need a payload of at least 7500 to truly be safe and enjoy yourself
I wish there was an option to delete the sink in the bathroom and put a full sized elongated toilet in there. The sink is pointless and robs half the room in the bathroom, there's already a sink and shower in the unit.
Do they make a camper that allows a trailer to be pulled behind it? I have an F350 and may prefer a camper like this instead of a toyhauler but I want to take my motorcycle. Thanks
@@PrincessCraft Thanks! I just ran across one on e trailer. This is so much better than the 39' fifth wheel I have now. A slide in is much better and I can tow a motorcycle or boat easily. Now I gotta sell a fifth wheel.
The back of the couch is way too short to lean back comfortably. Looks like the trim pieces are the vinyl covered wood look veneer that starts to peel off after awhile. Once again a cheap mattress and less than quality faucets are used. It’s too bad that the majority of rvs are built with mass produced cheap finishes that do not last. We have owned 3 campers and a big fifth wheel and the only one that was finished with real wood and still looks great was our 1991 Western Wilderness. Pease bring back craftsmanship.
I really don't like or care for how they are designing these newer campers. I just don't like my spoons and stuff being right at the bottom of the cabinets. They need to keep them where they are easy to grab while your cooking
That poorly sealed joint all around the outside gas port tells me a lot about lack of fit and finish! Go back and look for yourself "Lets Look Underneath" @ 28:10 all those seams are sealed like crap! Just begging for water, salt and dirt intrusion.
@@PrincessCraft you did a great job on this video... the time you spent was absolutely adequate. I suppose if someone is getting antsy, they can always skip ahead!

The best video of its kind I have seen. You did a very good job.
Great video, I really wanted to see the bunk dropped down though.
A washer/dryer would be great on this. Great walkthrough. Thank you.
Excellent presentation I love Lance. Can’t wait for the Tampa RV Show.

Please do a review of the Arctic Fox 1150, as a comparison to this model
It'll be more than 4800 likely 5300 buy the time you load it with options and your belongings

You're just the guy for a little DIY! (sorry for the low-hanging fruit rhyme.) Also, glad the video was helpful!
It's very nice how much this model coast
Truck camper 1172 could be improved by adding a patio and a washer/ dryer in the near future.

Water weight and fuel/ everything else will put you closer to 6000 lbs and then you have to factor in human weight and fuel etc in truck. You need a payload of at least 7500 to truly be safe and enjoy yourself
It’s a dry bath not a wet bath you forgot to mention the exterior lights turn yellow or white on the two sides
What size generator to run the AC AND the microwave/convection at the same time and is it an option?
Is it a macerator toilet. Would like to hear if some models include that…
How do you take the generator out?
Great question !
It's bolted to a frame mount. It easily removed.
WHAT ABOUT 30 AMP OR A 50 AMP PLUG
Is it available with zero graphics ???
If not, I would decline.

I know your walkthrough videos usually run long. But a video for a truck camper shouldn't be almost 40 minutes long.
