Mr Moynihan, thank you so much for hosting these talks with Father Murr. I converted under Pope Benedict and attended the Latin Mass at my parish until it was removed. It has broken my heart, so Father Muir’s ineffable cheerfulness has done so much to bolster my faith. I hope one day to be able to meet him, it would be such a privilege and honor.

That’s terrible that they removed your Latin Mass. Absolutely disgusting behavior by Francis and the hierarchy out of spite and malice for what’s good and holy.

This is the most wonderful interview! Many of us who have lived through the mid-20th Century until now have been scratching our heads, asking “What the heck happened?” This interview answers that question on a level that is rarely broached. Thank you. Please interview Fr. Murr again, as often as he’ll agree to it. He is a rare treasure!

This is an amazing piece of journalism. Ty both for sharing what we the laity know nothing about. It is enlightening to learn just how fragile our church has been due to the vultures that would destroy the bride of Christ and how strong mthose who love the church were and are! Our holy mother’s reques requests that we prayfor our priests certainly will see me putting real zest into my prayers

I've been angry with JPII after all I've been reading about him, that he did nothing but ignore all the evil prelates. Now Francis is packing it with more evil prelates. Its so unbelievable to me.

Same here. He appointed absolutely horrendous men to be bishops and cardinals, with of course some good ones. The one piece of solace I’ve had is learning that in Communist Poland the regime would make up horrible and unsavory rumors about good people who were enemies of the regime in order to character assassinate them. So maybe John Paul II thought any of the rumors swirling around many of the prelates were false and defamatory. But apparently James Grein told John Paul II directly to his face in private that McCarrick had abused him and yet he did nothing. So I honestly don’t know what to think.

@@jefffinkbonner9551. How cruel for him to ignore Jame Grein’s suffering such a dilemma crying out for help. Yet PopeJP II chose to ignore him. That’s unforgivable..

I love the Catholic church because it is the CHURCH that our Lord Jesus left on earth. Whatever Vatican does to hurt our Lord Jesus is up to them. As long as I have access to all the sacraments while I am alive I will be a Catholic until death because there is no Church that gives the complete Truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It only hurts when you go to church and you see church goers not giving utmost respect and reverence to the house of God.

If memory serves. JPII hurt his back before he became a priest.
I was told that after he was shot, he was given bad blood. His health was never good. 22:51

    Mr. Moyniham, with all respect:
I am sure that you can afford a more Actualized sound system.
When we become older, our voices tend to be heard more nasally.
If You add to that a system that sounds like 1930, the result is inferior.

Being a proud Polish-American and a follower of St. John Paul II, I'm bilingual, thanks to my parents' insistance on speaking Polish with me from earliest childhood, including prayers, Catholic and patriotic Polish hymns, and history, while my older siblings spoke English, I entered parochial school at age 5 completely bilingual. I'm beholden to my family for my lifetime love of both languages, cultures, and Catholic Faith. I studied the life of our Polish Pope in both languages, and I can add some details of his life taken from his biography writtten by Tadeusz Nowakowski who accompanied His Holiness on his travels. The injury to his spine was caused by a strike by a German truck while working in a quarry as a slave laborer. His Polish clergy friends were aware that the bullets which entered the Pope's body contained bacteria/viruses which would cause illnesses if he wasn't killed outright. The Polish word used was swinstwo. Cardinal Krol (Polish for King) wasn't the only source of help, the Cardinal responsible for the rapid rise of Karol Wojtyla in the Church was his mentor, Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski, Prelate of Poland. They were loving Brothers in Christ, outsmarting the Communist regime by playing "good guy, bad guy". The new church in the industrial section of Krakow was allowed by the regime, but minus a cross, however the two friends planned a clever resistance with Wojtyla playing his part as "the good guy" friendly and reasonable, and the cross was grudgingly allowed. The church was beautifully built by Polish crafstmen in the area called Nowa Huta.
Addendum: St. John Paul II's surname Wojtyla is typical of the Krakow area of Poland, surrounded by mountains populated by "Gorale", mountaineers, who, for centuries spoke the regional dialect, practiced their colorful culture. They are superb musicians, they have a special devotion to the Blessed Mother, and have built exquisite carved wooden churches in their area. Icons of St. John Paul II appear everywhere, as a beloved local saint, with hymns written in his honor, sung in four voices by the congregation.
It's worth noting that His Holiness was very close to the Eastern Rite (Byzantine) Church, visited Ukraine several times, and their churches in Canada, celebrating the Divine Liturgy, and toward the end of his life, invited their congregation to celebrate the Eastern Divine Liturgy in St. Peter's Basilica, with Roman clergy in attendance. Our Pope was the celebrant/presyder chanting in Ukrainian, and assisted by two Metropolitans, with the elderly Patriarch giving a heartfelt speech of thanksgiving. Memorable hymns were offered by a combined choir. A video is still avaliable on You Tube, and I invite lovers of Church music to watch this exquisite Holy Mass.

We are not about attacking the enemies of Christ headong but filled with prayer fath and love for them some if us will be required to defend our fath and families by firm resistance and resolve, be it kineticly or spiritually because that is also our duty. Some will offer themselves freely as martyrs, others will do likewise after physical resistance, resistance, and defense.

Major conversion ?? 🤔 I don't think so: he had been talking about problems in the Church since the 1950s: see The New Pagans (51:18)

Liberal ?? 🤔 He separated from Rahner because Rahner based himself on modern philosophy (Heidegger), while Ratzinger based himself on the Fathers: from his dissertation ! (Augustine). . . (50:20)

    • @robertbrown1883
      @robertbrown1883 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Ratzinger was also very interested in the theology of St Bonaventure, on which he centered his post doctoral work. That included dealing with the ideas of Joachim de Fiore, whose theology of history is often the base (at least, implicitly) of progressives. Joachim posited an age of the Father, then of the Son. What followed would be an Age of the Holy Spirit. Aside from the obvious Trinitarian problems, there is an absence of the definition found in the Fourth Gospel that the Holy Spirit is Spiritus Veritatis.

Another excellent review of recent history , which needs to be rearranged to fill the blanks, and tie the sequences together .
The question @106 is very easy to understand, if you tie the events starting in 1905,(the pre 1917 revolution), and especially 1913 ( the Jekyll island bankers creating the FED).
You confuse , as most do, Russia, & USSR.
The first was a Christian nation , much like the monarchy of 1789.
The other is an instrument to destroy Christian faith , in any shape or form.
Todays NEO CONS, are the real descendants of Trotsky.
When the Yeltsin era dawned, the Rothschild’s had put in place all the oligarchs ( all Jewish)
With the help of Ambassador Pickering, the real ruler , and coordinator of MI 6, And the Mossad, and all the militia that could protect these rubber barons.
That is why Putin , is hated, and calls for his assassinations are always in the news….yesterday it was patriarch Kyrill birthday, who faced Pope Jean Paul’s Political intrigues( dictated by the Club of Rome - Rockefeller’s, Carter, Kissinger, Brezhiniski)who who had created the arc of Islamic fundamentalists in Pakistan, Iran , Turkey , where the “ grey wolf” M A Agca , is a model!!!!!).
When the USSR , fell 25 million Russians lived outside of Russia, by force, and 100 million was killed by the Red Terror of Trotsky.
Associating Russia, with communism, did not pass De Gaulle’s scrutiny, when he referred to Russia, as the Historical entity , that will absorb communism like the felt absorbing the ink.
All the reserves of Russia were transferred to the USA , and its allies through “ Bank Safra” alias Republic National Bank, of NY.
And the Mossad who could protect the oligarchs who robbed Russian treasures, could not protect Safra, in his bunker , in Monte Carlo, when he cooperated with the FBI Investigations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When the assassinations attempts hit Reagan, And the Pope, the Vice President, had been rewarded for his role in the 1963 assassination of JFK , another score hit, added to the record of the
    Club.
One mistake , the late Pope John Paul II made,
Was to forgive Jews for the crucifixion of our Lord.
Firstly , Our Lord had done that , while on the cross.
His act, cannot be relevant , unless it is Superior, and that is heretical .
The next step, was the destruction of the Catholic Church, by celebrating mass in stadiums, while the churches were being sold , or converted to Islamic
Mosques encouraged by a wave of destroying Christian European , and American heritage.
One Lebanese Genius, Said Akl, concluded in 1976 ( during the war then ), Jews, and Muslims are united to destroy Christianity.
In the Holy lands, of Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria the Christian population is approaching existential threat.
