I enjoy your discussions more and more. I love your style of discussion. I read a comment complaining about interrupting but it’s your show. The worst for that is Jordan Peterson and I love listening to him. Good men are worth listening to😊.

It follows that he should have no guests, just interview himself. Let guest speak if you are going to invite others.

I have read Roy's book and have listened to several of his talks. They are very profound regarding the faith as THE ONLY way to God. The post Council talk of a 'previledge way....many paths, etc" are NONSENSE! Do the bishops have ears to hear and eyes to see?

St. Gregory of Nyssa: He writes about the typological significance of the Old Testament events in his work The Life of Moses. He sees the column of fire as a symbol of Christ, who leads and enlightens His people - Not only a figurative symbol, it was God literally and tangibly we find in the OT leading the Hebrews-

Roy is a pragmatist. He is deeply intellectual and approaches faith in that way. His experiences speak to a pragmatist, just as others who have more emotional experiences are drawn to Christ through those who speak to their more “emotional” experience. There are many different types of individuals and speak to those who are drawn by what they have experienced.

"SIGNS OF THE AGE" I agree with Dr. Schoeman's answer to Dr. Moynihan's question (about 54 minutes into this video, which I have transcribed, further below). I was reminded that author Malachi Martin (himself at onetime ordained/operating as a Jesuit priest) saw similar 'signs of the age' of the Church near fifty years ago; and to which Dr. Schoeman now answers upon (to Dr. Moynihan) in the video. These 'signs' and their predictable-trajectory (a projectory as seen back in 1990, by Malachi Martin) of the ongoing-modernist papal-track seen along with many yet alive and who continue to observe such (first along with Martin and ongoing - since Martin's death), are addressed in Martin's 1990 book "The Keys of This Blood".
From the book's Chapter 35, "The Triple Weakness", Martin states (an excerpt): "On the level of papacy and papal ministerial organization, we find elements that foment, protect and give free rein to the aberrant “spirit of Vatican II” rife on the parish and diocese levels. We find that two popes, Paul VI and John Paul II, did not exercise their supreme teaching privilege and authority in order to prevent the birth of the “spirit of Vatican II”; or, once it started to flourish, refused to take the bull by the horns in the one way they and only they could do. For quite a long time now, Roman Catholics have needed a statement issuing from the personal power and privilege of the Pope, from his ex cathedra infallibility, once and for all and without ambiguity telling all Catholics and all Christians and, for that matter, the entire world which of the two “Churches” is the orthodox one, which represents the Roman Catholic Church, the one and true Church vindicated by so many popes and so many martyrs and so many saints." (end Chapter 35 excerpt)
Of course, "a statement issuing from the personal power and privilege of the Pope, from his ex cathedra infallibility, once and for all and without ambiguity telling all Catholics and all Christians and, for that matter, the entire world which of the two “Churches” is the orthodox one" has been avoided and clouded by Francis doing the near opposite, and instead doing what many know: as Dr. Schoeman stated, instead (Francis) 'the pope and the hierarchy of the Church officially taught against what had always until then had been Church teaching'.
    The excerpt transcription:
@54:05 Dr. Moynihan: “What signs do you see that, restate again, why do you believe we are in the last age of the Church? I guess we could, we could also call that the last age of the world.” (ends at 54 min. and 21 seconds)
Dr. Roy Schoeman begins his response (at 54 min. and 22 seconds): “I would say to those imaginary interlocutors, who say ‘well people thought this way in the French Revolution, too' - and stuff, which they did of course - I would say: 'Please show me a time in the past when the Church, when the pope and the hierarchy of the Church officially taught against what had always until then had been Church teaching'; and if you can convince me that the current relationship to dogma is not unprecedented, I will go back on what I say/said.” (ends at 54 min. and 56 seconds)

Would have been a better interview if Dr Schoeman could have been allowed to speak a complete thought before being interrupted, especially with the questions and comments from those on-line. Don't really understand why we needed a translation "what you are saying here" - we could hear the guest just fine. Still, thank you for the opportunity to learn about Dr Schoeman's story.

The problem is that we’re used to a different form of interviewing, like what John-Henry Westen does, which is that he asks questions, then removes himself and stays out of the way while his guest responds. Dr. Moynihan can’t let his guest be more important or more knowledgeable than he is; he has to insert himself all the time. As an audience we are not accustomed to this, and personally I find him a bit pedantic. I too want to hear the guest.

Roy is so deep, knowledgeable, and humble. Unfortunately, the interviewer did not get best out of the opportunity. Too much interrupting and he does this to just about every guest particularly the better ones. He gets nervous and starts name dropping and takes tons of time going on long bloviating monologues. I bet interviewer spoke way more than 50% of time. Also disrupts the guest direction of thought with unrelated tangents. Interviewer should do an interview of himself, make it a 3 hour special I suppose since he loves the sound of his own voice.
