@@xavierrenegade Both are impressive, as both are quite long, and have a lot of cinematic scenes. DK94 has some unique things though like death animations, and such.
I like how this is more of a Super Game Boy ad compilation than a DK94 one. I get it was a selling point but did they think people wouldn’t be interested in a DK remake without it?
Japan commercials: Hooray! You and your friends can now play Game Boy games in color on your Super Famicom with the Super Game Boy! Isn't that exciting? U.S. commercials: HEY DUDE THE SUPER GAME BOY IS EXTREME AND INTENSE! FEEL THE EDGY JOKES AND DEADPAN NARRATORS! DON'T THESE HAPPY-GO-LUCKY CARTOON CHARACTERS SCREAM "EXTREME" TO YOU?
Now, based on Donkey Kong's design here, recreate the 'Super Mario Bros." style designs for Diddi, Cranky, Funky and Candy. Then try the other DKC characters...

I'd consider this to be the best GameBoy game. It surely did take advantage of the systems limits.
I would put this on my Top Tier list of Gameboy/Gameboy Color games next to the Oracle Games
Link's Awakening clears it pretty easily.

I miss commercials like this
This is probably my favorite Game Boy game. Hope it goes on NSO sooner rather than later
Agreed, but with Super Game Boy enhancement emulation.

Ah yes the reboot of the short franchise ever since they parted ways, the one true reboot before Mario VS DK on Gba.
It Mario vs. Donkey Kong Zero!
This was the ultimate masterpiece when it comes to GameBoy….
A reimagined masterpiece that introduced everybody to both Donkey Kong and Mario….
I agree!
0:58 Donkey Kong™ Is The Animal!
I didn't know Cranky in this game had that tie before his grandson in DKC did, hilarious XD lol.
One of my favorite Gameboy games! It took me a long time to complete it, but I persisted and made it to the end.
That's mine too...
3:12 Mario literally T-Posing out of a game boy
The japanese pronounciation for Game Boy sounds more like Gam-uh Boy, i don't know why.

It was the 90s. Everything had to be “extreme” to sell a lot of things to American kids back then.
@@victorhernandez8723 IS IT EXTREME FOR YOU (:< ? lol
2:41 Pauline is not a princess 🤨
They messed up
Especially in that ad the game is called "Save the lady from Donkey Kong" it's in the freaking title, also beta footage at 2:28
True but imo I think she and DK the 3rd's GF Candy are the way better princesses than Peach,Daisy, and Rosalina combined tho' XD lol.
"And now some dancing." 😂

Happy 30th anniversary to the Gameboy Donkey Kong game!
0:58 That's The Animal!!!
This game is how we got the design for Pauline today. Please Nintendo remake this game eventually

I love how there is a prototype version on one of these ads lol
Which one?

@@joysticks105 thanks
I love this games
0:57 is that a doom sound effect?
Was that one Super Game Boy ad Hank Azaria?
I think so. It sounds a lot like "Super Nintendo" Chalmers.
1:42 I think the super game boy killed him. He not breathing.

I love Donkey Kong (Game Boy)
Let’s hope they bring this game on NSO online.
0:58 Why is there Animal instead?
0:58 🤣

Western countries really tried to make Donkey Kong scary. It's not right.
Wario was right though: Wario Land is cooler.
Not scary. Just not one you want to cross.

Why isn’t this on Nintendo Switch Online yet?
They recently announced GB, GBC and GBA titles are now on Switch Online. Makes me wonder how they're gonna handle this one.
Will Super Game Boy mode be supported, that is, if the Switch is able to handle it?
They would probably use the Super GameBoy version.
This game is the best game on the game boy
I love how this take the original arcade game and made it into a really fun platformer,is't amazing
Alright son, point the animal that did this to you.
