What are you using for fuel delivery?
My factory carb died about the same time my engine lost compression. I went with the myfi kit from zor on my rebuild. It has pro's and cons, but I have always wondered about better options. Samis are so niche that there's limited options for someone like me with limited knowledge.

I’m running a Holley Sniper 2gc small bore EFI. it’s not a bolt on but it’s not too hard to set up. I’ll do a video on it soon.

i am quite sure only the fronts do the stopping work on mine even with the drums adjusted tight haha rear disk looks fantastic! Are you running leaf spring bushings at the frame end on your links? cheers

Nice set-up. What brakes are you running at the front? Also did you add a proportioning valve for the rear brakes? Im definitely interested on some Samurai parts

Front brakes are stock for now. I will most likely have to add an adjustable proportional valve, haven’t yet.

Talking about 'stuff is hard to find' where would you buy the 1.6 8v heads? In Australia the 1.3 8v are non-existent as too the 1.6 8v

Here in the US they are around but getting harder and harder to find. Plus they all seem to be run into the ground. I bought 3 complete engines to have enough parts to rebuild one engine.

How can I purchase this rear caliper bracket? Have you, or could you design and build a bracket to run the same brake set up on the front?

Eventually I want to do the same brakes up front as well.

Is their a reason you're not useing a 1.6 motor/block now that your moving away from king of hammer events. I highly doubt any one would have noticed in the first place.

In my class I can run any engine. My 1.3 was brand new when I built this Sammy so I stuck with it. Plus my goal the whole time was to see how far a could push a Sammy while keeping it all Sammy parts.

So now that you're using a non Sammy 1.6 8v head, custom intake, custom exhaust/turbo, custom fuel system but not the 1.6 block to keep it mostly Sammy is sorta lost. But either way great build.

I’m not ready to sell this bracket yet. I’m still testing it. And it is very specific to these brake parts. I haven’t had the samurai out enough to know if this combo of parts is a good fit for the samurai. I will announce when I’ve decided to release them. So far the rear brakes are working good and are much more powerful than the drums.
