Very cool, I got to get in to 3d printing, it would actually save me money on accessories. And bodies, so cool. Especially since like in the 1/6 scale stuff not to much available. My grandson printed me 1/6 gas cans. You were pretty nervous buddy 🙏☮️✝️😃 You'll get it fixed
The actual printing process isn't that fun, but it is indeed cool to make a plane out of almost nothing. Hats off to the guys who design these, I'm already hooked on building them, hope I can make them fly as well 😀 I know it's my fault, I've seen others fly them without any problem.
Flown one of these today, version without the landing gear, printed in tough PLA with ABS for the motor mount, apart from being a bit nose-heavy, it flew okay and landing was less than graceful but no real damage, just a bit of glue separation and a tiny separation of the layers near to the glue joint on the nose section, nothing a bit of CA couldn't fix 😁
It flies nice but fixing it after every flight is not encouraging. The next flight it self distructed unfortunately. I might try printing again but with a bit of reinforcement on the front.
information the use of full strip ailerons is not recommended. 3:37 when the model is level, (the mass of) the main landing gear should be below the wing leading edge.!!! this mistake affects the model's Ability to take off, during a rolling take-off; and, it adversely affects the model's distribution of mass (dom). d
If you want to try printing this airplane you can download it free here www.eclipson-airplanes.com/modela

Yeah, I want to try some car bodies next. Definitely get one, so many things you can do with one.
Very good initiative, based on experimenting, achievements are obtained.👏👏👏💪💪
Thanks! Already printed the new version, hope to fly it soon.
Printing looks like a lot of FUN!

Thanks for the advice! I'm reprinting and will be trying it without the landing gear, hope it will go a lot better.
Where did you find the P51?
Eclipson has it
Kinda fragile!😢
Yeah. It is, but it's going well printing the replacement. Thanks for watching!
