So there’s no parking sensors, predictive parking assist or 360-degree camera. Why Mazda would not include such features in even the highest trim is beyond me
Interesting, since the whole reason I went with the CX-70 instead was to avoid the 1-spd. eCVT & eAWD systems from Toyota in favor of the in-house designed Mazda 8-speed A/T & the rear-biased AWD system, along with a longitudinally mounted, plug-in hybrid EV powertrain (combining 189hp 2.5L gas engine with a 68kW electric motor making 173hp). Toyota’s system is designed for maximum efficiency at low cost, whereas Mazda’s in-house one is maximum innovation at a still-reasonable cost. I favor best performance over cheapest.
Not true anymore. Toyota “went woke” about a year ago and to nobody’s surprise their quality has taken a massive hit. Their legendarily reliable pick ups are having so many exploding engines that they can’t sell them. Tacoma drivetrains were breaking in the middle of early reviews. Just a year ago they had to recall like four different vehicles for tires popping off while driving. The age of quality is over. We’re now in the age of being gaslit into liking what we’re given instead of getting what we really want
did they fix the useless wireless charger for current phones? I was never able to use the wireless charging in my 2023 version since the charger doesn't take into account the camera bumps that phones have.
I test drove a cx50 when I was shopping for a new car over the summer. The cx50 handily had the least comfortable seats and I drove practically every CUV in the segment…
I've had a CX-50 for about a year and a half, with the Terracotta leather. I can tell you that the seats have a bit of a break-in period. While they're still not exactly cushy, after about six months they became significantly softer and much more comfortable. Also, definitely take time to adjust the lumbar -it makes a huge difference.
I just wish there was a base Select trim. The power lift gate with the preferred trim is a deal breaker for me. The high starting MSRP also makes the gas savings from the hybrid pointless. A hybrid CX-30 would be nice too.
I'm liking this new Mazda. Love the color combo too. If it drives as sporty as it looks (or like a CX-5 or a CX-50) - I would give this serious consideration to replace my 22 MDX Advance. I don't really need a 3 ROW SUV< although I truly enjoy the MDX in every way Except the MPGs. and the Terrible Touch Pad InfoT. system - downright awful. I will be wrestling either buying my MDX for $35,400 by Feb 2025, or lease another vehicle. Truth Be Told, if Acura put the new touch screen in the 25 RDX like the new 25 MDX - that would have steered me in that direction for serious consideration. But, This Mazda is $10K Less fully loaded - which is the way I would go Premium Plus.
why does it only get 10mpg more than just a regular non turbo model. you pay 10000 dollars more for it, seems like it should get at least 60 mpg. what is the battery range? before its starts recharging itself? I drove a ford fusion hybrid and that gets like 60 mpg average because most of the trips are under 25 miles and it runs on the battery for that time
Are you retarded? This is using the toyota battery system, and the rav4 hybrid does not even get 60 mpg. No one drives a ford fusion because its unreliable. Thats why they stopped making it.
Cost about 4k more for a base hybrid. You get more horse power and range in an extremely reliable package. The 10 more mpg kinda seals the deal I don’t see why you would be so distraught about the price. The ford hybrids are known for being unreliable and for a plug in hybrid its going to be way more expensive anyway.
I give my 2024 Mazda CX50 turbo a 7.5 put of 10. The fit and finish isnt great and as a life long Mazda fan because of their quality, its become clear that Mazda has cut corners and the quality isnt what it was 12 years ago when i bought my last one. Oh and i would NEVER buy a Hybrid
I guess you have never driven a car with e-cvt. I drive a ford Kuga PHEV with e-cvt and the gear is so smooth and quiet. One hears the engine sound only under hard acceleration, just like on cars not using e-cvt.
The toyota E cvt is basically bullet proof. That's why they give you such a long high mileage warranty on the battery and E cvt because they don't have any problems with them.
Thank you. Been searching a long time for a decent video on the hybrid.
Just arriving at dealerships now, you'll start seeing a plethora in the coming weeks
So you’re telling me this is the perfect car
All that safety, but no parking sensors.
I know, hard to believe.
And way overpriced
Thank god for it too. Most annoying thing about new vehicles and not at all helpful if you’re a competent driver
Your park by sensor is your brain. Use it and save some money
@barneyboyle6933 Sure. Anything else?
So there’s no parking sensors, predictive parking assist or 360-degree camera. Why Mazda would not include such features in even the highest trim is beyond me
Toyota system. You know it's going to be good.

Has Mazda softened the seat cushions ….. found the other cx50 seats a little firm ….. great video 👍
torture on long ride

Exact same seat as gas cx50
Is the seat material equivalent to softex?
Does it have a spare tire in the back still?
It does have a spare tire
@@yarchiedukethe Mazda sales guy here did not show it. Kinda important for most buyers. No mention of power specs. Unsubscribing.
What's the performance like on these? Horsepower? Torque? 0-60?
Buy sports car
Does it have parking sensors ?
You forget how park without sensors
Bro that's Toyota Engine

There is always gas savings and fewer emissions with hybrids.
2:23 It became a touch screen finally!

Is it a full hybrid or a mild hybrid?
The same hybrid power train as Toyota Rav4

@@ironbeagle1011 seriously, i dont know why he decided to bring in a ford fusion into this conversation LOL. Ford fusion is the opposite of reliable.
I feel like in three to five years that stiching running down the center of the seats is going to break and unravel...
There is no brown interior option for the U.S. version smh -_-
Ventilated seats😮
no heated steering wheel was a total miss
How does it not have a heated steering wheel. That’s crazy dumb Off my list cause of that.
😂
😮 e-CVT on Mazda. Must be Toyota hybrid/cvt system paired to engine.

God I wish they would color those huge plastic wheel well things. they make car look so ugly
Too wide and tight back seat. Strong pass on the CX-50.
Nah.... pass on the CVT transmission.
Cvt transmission. First time I've decided no to mazda.
E cvt from Toyota with planetary gears that been around for over a decade , do your research, it’s not Nissan jatco trash

It's a Toyota engine
