He was overshadowed by Reggie Bush in college but he had some spectacular performances for UCLA. Not only as a tailback but returning kicks as well. Not many people would've thought Maurice Drew would end up having the better career of the 2.
Agreed. And it’s really not even close. Reggie had some good years where he put up some nice numbers. But nowhere near the expectation of who people thought he was going to be. MJD was a beast. Easily the better and more dominant player.
I was a UCLA fan back then and used to go to the Rose Bowl. It was so fun watching opposing fans and National broadcasters talk about the undersized RB, then watch the genuine shock as he’d go for 200 total yds and multiple TD’s. But yeah those SC Carroll teams were a supernova and no one really cared about the 6-win team across the street.
I loved the running back duels that took place between MJD and Chris Johnson when they played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. Those guys were always one upping each other with spectacular rushing performances.
TIL THIS DAY😂😂😂MY FIRST JERSEY AS A CHILD WAS TURQUOISE WITH THE NUMBER 28 and my second was a white one with 32. Made my dad and my 5’7 175 pound ass tell my pop Warner coaches to put the ball in my hands and watch us win! Miss the field man
He was a second round pick....someone picked him. So in reality, only 31 teams passed on him even though Jacksonville technically did at least once, they still picked him
@@curriy pointless comeback. It’s a simple correction. I didn’t miss a joke or anything or correct a spelling error. What I said makes legitimate sense
Wow, I forgot the colts passed Jones-Drew. Can imagine a prime Jones-Drew lined up with Manning, Harrison, Wayne, and Dallas Clark. Even though Maurice ended up being one of the best players from that draft class. No way he thought he was going number 1 or top ten in that hyped up draft class, lol
I'm a Colts fan, I liked MJD, but I think he was a better fit for the Jags. The Colts were way too pass happy though I think he would've been happy to get a Super Bowl ring. I just don't think he would've got the recognition at Indy that he got in Jacksonville. I still have mad respect for him. He made the Jags dangerous to play against despite their records most of the time.
I like him.. he was a really good running back.. but as a analysts he sucks🤣 when nfl analysts or any sport say shit that they know isn't true but they say it 4 clout or juice to me thats wack...

Marshawn lynch was during his era also
One of the most underrated rbs in the 2000s
He was a great tailback back in the mid to late 2000s
Thanks captain obvious
Pro trick : you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Arjun Nickolas Definitely, I've been watching on flixzone for years myself :D
Early 10$
How about while he played...aka until 2015
This man is my football coach
I loved the running back duels that took place between MJD and Chris Johnson when they played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. Those guys were always one upping each other with spectacular rushing performances.
Human wrecking ball of DUVALL
MJD was a human bowling ball on the field
Damn right
It feels like my jags are finally getting recognition
Underrated
Legend. MJD and Fred Taylor are my all time favorites made me a fan of Jacksonville

This man was a beast. Got the pleasure to watch him live as a student. He carried the bruins.
I still remember his block on Shawne Merriman
He was a great back and fun 2 watch, I love the reason he wore #32, hes a bad ass!!
His block against Shawne Merriman is the greatest RB block Ive ever seen.
I was just about to say that lol
One of my favorite rbs growing up mjd🔥
Can’t wait to see you guys do his highlights
Always a legend for that hit on meriman
One thing people never mention is MJD ran a 4.39
40 yard dash. That's flippin fast.
"Wore the number 32 for the 32 teams that pass me up." Thats some real shit!
Such a phenomenal player
My favorite rb of all time, reason why I became a jags fan! Duuuuuuuvaaaaaaaaallllll
Wowww, that’s why he wore 32. You know what? I want to represent a number one day that motivates me & represents my journey.
He was a second round pick....someone picked him. So in reality, only 31 teams passed on him even though Jacksonville technically did at least once, they still picked him
You must be fun at parties

He had the nose for the endzone - he was like a bumper car that always bumped to the front
- fun player to watch!
MJD!!! Im a saints fan but I always cheered for him as a kid. I remember always trying to trade for him when I played madden franchise or career mode
damn we really could've had MJD over lawrence maroney? 😳
he was a beast in madden too
MJD, Oakland's proud
one of the few picks the jaguars got right in the past 20 years
Imagine seeing the coaches faces when they faced the jags and he ran all over their defense 😭
Imagine if the pats decided to draft MJD, history would be changed.
Pocket Hercules he was a monster

His head is built like Juggernaut
POCKET HERCULES!
I mfn agree
Should have been drafted number 1 overall no damn doubt about.
That was a good draft class
🐐
One of my favorites while he played, hes a bully out there
Fuck NE Maroney over MJD ? Daaamn
Steelers made the right pick when they chose Holmes, he caught the game winning TD in superbowl XLIII
Wtf my Patriots were torn between him and Laurence Maroney?
MJD!
I love fred taylor but he was better than fred imo
he was a little overconfident
Hello
31*
Yo he needs to start passing on some buffets the way those 32 teams passed on him
Does NFL Throwback Fist Bump? 👊
Shows you why the combine is way overrated
They were smart to pass on him...stayed hurt half the time
WRONG!!!
This is getting a dislike because of how much violin there is in the first 20 seconds it made me want to stop watching
😂😂
Now he is a bad ass unlike LeaShannon
Already retired
I like him.. he was a really good running back.. but as a analysts he sucks🤣 when nfl analysts or any sport say shit that they know isn't true but they say it 4 clout or juice to me thats wack...
Nfl
Drafts
Damn good running back, shit score predictor.
