BMW iX: BMWs brave new electric SUV

The arrival of the 2022 BMW iX has not gone unnoticed on the internet. Its exterior styling has certainly divided opinion, but as BMW's flagship electric car it has a hugely important role to play.
In this CarGurus UK review, Vicky Parrott tests the iX xDrive40, prices for which start from just over £75,000. With a range of up to 257 miles for this version of the iX (and 380 miles for the range-topping, £115,000 xDrive 50), range anxiety shouldn't be a problem for most drivers. It can get from 0-62mph in a brisk 6.1 seconds (4.6 seconds for the xDrive 50), and features a beautifully crafted interior, but does the iX xDrive40 also deliver all the space, luxury, comfort and handling prowess that buyers of big BMW SUVs will expect?
