She is an all around gymnast , and she had the ability to medal if she had the chance , but its like she was forced to be a specialist i dont know why , the couldve used her alot more in team finals
Kevin Salim Well she never proved to be better than others in AA (the scores and results prove it), she was better at vault and that's why she was considered for that, even if she lost her biggest chance at the Olympics with that silver medal.
@@madison2074 I don't know but I feel like she was coached into being an event gymnast they didn't focus enough on her potentials in other areas thus she didn't live up to her full potential.
jessie_ chin thats exactly what i meant by forced, i know she didnt show she was better but i think if she worked on the other events like she does on vault she couldve upgraded her skills, its obvious she has what it takes
She fracture her ankle on a beam dismount in training camp right before the Olympics, so I believe that's why she was only used on Vault. I think she def would've been on floor at least, otherwise.
Unfortunately on the 2012 team there was no scenario she did bars or beam, even in prelims. Although she might be better on bars than Raisman, Marta was always going to have a 3rd AAer in prelims and keep Raisman on bars.
McKayla reminds me of the Typical Soviet Gymnast. Beautiful and Stunning to watch. Diffcult movements. Yet inconsistent. She didnt have a fall here but she always look like shes about to wobble
Outstanding work by that young lady. I'm so unhappy, seeing these old videos, to realize these girls were being abused by that Darth Vader maniac, Dr. Mengele. It is remarkable that they have all recovered to the degree that they have. I hope that the big settlement will in some way help them going forward.
It’s amazing how a vault specialist had such grace and artistry in beam and floor.
I agree she could’ve been an amazing all-arounder !
And the uneven bars! She had such gorgeous lines
@@eurekamreum5458 not to mention how high her releases were.
Very much so. Shes great on floor as well.
She has a LOT of potential on this event!

she had the potential for greatness but she wasnt consistent enough on beam or bars. She had the skills, but again consistency.

She has this grace and elegant artistic value like Nastia. Her floor routine is also enjoyable to watch
Wait she is soooo good I wish she was an all around gymnast she could have been so amazing
I wish she competed in the AA in London!
Such an all-rounder!!!! I miss her
The fact that this is from 9 years ago. Time goes by so fast
I love her! I’m so sad for her that she lost her love for this sport bc of LN abuse. She looks like such a spunky fun girl.
A very elegant gymnast!❤️❤️❤️
I wished her coach focus on her weaknesses bcs she could have so much potential to be a great all-around gymnast.
Looks like she missed two planned connections in this routine. So the maximum difficulty could be 6.0.
what beam routine at the olympics? She didn't do one...
Her vault is ctazy good!!!!
I dont think aeh's nastia's sucessor... Sounds me more like Shawn's sucessor... Its funny to se shawn at the back practicing hahahahaha i love her.
She didn't even touched the beam at the Olympics lol
yes in training and then broke her foot
Incredible 👏👏
she also broke her foot at the olympics and she had to vault on it, so she wasn't at her best to do the other events if she wanted.

it could also be that she doesn't get much points for connections
she always does the same routine for beam or something so simalar like she switched one move but her beam is pretty much always the same
Her Difficulty Level is 5.7 so it's kind of low

Superhuman.
oh i never see her on beam only on vault ijbol
Nastia's successor.:-)
Flexibility is key
She would’ve been a great college gymnast
Non stop difficulty
