- In this video, I take a deep dive into using shutter speed for night street photography. I ask the question what is the best shutter speed for night street photography, and I look into how Auto ISO is the game changer in terms of using not only shutter speed but also ISO, to help you shoot your street photos faster and more efficiently at night time.

I just discovered your channel today. I subscribed immediately after the first video about the Ricoh GRIII. Your content about the Ricohs is brilliant. I look forward to more GRIII/X videos. You don't have enough subscribers. Hope that changes in the future. Keep it up. 👍
Thank you very much for subscribing and for your positive feedback.
I really appreciate it. 👍
Great info Joe and the background music is awesome!!
Thank you very much, Barry 🙏
Thank you very much Joe, for all of the content you put together...It's so helpful, informative and brilliantly produced....
Thank you very much for the great feedback. I really appreciate it. Have a great week.👍
Please 🙏 make a bunch of teaching videos like this. The slow way you talk and methodical way you explain everything is perfection. There were only a couple things you glossed over explaining when you launched right into ISO without providing the background of what it even is, like you did with shutter speed, but fortunately I have studied this for so long, some of that is already sinking in , so I was able to follow along with you and learned additional things from you that I had been taught in past but was never able to truly visualize the entire concept until you explained it. I don’t shoot with that camera, but everything you said applies to the settings in my camera, so it was very helpful. I hope you will make a video about intentional camera movement. thank you. New sub.
Thank you very much for the positive feedback. I will certainly take extra care of the technical details in future, thanks to you. It’s really important to have constructive criticism like yours. Much appreciated, and thanks for the sub. Have a great week.
I like the way you talk mate… make more videos please.
Thank you 🙏
Excellent advice Joe.Reinforces my own experience.Thank you.
Very welcome. Thank you for your positive feedback 🙏
@ 5:00 -most excellent point.
Thank you. At night you don’t see that level of sharpness that you do in the daytime. I just don’t think it’s necessary. I appreciate the comment 👍
To your original point its not always about technical “perfection” and I appreciate the reminder
Great video Joe, you covered this topic really well, I like the fresh approach and your clear explanations. Subscribed. Keep up the good work as you have a calm steady approach which a lot of us will find really helpful.👍🇦🇺🇬🇧🙏
Thank you very much for your positive feedback and also for the sub. I really appreciate it. Have a great day 👍

Thank you for your feedback 👍
Great piece. Keep it going. Thanks
Thank you for your feedback.
nice~!
Thanks! 😄
You have some amazing Ricoh content
Thank you very much 👍
A rule of thumb is to have your shutter speed = 1/focal length and multiply it by 2 to be on the safe side. Hence for the Ricoh GRx minimum of 1/120 should give you sharp photos. The focal length for the GRx is 40mm and to factor the crop factor then 40mm becomes 60mm. Thus 1/120 comes into picture. Try it and let me know.
That does work. However, there is not complete sharpness at 1/20 seconds.
@@joeredski it’s not 1/20, it’s 1/120
@mahdiali6732 Sorry about that. My mistake. You are right. 1/120 definitely gives you sharp images. Thank you.
Super low volume
Ok next time. I appreciate the feedback.
