@devtuber6507 the battery life is okay, if you use it lightly you can get 8-9 hours, but you can also drain it in 2 with heavy use, definitely not one of the strong sides of the laptop, otherwise it's great, oled screen with 120hz looks awesome, a lot of performance for the size and price, overall I'd say you won't be disappointed unless you really need great battery life
Asus vivobook S16 has a serius problem of getting hang with external usb ssd. I plug the same ext ssd in 2 other different laptops running latest Windows 11, no issue. Even run chkdsk on the ext ssd shows no issue. Even updating the Asus bios did nothing to prevent the ssd from getting hung after 1-2 mins of plugging in.
So officially they're claiming up to 14 hours, and you're getting 8 hours on BATTERY SAVING MODE, and your verdict is IT'S PRETTY DECENT? Please make that make sense to me.
You can never trust manufacturer's claim as they either use synthetic benchmarks or just do video playback to get that number. For our tests, we don't just sit there using 8 hours straight but rather we measure it by sessions in a day, hence getting a total of 8 hours on actual real world productivity usage.
Bro you need to see if the softwares you are running are ARM based which is for snapdragon chipsets. You were probably running 86x based softwares. They are not equipped for Snapdragon chips. But if you run ARM based softwares you will get wayy more efficient and smoother experience with Snapdragon powered computers. Im guessing you got Vivo S15 Snapdragon.
Most of new series of ExpertBooks, StudioBooks/proArt are alu/magnesium so fully metal built whereas Vivo and gaming series such as Strix and Strix SCAR are made of mainly plastic but usually have aluminium only on the screen
@@ferrapesi lenovo, dell, hp. At least they will not blame you for warranty voided of nonsense (hairline scratch) instead deal & solve faulty hardware parts.
Depends by the country. In my country ASUS has the best support overall. So yeah I don't know what is happening in US/Canada, but ASUS is not present only there.
Will you be reviewing the new AMD Ai 370 variant. It will have 32GB ram and obviously the new AMD strix point chip which is also in the zenbook S 16. I'd rather get the vivobook as it'll probably significantly cheaper and you get the same chip I imagine at a similar wattage, maybe even better as it isn't as thin as the 1.1cm zenbook.
I just ordered the HX 370 version with 32GB/2TB, that thing should be a beast for its dimensions
from where did u get it?
zenbook S16 with AMD latest processor, right?
@suhardiliao6284 nope, the zenbook was almost 1k euro more expensive for the same specs, I got the vivobook with the latest ryzen 9
@@balthasarking8570 how is it? what's the battery like? im thinking of getting the the one with the ryzen ai 9 365

Love the default wallpaper of your VIvobook. I hope you could share it bro. :)

Check your power settings. Whether USB devices are set to turn off to save battery life. I hope this helps.
How is the keyboard compared to ZenBook?

@@klgadgettv So does it even last 8 hours straight?
Any idea when the new S15 oled with Snapdragon Elite coming to Malaysia?
Very soon I hope.
it's launched today, priced at RM6,299
careful what you wish for, currently quite alot programs dont work, due to the arm support is not matured in the market yet
I just bought one of these computers and it is garbage and has a hard time running any editing software. I will be returning it to Amazon.
Which editing software? The processor should run any program at ease for light editing. For content creators this aint the laptop

Asus vivobook s16 oled M5606UA ryzen 7 8845hs vs Acer Swift GO 14 SFG14 ultra 7 155h. Which one should I buy between two of them I am confused?
I will go with Ryzen 7.😁
asus better for me
Ultra 7 slight better battery life, but performance wise, 8845hs is slight better then ultra 7
Is this all metal or does it have plastic on it?

Please don't buy anything from asus. Their quality is getting worse.
