I use Elvive since ages ago, especially the ones that are designed for oily hair, which I have. There was a time though that my hair was super dry, frizzy and lifeless while using elvive clay but then I made sure to actually leave conditioner in my hair for a while in the shower to make it up for oil stripping and my hair has been doing just fine. I still use Elvive Clay to this day.

@@Anne-sm4tp if you have oily hair like mine, I highly recommend Elvive clay (not sure about the dandruff stuff since I don't have) however you need to also use conditioner after shampooing, or preferably a hydrating hair mask (my pick is elvive hyaluronic acid mask, I know, I'm cheap lol) since the shampoo removes EVERYTHING, like that's how much it cleans off your hair, to the point that your hair is super dry right after you shampoo it, but once you're careful about using conditioner or hair mask right after (and leave it for about 10 minutes) you should be fine. My hair ends are also naturally on the frizzy and dry side so I also use virgin olive oil on them before shower to avoid being tangling.
Hope that helps, I don't know much about dandruff sadly (I think Manes by Mell, who's a hairstylist, talks about how to take care of dandruff and scalp) but I hope you get to a path of healthier hair :)

Great experiment. I never realized how much water market shampoos have. So at the end you will consume more, because you need more shampoo since it contains so much water. Kerastase looks like gel consistance and you put way less for a wash, so you won't need to buy so frequent

I’m vegan and I really didn’t want to use a brand that allows animals testing when they sell to china… but my hair was destroyed from “organic shampoo and conditioners” that I needed to use a professional “regular” brand to get my hair back in shape (cuz the hair was affecting my mental health, natural shampoo makes you look DIRTY even if you just showered, and dries your hair out).
You’re the reason why I tried Kerastase. The second I felt that shampoo MELTING into my hair and my hair getting supple, I was like, yeah I’m never going back to organic hair care.
I also purchased olaplex and it’s a ten. I have yet to try them. I have a feeling Kerastase is gonna be my go to tho. I used a 20% coupon. There was a sale. I’m gonna just look for sales and stock up to save a bit of 💳.
    Thanks boo.

As someone with very dry hair and oily roots, and USED to have hairloss due to itchy irritated scalp that frequently breakout with pimples (gross!), i count kerastase as my saviour 😂😂.
Not too long ago, I was quite desperate and was ready to invest in kerastase but didn't know where to start, then i found Mike's channel. The most notable videos are "top 5 shampoos by Kerastase" and another video on the Nutritive range.
Looong story short, i figured out a combination of these products to keep my whole head in perfect balance. Currently, i am rotating 3 shampoos, 1 mask and 1 hair oil by Kerastase. One of the shampoo is bain divalent, it's a must have to refresh oily roots and scalp once every few days. Along the way, i did try Chronologiste and it wasn't doing anything for me, however, i do like the parfum oil (it has argan oil as 1 of the ingredients) which i continue to use to this day to lightly moisturised my hair without greasiness.
So, what caused all my suffering? On hindsight, it's years of drugstore shampoo and conditioner!
Over the course of 4 months (sep2020-jan 2021) my hair texture improve and my hairloss gradually stop, all my problems gone! So, to conclude, the biggest credit has to go to Mike for all the education he provided!

I used to use the Wella Professionals Color Brilliance and Nutri Enrich lines and I stopped using them as soon as I had got my hair back to bleach blonde because I wasn’t a big fan of sulfates and silicones as the sulfates would irritate my hair really bad and the silicones would stop my hair from getting the moisture it needs and dry my hair out and so now I use sulfate and silicone free shampoos and conditioners from brands such as Maui Moisture, Shea Moisture and Noughty which work wonders for my hair !! 😍

This is a BS comparison. First of all, you didn't convince me that the professional shampoo has a higher conc. of ingredients. In fact, YOU don't know that. Non of the ingratiates specify your claim. Second, When you compare products you have to be fair. On the surface, the minute you put more drug store shampoo than the professional one, I knew I can't follow this comparison, which why you smelled the drug store one more than the professional one. A fair comparison to me is when you compare the same amount 1:1 ratio (not 1:5, prof./drug). For instance, use 2ml of each shampoo on the surface and same drops of water 1 ml of water on each. You should also use the same type of glass or plastic of water for both shampoos (and the same amount of water), and when you use glass or plastic use an identical one for both shampoos. To me, this is a fair comparison and I hope you follow that. Because I like you and I know most of your advise is on point, I hope we see better comparisons in the future.

You need double the amount of drug store shampoo compared to the expensive one to get the benefits, this is why you get double the amount in the bottle. I dont think hes deceiving at all. It’s difficult to compare them as they are very different and he even said that in the beginning

I bought the kerastase a month ago because of my oily roots. Yes my ends feel so much healthier (since they were dry) but i don't see any difference in my roots. My day 3 still looks like day 7😟 nothing seems to be working. I've tried rinsing with lukewarm water, not using products, washing less often and so on but it's still incredibly oily..

    • @MikeDeCanter
      @MikeDeCanter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Hey Dia are you shampooing your hair twice with the shampoo and use conditioner only on the ends? if not id give that a go its very important to always preform double cleanse . Check out my how to wash your hair correctly film and we can take it from there in comments and figure out your issue xxxx

@@MikeDeCanter thank you for writing back! Yes I watched your other video a while back since I thought I might be doing it wrong. I followed the instructions and I always shampoo twice. Also I never use conditioner on the roots, only on the ends like you explained. But even so my hair still looks like I used half a bottle of oil. I should add that I have curly/wavy thick hair.

    • @tiryaclearsong421

@@diadastin7887 There is an element of genetics in how quickly your hair gets oily. I learned about most of his advice at a pretty young age. Double wash, no conditioner on scalp, and lukewarm water. You can massage with your fingerpads while singing the alphabet to get some extra manual cleaning, but there's a limit.
Outside washing behaviors, make sure to eat mostly healthy (maybe 80% healthy to 20% whatever you want). Also try to touch your hair less often. I find wearing my hair up or wearing a scarf helps. Wash your combs/brushes at least as often as you wash your hair. Wash your pillowcases often. And don't hate your hair. My hair is oily too and I can't wash less than 2-3x's a week at the moment. Dry shampoo isn't a magic potion. Kerastase is nice but it isn't a miracle worker. I had hair that got oily in less than 24 hours to start so this is an improvement even if I'm not washing once a week. I have family who wash 2x's daily so it's at least a little genetic and I've had to learn to enjoy my hair anyways.

I love your video, I am now a huge fan of the Kerastase hair products and I've watched your video to find out if it really is worth to spend money on Kerastase products. Of course they smell absolutely amazing but I can also see and feel the difference after the first wash. I'm gonna watch more of your videos to learn more from your advices😊 I've just ordered Kerastase Chroma Absolu shampoo and mask and I hope they do the magic. Thank you so much for this video❤

Cool story, bro. But $35 CAD for a shampoo.. No thanks because I cant afford. But you are right about "budget" shampoo how after you factor in the labor, transportation and packaging (although both are done by robots) how much do they really spend on the ingredients and research/development.

Hey I am from India and understand exactly what you are saying . I don’t have bestest hair in the world but honestly I see so many girls in my city with salon treated hair becoming dry and straw like ‘ jhaadu’ even with most expensive Morracan oil ,Kerastase ,Redken shampoo etc and my hair can look better than their hair . Their hair looks so pretty initially but than due to humidity or extreme dryness , if they have no time to style or if the have no budget for Olaplex treatment their hair looks miserable while I have virgin hair and it requires small maintenance. Hair mostly depends on genetics , some people are blessed with a lot of hair in their head , some with just rounded strands that are super silky , shiny and straight, while some with gorgeous curls or beautiful waves . Just like skin , too much hair care can also harm hair . I have seen even expensive shampoos using more of less same ingredients maybe they have some really expensive ingredients in their but expensive ingredients doesn’t mean better always . Some people just have hair which tangles a lot and conditioner are very important for them , also conditioner contains silicones , behtremoniums and cetrimonium and polyquats which turn negative damaged hair to positive strands while some people are blessed with hair that’s not very negative and may be less damaged therefore conditioner may not matter to them .

I agree wit u, before im using a drugi shampoo lke dove, Pantene and the elvive dat hve u shown..., Pantene and dove make my hair oily n keep built up the dirt even frequently wash, the dirt and oil still built up,unlike kerastase or other professional shampoo....it dies a. Great job on my hair,my hair super clean, not oily after 2 days, which i really happy, and my scalp not dry also, unlike the drugstore shampoo making my scalt worst and worse,n nw i dun cre hw expensive the professional shampoo are, becoz it's really worth every pennies,u juz use a little bit a shampoo without adding to much shampoo compared to a drugstore shampoo which mean is very economical....i lke kerastase, and SP WELLA!!!its WORTH
