- With "Thicker Than Blood" we wanted to shoot a video that celebrates the 5th and most important member of the band. Our fans. So we shot it from the fans point of view.
No matter how great a band believes they are… you cannot achieve your dreams of touring the world and doing what you love the most, performing, without your fans.
It’s the most important relationship in our career.

Also saw an interview here on TH-cam where Nuno said he hoped to do a video for every song. I'd like to see what he comes up with when he does X Out. Since it sounds like a Gary song maybe he'll let Gary come up with the concept.
I second this notion! Save me and X-out have a lot of creative potential!

@@machoalexandro hard disagree. Extreme never had a set sound in my opinion, and they just went for a harder, more rock focused album. Still love their older stuff as well.
Maybe it’s because I have been a fan since 1989…but I wish people would quit calling this a comeback or a return. Extreme hasn’t been away for the past 15 years even when the members would put out other stuff. More people just started listening because they put out new material. They have been touring fairly regularly for the past 16 years but other things got in the way of putting out a new album before now, one of the reasons being the pandemic and the enjoyment of playing the new music for the fans.
These guys are proof, that age is just a number.
They sound unbelievable, they look spectacular, and they kick azz like it was 1990.

My sisters and I were there at the Anaheim show where they recorded this!! Amazing performance by Extreme and the energy was surreal in the crowd. Nuno rocked it with his guitar playing and dance moves!

These guys are the genuine article, they sound as good today as they did 30 years ago.

Sorry to disagree but to me it sounds more like VH and Godsmack. But one thing we can agree on is an effin gr8 song

God, the world needed this album SO bad right now.
By far the best album to come out in years in my opinion. Definately the comeback of the year. I was eagerly awaiting for them to release this album & it did not disappoint. Thicker Than Blood is my jam. I can't get enough of this song...the whole album actually. It is on heavy rotation in my car every single day. 😊

The song itself is awesome and the guitar solo within the song is one of the most unique and brilliant pieces of music ever, and the mix is perfection!

Took my whole family to this show in Anaheim and we made it into this video! My kids are so excited.
I love that you guys have maintained the same core selfhood as a band throughout but are changing the ingredients in a lot of ways, like 28 years ago this particular musical sensation got expressed as Never Been Funked.
I'm always so thankful that my cymbals are still intact when I finish playing this tune...

Yours truly at the 9 second time frame(black Extreme Cap and Extreme shirt waiting outside before doors opened)!! I was stage left(Nuno's side) against the barricade, it was an epic night and I am glad I captured a lot of it on film(Adame's Concert Therapy -- TH-cam Channel), Nuno even came up for some close ups throughout the night!! Met them afterwards, great bunch of guys, it was truly worth every penny to fly from Houston to Anaheim to specifically attend this sold out show!! Thanks Nuno, Gary, Pat, and Kevin for the great hospitality afterwards! Look forward to seeing y'all in Austin and my hometown of Houston next week!!! PAKANUGA!!!!!!!!

I know everyone talks about the solo in Rise, but this is equally if not better for me! So many different elements pulled into this solo, and it fits so perfectly with the song style.

I like the one in Rise better, partly because it's longer, partly because you can hear it better. This is a bit muddy when he does the faster part. But I love the start and end both are slinky slow bends, he doesn't try to go too fast, definitely made it musical. I guess we like them both! 🙂

This video was shot at the HOB in Anaheim. It was the last song of their encode. They actually played it twice to get both footage of the band and crowd. It was an EXTREMEly awesome experience.
