Hey there @user-yo4qz8rt8y! Spot on - Bron-Yr Aur is definitely played in an alternate tuning, and thanks for calling me out on missing that detail in the video! This beautiful piece uses C A C G C E tuning. This tuning is what gives Bron-Yr Aur that unique, chiming sound with the open strings. It might take a little practice to get used to, but it unlocks a whole new world of sonic possibilities. Speaking of open strings, letting them ring out cleanly throughout the song is key to capturing its dreamy atmosphere. Some sections might feel easier on the fretboard, but muting the strings can kill that beautiful resonance. It's pronounced 'Bron- Rawr' only by Robert Plant - who got it wrong. It is actually pronounced thus: 'Bron - urr- Ayerr' , remember to roll the 'r' My first language is Welsh , Bron -yr - Aur translated : 'Breast of the gold' ♥️🏴
