THis song and all the others from the series of CD's are beautiful and rare thanks to you and all the others who posted them for this and possibly future generations to enjoy
I believe it was the choice that he and his companion took after giving their lives for the Kingdom's safety. I believe that the future generations of Herald's look up to him. I imagine there's probably a painting of them some where on the walls of the their chapel
@ARP7777777 According to the series His second life-bonded Stefen made this song (after Vanyel died for Valdemar) as part of his task to earn the right to join Vanyel as a guardian of the "Forests of Sorrow"
actually, if I remember correctly, I think he wrote the song soon after Vanyel became a guardian, as a song to celebrate Vanyel as a martyr instead of the unbeatable hero he was depicted as in other songs

@@ninabigoloni I understand that during his life he became a famous Bard and song writer. I believe Mag's met a Bard who been one of his students
@@TheRedwater357 I understand that was because he greatly missed Van. I believe he was largely present during the events mentioned.
this is my favorite song
Heather Alexander is the one who sings the song.
Most of her song are sung by Heather Alexander and it sounds like this one is too.
I like this song, but sometimes I think the music is a bit too cheery and bouncy for the lyrical content.
