A song from the CD Shadow Stalker, by Mercedes Lackey. The song decribes an incident not in the Last Herald-Mage Trilogy, in which Vanyel unmasks an assasin. I don't know who sung it though
@ARP7777777 Oh yeah. I recently read "Nightfall", it was excellent. I know it can't be easy to find any decent pictures. You, my friend, have made music that was as hard to find as any pictures much more accessible, for which I eternally salute you. Two thumbs up!
If that's supposed to be Vanyel, that's closer to my image of him, and far more badass than I've ever seen him look. I think it might be Vanyel for me, no matter who it's supposed to be, haha.
I always thought that this was about the swarm of killing things that attacked to rend and tear and destroy all of a bloodline with mage potential or who were mages. This was in Chapter 14 of Magic's Promise.
Just Listen to Wolven One or March of Camsbreadth, or even Mordreds Lullaby... all indisputably Heather Alexander. Voice is the same. Listen to Cost of the Crown if you want to hear Misty
When Vanyel unmasks the assassin, I always imagine it being like in Scooby Doo when they unmask a villain pretending to be a spook.
"Lets his instincts be his guiding, his own counsel he is biding, he'll be no unwitting tool!"
Actually, this incident DOES occur in the Vanyel trilogy, but we do not SEE it occur; we hear it spoken and sung about.
You're absolutely correct about it being Heather Alexander
I THNK it is Heather Alexander singing. She does many of Mercedes Lackey's songs.

It's the assassin.

This is definitely Alexander James as Heather Alexander

Mordreds Lullaby is indeed Heather Dale, a separate individual. But yeah this song is Heather A. no doubt.

@YoakeNoUsagi If you haven't read the Nightfall books, I HIGHLY recommend them.
the song is sung by Heather Alexander...
But written by Mercedes Lackey.
And he would have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for that meddling Herald and his stupid horse too.
