Glad to know you enjoyed our Filipino foods. You may want to try this tip soon when you dine in again at a restaurant. Usually, we can say "Pabalot ng Pagkain" or just plain "Pabalot" for our leftovers especially if it's plenty. This is a good idea as you can reheat it and enjoy your favorite foods at home as well. 🙂 May you keep on exploring everything here and hope you'll enjoy most of it. Stay safe. Cheers! ☺️
I have eaten at Leslie's maybe 5 times already with my family, wife, daughter, nephews and brother in laws. I like ordering Beef Bulalo with deep fried Catfish, green mango salad, grilled squid and rice. I also get fresh ice cold buko juice as my drink. Been to one of the Starbucks there too and the Pancake House. I've eaten at another place for Bulalo but Leslie's is one of the best I've tasted. Deliciousness 😋👍
it's good to see Lucy drive considering it's nuts to drive here in the Philippines but that place looks like they have good food good to see that place being busy with the pandemic going on
If you going to dine-in on the restaurants in Tagay-tay on Week-ends makes sure to do a reservation and come early, because during Week-ends many people and tourist go to Tagay-tay, to hang out to spend their time with their Family and Friends.
I went to Leslie's last year with my brother on my first ever visit to PI after 44 years in the States. I heard a lot of good vibes about this resto from friends, especially about their bulalo. It was tasty and they give you a huge serving that we had to take home the leftover. I believe it's the best bulalo I've ever had. And it's not too pricey for me considering a smaller serving at California Hotel and Casino in downtown Vegas (which I now consider as my second best bulalo place) costs just about the same or maybe even more.
Ohhh guys you just made me feel so homesick right now! Tagaytay and Leslie’s really?? So envious… every time we are in Tagaytay, it is a tradition to have lunch or dinner at Leslie’s! It’s my 3rd year here in the UK and I am so missing authentic Filipino dishes. Stay safe and enjoy Tagaytay…
You may want to go to Mahogany Market and try their bulalo. Never been there but your friends Mike and Nelly has and they raved about it. Their open market also is a mecca for variety of fruits and veggies.
Prices both Leslie's and Antonio's are expensive. You are paying for the view. Likewise either eat at Diners or on top of Mahogany Market, wherein you can get a bowl as low as from 350 to 500 Pesos
@@rhinatapere-diottavio7893 I grew in Cavite and learned about Tagaytay way back my primary life, both establishments mentioned really sustained the quality of Nilagang Baka / Bulalo recipe. Nothing fancy pure homey feel.
I make bulalo here and I use beef shank it has a nice bone with marrow in the middle and I always get a big piece with lots of meat or 2 medium size pieces. I cook it in a slow cooker on low in a beef broth and add shalots and ginger and sometime mushrooms and bok choi. It is so good. When I get back to the Philippines I will be going to Tagaytag to try some there.
Good morning George & Lucy.Try to visit the Mahogany market all kinds of beef you can buy & very cheap. Also you can buy there Fruits, vegetables & a lot if plants ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
I noticed since I started watching your vlog, you’ve gone to many places, beaches, mountains, resorts, parks, malls and different cities, I noticed only one thing, you haven’t been to cubao right? Night walk or even a dinner or lunch in Cubao’s prestigious restaurants and around. Please visit or maybe dine one time in cubao commercial district, it’s called the gateway, try it it’s cool
In Balai Dako it's Php1500 prepandemic. And I think it was for two maximum three people. And I tried another resto, I think JT was the name, way less expensive and way more serving and economical. But BD was less umami but refreshing. Leslie's is also good. Haven't had a bad bulalo in Tagaytay.

Next time you get the chance, if you do eat fish, try Crispy Tawilis. Many Tagaytay dining establishments have it in their menu, but I think it's better if you'll have it in Batangas, Taal or Lemery in particular.
Missing my motherland - having a great meal with family in Tagaytay and just overlooking the Taal volcano - I can only dream for now maybe 2023 we can come back ❤️
Guys you are lucky being there and having those wonderful delicious and mouthwatering food like bulalo. I can’t wait to eat that food , so nourishing and full of flavours and another one is the kangkong adobo or sizzling , I miss that too . They are great Filipino food , it’s worth the money.
Nice bulalo guys.yummy. my bucket list to go to tagaytay once come back home to philippines this year.hopefully earlier once the air travel restrictions goes easier.
Been to Leslie's quite a number of times when my family and I go visit the Philippines. They never disappoint - sizzling bulalo is one of their signature dish, yummy!
Since we live in the town before Tagaytay, and that is Silang, we always go to Leslie's, Josephine's or Jetty's.. actually the chain of restaurants there offer Bulalo and crispy Tawilis (fish). Bulalo is more delicious if you put some fish sauce (patis) and calamansi.. it will add more flavour to the Bulalo soup...
Go to the mahogany market their are some restaurants their that surve bulalo for 350 to 500 only.Mike and Nely they have been their at the mahogany market right their in Tagaytay.Bulalo point restaurant their bulalo is also good.Leslie food is little bit expensive because their area is in tourist spot because of the view of the taal volcano. But in Tagaytay you can find reasonable price we recommend to you go to the mahogany market

Not sure if you guys have been to the Mushroom Burger place in Tagaytay, but I always go there whenever I find myself in Tagaytay especially because of the Wishing Well they have behind the restaurant. Pretty much all the wishes I've made in that wishing well have come true! Plus the mushroom fries at Mushroom Burger is a winner!
When I was in Cebu decades ago, we were treated to the most popular bulalo (pochero in Cebuano) restaurant which turned out to be a big nipa house with dining tables both in the basement and the first floor. The place was full to the brim with many customers waiting for their turn at the table. But the long wait was worth it as we were able to savor the best tasting bulalo I have ever tasted in my life.
I've been in Tagaytay for so many times and the only Bulalo that I like there is from "Men-Ben" the one with a "Bahay Kubo" and it's the cheapest, Believe me it's really really good mostly you order it in the morning so that it has the fresh taste the meat is so tender.. It's nothing compare to Leslie's and RSM mostly its soup, well so far for me.. You're going to love it if you're craving in Bulalo.. Also try their Kare-Kare it's the best too..
No Tradition George, you can eat the way you like, I actually think that's a good a idea. bread with butter and dip to Bulalo, we use to dip our Pandesal Bread to the coffee for breakfast
Lucy, most of that Kangkong is Cultivated in a pond or sometimes to our Pasig River interconnected to Marikina City, Well, I hope you Can visit the Marikina River Park. and feature it to your blog. most of the people use to jog there in the morning, they also have night market, we also have our own Footlong bread derived from subway long bread.

I love Leslie’s bulalo!!! Yum! Don’t forget to prepare soy sauce with calamansi and sliced chili as a condiment for it. Did you eat the marrow (that’s what bulalo actually is) or misx it with your rice?
When we were young, my late father would cook bulalo and for me, it is not complete without the bone marrow which I dip in soy sauce with calamansi. To make the superb beef broth, he would boil beef bones for many hours.
Try the bulalo at the Mahogany market. It's the local market where you can buy beef. They have a lot of bulalo specialty "carinderias". And oh try also fried tawilis. A freshwater sardine found only in Taal lake. It goes well with bulalo!
Its too expensive. The best bulalo I had was in padre garcia batangas, its not from any fancy restaurant and also the most authentic taste for me. no Corn, no Pechay just with lots n lots of Onion and I mean lots of Onion. Served with just the broth and the shank with membrain. Not sure if that little by the road restaurant still exist but I would never forget it as most bulalo ive had is almost the same with nilaga which should be a different dish. Yes food at Leslie's are pretty palatable...
Yes it's good quality, price wise, beef is soooooo expensive.
I thought you’d request to wrap leftover to go (which is alright), bring to the hotel for microwave reheating later on maybe.
