      Wrong!
,,, there are female guards for female-entrance "always".

  • @gramo63
    @gramo63 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +58

Mall entrances have SEPARATE entry lines for MALES and FEMALES -- because FEMALES need to have their HANDBAGS inspected and are therefore SLOWER than MALE entry lines. However, a MALE who carries a shopping bag will also experience a similar delay.

I think its more on comfortability of women, if another female guard is checking their bag it would be less embrassing to show their private belongings.

I live in the Philippines since 10 monyhs now, I discover her channel almost one year before coming here, I like her because she say the things just like they are, she don't try to sell her country as a paradise on earth. She talk about all kind of topics and she is open minded, no real taboo and the way she talk about it is acceptable for almost everybody because she is respectful.

Right those Pilipino who are OFW are exposed in traditional greeting in western ways hugs and kiss they do the adopted this greetings but those local they don’t the traditional Pilipino greeting you will see is the wack you in the shoulder or push or tap in t shoulder which I really love to watch because the camaraderie is in there most of the time you reciprocate the same way and start laughing and jokes comes out the funny conversations continue.

Clothes dryers are rare in the Philippines, but clothes washers are available in just about any appliance store. I bought my family's first washing machine with a swirl dryer in 1989, which was Japanese made; in 1989 I purchased a fully automatic (washer with concentric swirl dryer) of the Whirlpool brand. A Whirlpool service center in Quezon City (which was just 15 minutes' drive from my home) simultaneously with its introduction to the market. Japanese & Korean made appliances have long been available in the Philippines.

Clothes dryers are rare because we can generally dry on clotheslines instead of racking up higher electric bills just to dry our clothes. Also, we tend to shower more often, change clothes more often and have clothes for the home and for going out. The material we use for our clothes is also often thin and that can be dried easily.

Right on point! The Filipina Pea is very informative on many different subjects that the common foreigner needs to know. She is often funny and at other times serious, but always well researched and informed. Her videos are geared to pass that information to we, foreigners that we don't "screw up." She shows respect for all cultures and most age levels, while still telling things like they are. Also, she is not an armchair TH-camr, but sometimes she gets out there to show some of the sights as well. I enjoy her channel and have learned a lot from her.

Foreigners are welcome even in our homes. . .& become like a member of the family even for just a short while. . .especially americans. Maybe bcoz we were an american colony for 50 long years. So from Spanish (378 years) to American (50 years) to Japanese . . . we have become a multi-culti people. We can adjust to almost anybody´s culture. We try to understand & simply consider.

Take for example, most Ilokanos are known to be thrifty; most Bisayas are straightforward; Ilonggos are very gentle speakers; Kapampangans are good cook; and so many more Nelly.

They separate the females from the males during bag inspections so that IF there are feminine items that will show in the open bags, the females won't feel embarrassed by the next female person in line seeing what those items are. They might feel embarrassed if a male happened to see what's in the lady's purse or bag.

As this culture is "overrated"? I agree to the other commenter who said it depends on which part are you at? This is actually same to other countries like The Eastern side of the US to the Western Part they have different approach as well and comes with different accents too. I think that comes with it. Just like India from the remote India to the Capital. China is not different, South Korea is also not different too. So I think it is depends which part you are at. Just basing from experience I must say.

There is what we call beso--beso. Its actually dipping your check on another check without even touching each other's check with protruding lips. This is done by women to women very close friends or peers. Its not done by men. Instead we shake hands. If close friends, the other hand reaches out the upper back just below the shoulder to pull the other person closer. Among family members, we mano and kiss the check of our parents, grandparents aunts and uncles and best friends of our parents. Friends men and women usually hug when saying goodbye to each other knowing that it would be long before they see each other again.

She's right about how hard it is to find a perosn who.knows how to fix branded things.. We had our Whirlpool washer fixed by someone.. Let's just say we had it scrapped for few pesos after that 🙄

That is very true. We are not a very touchy people. As you can see, Filipinos are very conservative and because we are religious as well, public display of affection is frowned upon.

Criyicslly true in sl.ost her observations but not necessarily very true to sll in some... like the separate doors, we font have seoarate doors for femsle and male but separate line or entrance with the same door... not like in India shere there are really places that women cudyoners or men eith eomen compsnions are expected to enter in a separate door or a small cosy door with curtains even, its the culture which is different at the sane time interesting which i myself expetienced it.... And about the houses built on the boundaries of the streets especially in the city, it is because out of necessity to maximize your area, which is normally small, i bet majority of the filipinos love an outdoor space in front or even at the side or back of the house.. It is definitely a luxury in urban areas...

Well, I guess I live in the City of Baguio and we do and great by hugging ang kissing on the cheek, and yes we do "Mano Po" too... And where we live, (Baguio), alcohols are not permitted to sell without any permits, so I guess... Not all places are not at all applicable / true to what she is saying... Maybe in other provinces, would b better if she mention about the location... Just my opinion..

My favorite social difference: my wife and I opened a joint bank account. The bank asked me what my wife's allowance is, so they could limit her withdrawals to that amount per month. I have never had a US bank ask me this question.

The separation of checking is probably because women in the philippines when they go out usually brings their entire home inside their bag (they must have magic space like my mom's), which takes a lot of time amd most Filipino men jave very short patience, hence the separation.

I can't say that what she is stating is 100% accurate. It really depends on where you're located at. Also, all malls here do have 2 separate doors because womens are to be insfected by female guards and mens to similar gender.
