Battlefield Vegas showed up at the March 2021 Big Sandy Shoot with one of their new toys: an M134 minigun mounted on an 850cc quad. Who wants to go for a ride?

When I was in Vietnam, I was with the 4th Inf Div before I was reassigned to the 1st Cav. With the 4th, once Delta company got their butts kicked. We were ordered to relieve them, but before we went into that area, sitting on a hill top at night, we watched a plane with at least one mini gun on it. The plane would fly over the area and piss a stream of red from the plane to the ground. We estimated that the plane was 1000-1500 feet above ground. After one pass, the plane would turn around and fly back and piss red again. I do not know how many times it worked over that area, but we were all very glad we were not on the ground they were working over because for every round of tracer, there were 4 rounds of ball ammo that are not seen. If there is very much dispersion, there is no chance of survival.
How much does it cost to go on this land and test that gun out? I can see high financial potential from bored families on the weekends. Why not? people pay $50/$100 to go to fairs and festivals and go on rides.
no clue why mounting the gun at the end and with a seat reversed ... actually would i throw the seat away, put the minigun onto that place, make a shield on it, so you can drive close into action and use it as "broadside" into any direction ... the quad should just be seen as ammo-carrying support, not as a all-transport vehicle ... especially with the Ukraine fights in the woods would i recommend such vehicle ... you beam your laser onto the enemys direction in the undergrowth and the shield/bulletproof glass will you protect from incoming fire, more isnt necessary ... (maybe armor the tires against 7.62 or put a extra tire on it, or air-less tires*)
minigunの問題点を、いつまで経ってもメーカーは解決しようとしないな。 BIG problem of minigun. それはminigunはガトリング式だということ。遅い回転ならよいが、minigunのような速い回転は強いgyro effectが働く。これにより動画のようにbad aimになる。 解決方法は、barrelのspinとは逆のanti-spinを働かせること。これでgyro effectは消えて、barrelがstabilizeする。 barrel weightのhalf weightのflywheelを、x2のspeedで anti-spinさせればgyro effect is goneする。1/4のweightならx4のanti-spin speedでgyro effect is goneする。 連動したspin gearが必要だが、mountして使うminigunなら No problemだ。 だが、これを書いても翻訳する人はいないだろうけどな😅
