Do I need to only switch the black toner cartridge for the Ghost White toner in order to make heat transfers for clothing? Or do I need all cartridges(CMYK) to be switched to Ghost toner?
Is it possible to replace one of the other colors with the white toner cartridge, or are they (software-)keyed? I would like to underlay my white toner with a black layer underneath in a single print.
Hey so far I’m doing sublimation and vinyl would this be a good printer to use if I wanted to print on dark garments/ black t shirts? Thank you in advance
Do you have any experience with using the HP 454dw to make transfers? Please make one for the HP 454dw I don’t know what settings to use. I couldn’t get the image to be solid complete it dis not fuse
HP 415 All-in-One Ink Tank Wireless Color Printer I want to start a garment business will this printer do it for me? Awaiting for your reply. Thank you for your content.
I just unboxed my printer and have tried a test print on plain paper. The cyan is printing pink and the magenta is red. They are HP cartridges. I have run a couple of calibrations to see if that would help, but it didn't. Any tips that can resolve this issue?
I am looking to grow my little vinyl business with the addition of a white toner printer in order to offer more intricate designs. Specifically, distressed images are a request I get constantly, which, you know, is harder to achieve with vinyl. I have been researching laser printers and just wondered if you have a recommendation for your favorite low cost laser printer? I was decided on the HP m452dw after watching one of your other videos, but then I see now that they have the HP m454dw, just a newer model according to HP so I assume the white toner should work with that also. Now watching this video of the M254, I'm just confused as to which would be the best for just starting out with this type of design and use of white toner. I want to produce t-shirt transfers mainly, occasionally hard surface transfers and occasionally paper products/stickers/leaflets. My business is pretty small though, I do around 20 shirts, a sign or two and a few decals each week. Which printer would you recommend? Also, definitely looking into the Vinyl Master program now! Thank you for all the great information!
I just read your convents. I was hoping that he would have responded abs could have read that as well. I am just like you. I have a small business and I want to invest in a white toner printer to do shirts and a few other things Did you figure out out for yourself or did you get help from another source_? If so please let me know. Thank you
For normal paper yes. For Transfer papers I ran into jams with the larger sizes using the MP tray so 8.5x11 is the largest transfer size I can honestly recommend using with these little HP printers.
Hi! I'm really interested in this printer. Can I use it to layer the white for printing on it. Can I use it on transparent selfadhesive vinyl? How do you print the white? Thank you Josh!
Have you ever gave your design a 2nd Coat of the Ghost White toner ? Just wondering if it would give it a better feel or longevity or even better Pop to the Color 🤔🤷🏽♂️ Thanks in advance 🙌🏽
That's not going to do anything but waste your time and toner. Most papers will have a white boosting in their adhesive that can help with this if you really need it.
Do we also need to use special CMYK TONER for it to be eligible for heat transfers or can we just use the toner that came within the printer and just print white with combination of GHOST toner ? Hence stock CMYK + GHOST TONER + transfer paper WILL THIS COMBO be enough for heat transfer job ?
The ghost printer doesn’t have the chip require to print with the HP printer I don’t think. Did u have to remove the chip from the black toner and put it in the white? Wasn’t the chip glued on? How did it come out?
To be clear: the printer may be the lowest cost machine for purchase. But the Ghost toners are the most expensive toners out there. They cost double the price of OKI.
I think you are confused. If you buy a OKI white toner printer it will cost at least $3500 to purchase the printer. All OKI white toner printers also use a cartridge system that comes in two separate parts. The top part will carry the toner and the lower part is the drum that applies the toner to the transfer belt. The current price for the C711 white toner cartridge in the United States is $263 and then the drum unit is $135. The price of a ghost cartridge for M254 or Canon LBP 623 is $275 and then the printer itself is around $400-$500 dollars.
i have this printer, my question to do laser transfer film do u need CYMK ghost toner or you can use regular toner? and just buy the ghost white toner. do u sell all 4 ghost CYMK for this printer? is it in stock? Sorry i called and they didnt have it in
Eventually USCutter.com will have the CMYK Ghost cartridges for the M254DW. I can't tell you when that would be since the Marketing department is in charge of all of that now. Until then the best option for toners are going to be the OEM HP toner cartridges. They will not get darker when pressed with a heat press like cheaper toners so you don't have to worry about your color going bad. When using 2 step papers, you may see some cracking on your transparent A sheet before pressing the adhesive B sheet to it. I've only seen this happen once or twice in the entire time I've been using the HP OEM toner cartridges. Stay away from the off brand amazon toner cartridges!
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with getting my ghost white toner to print white. I set the driver to print grayscale. The white ink comes out blue. Do you have any suggestions? My printer in the HP Laserjet M252dw
@@JoshsCorner Do you have any recommendations on how to fix this issue? I'm using Photoshop which seems to be a common program. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks again! I appreciate your time.
Sure thing! What type of wood are you wanting to see examples done on? If you have some samples, you can send them in to me at work and I can make a video of me testing them with a few types of papers for you!
@@JoshsCorner white pine, Doug fir, cedar, really any hardwood would be great. There is so many instructions that contradict each other about temps and times.
Can you explain a little more why getting the icolor machine is better. I like it. Business in a box idea. And when I watch your videos it's hard for me to justify getting icolor 600. It's hard to justify getting it when you do everything so perfect without the expensive machine. It seems like I won't be better getting a HP printer and a Sawgrass printer. After watching your videos I feel stupid thinking about purchasing the big machine. Can you tell me if I had the money why I should
It says lowest cost white toner printer, but doesn’t mention pricing (as far as I can tell, it’s no longer available) and doesn’t show white toner printing beyond a feeble test page. Where’s the actual demonstration?
Should i get this printer now a year later? Or you think there something better now

How well does the m254 handle cardstock
I might have missed it, but where do you buy the ghost white toner? My cartridges are the 202A
Also what's the difference between ghost toner and regular toner ink.
the ghost toner is white toner that lets you print on dark fabrics.
Can we switch between white toner and the ghost sublimation with this printer?
Can this printer print directly on transparent stand up pouches?
Hi guys, does it work with the forever transfer paper well? Does the transfer print have bright colors and hold well? Thank you very much

Whatever program you are using to print is mixing Cyan with the white. They say that when you mix Cyan and black you get a richer black.

No ghost do not have a white toner for the 255dw.
