Thanks!
I have a WTP that has really made a difference in my shop. Yes, it’s an investment. Yes, it’s a bit of a process, BUT…I am able to produce beautiful detailed designs without having to shake powder by hand.
Yea I do NOT like the DTF process at all. The printer was also a huge headache. This was so much better in that regard!
@@AngieHolden curious how you like the Prestige vs DTF?
I meant the Crio
Thank you Angie! Great video as always. Over been looking into DTF printers as they also print on a white background. There seems to be some issues with clogging. This is a different story and really has me interested. The price point is high-but they all seem to be. 😊
Yea DTF printers are a headache to maintain which had me looking at white toner!
My biggest suggestion for white toner printing... Spend extra on the heat press. If you're going to spend $$$ on a printer, expect to spend more than two hundred bucks on a heat press.
I like it!! I haven't gotten to my heat press tests yet! HA!
I have always felt that DTF print has a plastic feel on the garment. How is the white toner print feel on a garment in comparison?
White toner feels very similar to DTF.
What are the pros and cons to WTP vs DTF in terms of the products it can be used in, washable, etc - so the customer experience not the setup/maintenance side?
I have a future video coming up comparing options!
what is the difference between the Crio and the FX i560 printer?
Looks like it is another brand of white toner printer. There are several brands on the market.
Thank you for answering! I am trying to make white and dark care labels for light and dark tee shirts
I was under the impression that the session on the RIP software would be conducted live, as advertised. However, to my disappointment, during the Zoom meeting, I realized it was merely a replay of an old recording.
That is disappointing! I watched the recording as I didn't have time to do the live. Was there anyone there to answer questions?
@@AngieHolden If memory serves the "meeting" just ended. I feel I was misled. Don't give this illusion of live training when there is none. False Marketing!
How much are the ink cartridges?
It uses toner, not ink. The toner cartridges vary based on which one. Around $350 for the white. $105 for the black. And $175 for each of the color - 3 of them, C M and Y. How long they last depends on usage and image density. Up to 4500 pages on the white. Up to 10000 pages on the C M Y K ones. PS... No, you can't use off-brand toner in it.
I would just go with Daniel's answer. They last a VERY long time.
Wow, that's so expensive! Does it do black? You only put white and colors in it.
It uses the colors to mix a black, the blacks won’t be as dark as a dtf print would be.
It does do black! Just mixes the colors to get there.
I have this printer and you can purchase a black toner and replace the white one with it.
$8K??? Um. A little out of my cash-n-carry budget this year ...
Definitely not something for everyone!
The feel of the fabric and the vibrancy are worse on the white toner printers. The maintenance is less than dtf but the quality is worse and the cost is double what a dtf printer with similar output would cost. Hopefully people really research these before spending $8,000 for one.
I do think the feel was not as good as a DTF print. I am going to play with the settings/papers and see about the vibrancy, however.
You lost me at the price and that it can't be used with MAC products. No thanks
The fact that it can't be used on a MAC almost had me not getting it I will be honest.
No way! It's cost prohibitive.
It is costly but some people are investing in these types of printers.
