Thank you Angie! I wanted to try white toner printing for a very long time but the price to invest was too daunting. Now I can try this and see if it will work for me. I’m only using it for baby/toddler/kid clothing so the size is perfect. Saw your video the day it dropped, ordered my printer as my current Canon color laser was not supported and my printer is here already. Just ordered the Absolute White toner with the RIP software, some iColor 2-step paper and the T-Seal finishing sheets. I’ll be practicing until I’m completely comfortable with the process. Less than $1K versus $6k-$8K can’t be beat! I’ll keep you posted as to how it goes. Hopefully I can make enough sales to upgrade to a dedicated white toner large format printer…or 2😉 Fingers crossed 🤞😊
Yes love it. You have saved the day. And me some money. I will be adding this to my other printers. Have to find some space in my apartment now. You are a lifesaver.
Thank You Angie. You got me to finally try white toner and I got a deal on the 633 canon...I needed a second laser printer. I had a ghost cartridge I never used...they made it too complicated The rip software and your tutorial helped me finally want to use this method
@RVincents I have been using Ghost White Toner cart in HP LJP 452dn and it was a challenge. I used it with various 2-step papers and didn't like the shiny result, plus w/o rip software it made design stiff. But, they now also offer this same rip for their toner. I purchased a ABW cartridge w/RIP and I will see if I can also use it when using GWT since process is the same
@tinataylor9327 I have both also...I am going to do side by side test. You need their finishing sheet to take the shine off and help the ink sink it It does work better than regular sheets I use for dtf
Oh, for some reason, TH-cam didn't show me this video when you first uploaded it. I'm definitely interested in trying it out. It seems much easier than using DTF inkjet printers. I'm sure there will be a learning curve, but I'm up for the challenge! :-) By the way, I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this. It seems like a real game-changer! Thanks again for the informative videos, as always, your work is top-notch. 😀
Would using a remanufactured absolute white toner cartridge work with the rip software? If it does it would be an even cheaper way to try white toner printing.
Thanks for this video...when you said it won't give the same results as a dedicated white toner printer... Do you mean...In quality or durability of the print... Or just the extra steps needed to align etc?
Angie, how is that printer holding up? I've been seeing some not so great reviews on it and was just wondering considering the rest of the printers listed for Absolute White have been discontinued. Thanks!
This looks awesome. Thanks for sharing it. 1st question: White toner aside... is it the special sheets which allow us to iron on a shirt with toner ink? Similar to printing with a ink jet printer using special t shirt iron on paper? which I see is expensive. Again white toner aside... I have a sublimation printer, and have tried the dtf hack in order to put on cotton but no longer want to risk breathing in the glue while being cured plus still had to deal with the white layer issue. 2nd question: Since I am very unfamiliar with a white toner printer, if I bought one what kind of paper do I need to print on in order to turn it into a t shirt transfer. Just curious if said paper is as expensive as the paper you used in this demo. to compare long term costs of buying a white toner printer vs switching out white. Thanks in advance.
Yes it is the special paper that makes it possible and there are different papers for different applications. There are a variety of brands but they are all a bit pricey. You can expect it to run you $2 - $2.50 per print. I do like white toner printing because I do not have to worry about DTF safety issues. I have chose to have a white toner printer in my home and not a DTF printer.
Hi, besides printing white toner on clear film for stickers , can you also print kiss cut stickers on white sticker / decal paper ? Also can HP or any other laser printer brand preferably A3 tabloid size support CMYW so you can get the black color without switching back and forth between Black and White toner ? I guess this way you won’t need to print twice to avoid misalignment, thanks Much
You can print on anything you would normally print on with a laser printer. There is a list on the website of cartridges and which printers they will work with! You can print black with a CMYW set up but be aware that it will never be a true black as it is mixing the colors to get something that looks like black.
Love this option! Are these possible to splice to get a larger image? I researched and these toner cartridges aren't available for large format printers.
Can we use forever paper with the Canon and Absolute white. Uninet said yes...but forver papers say not to use it with the icolor 560...I wonder if it's because the push ghost white.
I think the Forever papers would be fine! This is not an iColor printer. Not sure why Forever says that about the iColor printers? But this would just be a Canon (or other brand) of printer using a cartridge made by iColor.
@AngieHolden that is why I asked...if it's the absolute white toner or just the printer... Maybe the 560 printer has a different paper path? I contacted uninet and they said their toner works with all the papers So it must be the printer itself... I have an Hp with Ghost...I never used because it was complicated...and I needed that laser printer so I didn't want to take the chance. With this software and your demo I feel more comfortable trying both... I got the canon for white toner as soon as saw your video.
@@AngieHolden I was just about to ask this question. Thank you! I am so glad I found your video, I was about to spend the $3000, which I really didn't want to spend, since i just make things for family and friends, This is a game changer!!!!! thank you again for all your videos!!!!
I did NOT research every cartridge and the printers listed as there were several. My goals with this one was to find a really affordable printer instead of one that prints large.
How did you know I keep checking the prices of the white toner printers (DTF), thinking that the price would miraculously drop ??! Oh my gosh I'm SO excited!!! Just a couple of follow up questions : how did your shirt feel after it was completed? How did it hold up in the wash? Thank you Angie!!😊
This came at the exact time I needed it. My big boy laser printer will be here Monday! Thank you! I'm still learning.
Happy to help!
So exciting. I’ve been sending my prints to a DTF company. Shipping is a killer!
Shipping is tough with DTF prints!

This look like a very good option. Have you tried the Ghost cartridge option as well? Just wondering which was better? The paper seems expensive.
I have not tried the Ghost version but it is basically the same thing! The paper is expensive but it is critical to the process.
Need to learn to size up larger? Any videos on that
I have one coming soon!
Great information thank you. How does toner prints hold up on fabrics through wash and drying, or on hard sub straights hand wash or dishwasher?
These would hold up the same as any white toner print which has an excellent life.
You rock…nice seeing new options from you
Happy to help!
How does this wash up? Any fading or cracking?
It works like a white toner print would so it washes well and feels great after washing.

Would using a remanufactured absolute white toner cartridge work with the rip software? If it does it would be an even cheaper way to try white toner printing.
Sorry I am not sure!
Are you able to do this for tumblers as well?
You would need a different paper but yes you can print for hard surfaces!
Thanks for this video...when you said it won't give the same results as a dedicated white toner printer...
Do you mean...In quality or durability of the print...

Just the extra steps for alignment/getting colors correct. The end result is the same as you are using the same paper and toner.

Hmmm....I haven't had issues!
Angie...have you tried the laminator method of marrying the A and B Sheets?
I have not! I saw that somewhere the other day but I have not tried it!
@AngieHolden I am going to try it...I have a pro laminator that has temp settings and a regular laminator...I will try both and let you know...

Can I still do this if I only have a HTVRONT auto heat press?
I recommend heavy pressure for white toner printing so I do NOT. use any AutoPress for those.
The one thing I didn't see you mention is what are the paper settings in the printer. Can you share those? Thanks!
I used a heavy paper setting and found that worked well. I will say it is probably something you may need to experiment with.
Is there a larger laser toner printers?
There are but you would have to find one the absolute white cartridges will work with for this.

With this ink, are there special fabrics you have to use? Like sublimation has to be polyester.
Nope! Any fabrics!

Angie, I purchased the LBP632cDW. That is what came up when I pressed your link. But the Absolute white cartridge says LBP630c so will that be ok?

Why does the black look ashy or is it the glare?

Yes...Laser printer uses toner...ink jet uses ink
