With Encanto I really feel like Disney understood that they have a free moving camera and use it to their fullest. Here but also in 'We Don't Talk About Bruno', the camera feels like a whole other person.
Yes, I noticed that too. I was amazing. This movie was done so well.
keep in mind, It wasn’t Disney who made this, it was Byron Howard and Jared Bush
Bruh you should react to dos orugitas clip from encanto
It hits different when you what the scene
Absolutely. I get a feeling of a true 3D space in this movie. I especially love it in the environments of the house.
I don’t know why but your reaction to Mirabels “gift” was priceless I found it so funny 😂
“If you time it just right, you get see his heart break right there.”
7:58
True
"ooOOOoooooo nooooooo you ain't SPECIAAAALL?? kkkhhhhkhkhkhkh"
😂😂😂😂😂
This song is a solid way to begin the movie! Lin-Manuel made it so upbeat that it rivals Coco’s own music.
Hello I see you often in MLP related videos
@@muslimwoolfy-winterequestr4344 You should. If I have something worth talking about regarding the show, then I’m there!
“Waiting on a Miracle” is a little gem a song as well, Lin wrote it in 3/4 as a way to show how Mirabel is out of sync with the rest of her family in Encanto. I think it might be the only Disney song in 3/4 (that I’m aware of) and it’s also a nod to folkloric Colombian music in 3/4. The visuals are also stunning on that one!
Yes, it's such a special gem and so underrated! Every time I hear it, I can feel the words in my soul. I relate to Mirabel so much in that song.
Ok I agree it catchy to me and the rest
There's a decent number of Disney songs in 3/4.
Up
Really? I thought it was on 6/8?
Edited: Actually yes. Listening back to it, I'm pretty confident it's in 6/8
My favorite is Surface Pressure. It's basically the "Satisfied" of Encanto, as far as tone and emotions.
Yesssssssssss
You can tell that even though she’s working hard to protect the whole family she really REALLY wants to protect Mirabel. It shows in the video with her pushing her out of the way and when the doors fall. Everyone thinks she’s the adults because she’s muscular but isa is actually the eldest
@@destinyswanigan1854 Yes, we know. Thanks.
@@Cityweaver you’re welcome😊
YOOOOOOO
5:45 you can see Mirabell is waving her dress this way and that. Me and other Colombian ladies had to learn to dance like that when we were children. Isn't the animation great
Yep...
I'm guessing it is hard to learn to shake the skirt just right? It looks amazing, and so precise, you never see anyone's underwear, even though you get so close to it. The flatter of the skirt looks so precise as controlled, like waves!
@@galinabrack6057
Is not that hard, most of how cute it looks come down to the las of phisics xD
“What else can I do” & “All of you” are my FAVORITE of Encanto! But they are definitely better with the context of the movie first
S A M E
Bro please do "What else can I do"
Sounds like Shakira 's song when she was starting her career
YEAH! YIU MUST LISTEN TO OTHERS ENCANTO SONGS!
"All of You" is really spoilery, though. I mean, it's the last song of the movie. I think it's one of those songs you can't listen to until you actually see the movie.
fun fact, the melody of the part where mirabel’s abuela starts singing is actually part of another song from encanto, “dos oruguitas”. i really recommend that 1 too :]
Oh my god I didn’t even notice that
Oooh, good catch, you're right! Talk about some subtle foreshadowing that part of her is still burdened be that past.
Damn good call
Oh shit you’re right
why did you say this I'm now crying
It feels trippy hearing Stephanie Beatriz's natural voice. After hearing her Rosa voice for so many years.
I feel slightly cheated that we never had an episode where Rosa had to sing, I think it would've been hilarious.
It makes me love her even more honestly.
I've had all these songs stuck in my head and firmly placed on my spotify playlists! Surface Pressure is my absolute favorite!
IKR! Every day since I saw the movie I've had we dont talk about Bruno stuck in my head
Btw all the songs are better with the animation
Ikr! My fav is “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” or “What Else Can I Do” or “The Family Madrigal”
Wait… THESE SONGS R ON SPOTIFY?
@@_abopdadop_ yeah every Disney song is on spotify
Actually the whole rhythm over rhythm is a very Colombian thing, like the whole song has so many elements that match very well and it makes you want to dance, its just what it does! Also the little details like the coffee cups that go with the song as they're picked up or the guys playing tejo that threw the gunpowder pieces following the rhythm the song takes in that moment. Also how the rhythm changes throughout the song and that in Abuela Alma's part it gets to be similar to the one of dos orugitas, a song that Sebastian Yatra sings and that scene in the movie tells the story of how abuela and abuelo met and how with him dying it was that the miracle was found. This whole song is a mix of culture and the movie's story that matches really well with the visuals, so many cultural details that mixed with beautiful landscapes and rhythms I've heard since childhood this song made me kind of cry of joy.
I particularly love how the diegetic elements mingle with the song, such as the clinking coffee cups and the little explosions when the kids are chasing Mirable and she passes by the men playing tejo. But my favorite one is the chorus of "Isabela" and "Luisa" and how they illustrate the village's relation to both of them. For Isabela their voices are mellow and full of wonder, they all adore her for her beauty and grace but they keep some distance because she is so perfect it's hard to get close to her. But with Luisa they have this insistent chant that reflects how they rely on her and constantly call her to fix their problems with her gift. It is such a nice touch, it really adds to the already amazing storytelling of this song.
The way he goes "Oh nooooooo" when Dolores says Mirabel didn't get a gift was such a mood.
and then when he said "you aint special" i died lol
:Waiting on a miracle" is another great one!! It explores Mirabel's feelings about her lack of a gift! Her sisters songs are amazing too, "what else can I do" and "surface pressure"
Waiting on a Miracle broke my heart. Such a great song!
honestly, this entire soundtrack is filled with bop after bop and masterpiece after masterpiece. I'm just gonna recommend you do the rest of the spoken songs.
Hello, I am Colombian and the rhythm of the percussions at the beginning is called "Merecumbe" and it is typical of the Afro-indigenous-Colombians of the Atlantic coast combined with another rhythm called "Chande" and it is of the Colombian Afro-descendants of Palenque combined with "Vallenato" which is a rhythm with accordion of the indigenous people of Valledupar, the percussion peals are from the vallenata box and llamador box a ancestral colombian percussion , the rhythm at the end is called "Puya" and it consists in that the accordion and percussions must go very fast so that the singer sings very very Quick. have a great day, greetings from Colombia.
Gracias por haberlo explicado todo!! Música es como sigo conectando con mi cultura y orígenes (y gastronomía). Fue emocionante verlo en películas de Disney!
Ooo, ty for the info!
Let's all be honest here,we all love the scene where Mirabel says "Mom" it's so adorable 😍
Omg you're gonna LOVE Surface Pressure
Definitely one of the best songs of the movie!
@@lemonsforthedevil3873 agreed
I legitimately almost started crying in the cinema because of how GORGEOUS the animation of Surface Pressure is. Well I ended up crying anyways at dos oruguitas 😅
"ooHHoHHOOhhh you ain't specialllllll~" love it
hahahahahhahaha
"YOU AIN'T SPECAAIIIAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!" - I died! Holy shit you're effing amazing!
Im so glsd u got to react to the video itself, not only are the visuals gorgeous but some of tbe sound effects add to tbe song. The tea cups clinking and tbe little bangs between mirabels singing at 7:33 are so cool
“All of you” and “We don’t talk about Bruno” are definitely my favourite gems in a sea of diamonds!
His reaction to finding out mirabell had no gift was gold! 🤣
"Surface pressure" & "what else can I do? " are awsome!
Fun Fact: The singing for Abuela was done by Olga Meredith who played Abuela Claudia in both versions of In the Heights.
No way! That's crazy! 🤯
You're reaction to Mirabel not having a gift made me subscribe 😂😂😂😂😂
hahahahahhahahahahahaa
@@DavidTheHooman 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:23 When the chorus says "Mirabel!" gives me vibes from Guns and ships when chorus sings "Lafayette/Hamilton"
I seriously recommend Encanto's 'surface pressure' song. It's super catchy and the lyrics are so relatable, its my favourite!!
Highly addictive. I'm a 43 80's rock fan but I can't stop listening to these songs. I'm obsessed ❤️❤️❤️
The: "It starts with Abuela and then Tia Pepa she handles the wether!" Is just AMAZING
“Waiting on a miracle” broke my heart and made me sob in the theater it’s so definitely worth a good listen
I looove that you're reacting to the songs from encanto. The songs from it are masterpieces.
I love this movie so so much!! The soundtrack has been on repeat for me, and I just saw it a second time already this past weekend. “Surface Pressure” was an instant favorite of mine, but “Waiting On A Miracle” easily snuck it’s way in to my heart too. I absolutely love both of those songs!!
I love that stuble saturation they did on the painting when she points out each person in the mural
“What else can I do” From Encanto is my personal Favorite
Makes you wanna get up and dance (like all the songs in this movie) 😊
You should definitely go back and watch the scene for "We Don't Talk About Bruno". The visual shifts during the song are amazing! Really, you should react to all the songs with the scenes playing. They hit differently than hearing the songs alone.
"What Else Can I Do" and "Surface Pressure" are my two favorite Encanto songs I think you would enjoy them too.
It’s really great how Lin Manuel Miranda can make such a fun time out of what is basically exposition. The first song from In The Heights is another good example of that.
I finally saw this movie last night and everything about it was so good. It's now living rent free in my head.
Spotify also has the Spanish version of the album and it's really good too!
Love how he noticed and recognized how beautiful my country is, like the movie is not exaggerating anything with its colors or textures, everything is perfect for being the exact same as it is in real life in here.
Also, about how he said that the music is about rhythm on rhythm on rhythm is soooo true, for us, Latinos, whenever we are when we listen to any type of music with Latin vibes (salsa, merengue, bachata, etc) we can't stop ourselves from dancing and singing.
The soundtrack is amazing!!! I haven’t stopped listening since I saw the movie last month!!
The Camilo and Dolores line in the second half is so satisfying to listen to its so nice omg
Honestly the entire soundtrack is golden! I'd recommend listening to the entire thing as it's meant to reflect the variety of music that Colombia loves.
Colombia* and you are correct!
My favorite from Encanto is Surface Pressure, it’s even better with animation. I also loved we don’t talk about Bruno and I would love it if you reacted to the animation for it, it makes the song so much better.
Surface pressure is one of my favorites but I'm bias as the oldest sister, I listened to that song and immediately realized a lot of family stress that I had put apon me by the adults and younger siblings. It was almost surreal to hear about someone being called special then getting burnt out.
"Falling fast" from little miss perfect the musical, it's a back and forth between the singer's of "little miss perfect" and "ordinary" and you're going to LOVE it!
All the songs in this movie are amazing!, and watching with the clips is even better since both the music and the visuals really compliment each other. If you want an amazing one that can tug at your heart strings, try "Dos Orugitas", it's in my opinion one of the most emotional ones in this sound track.
If you liked this one another good one from this show is The main characters song “Waiting on a miracle” I cannot stop listening to it
It’s real! That house is like walking through Cartagena’ streets (a Caribbean port in Colombia), that vividly beautiful, the balconies full of flowers…is so amazing that you feel is surreal!
You should go and taste all the food!
Can we talk about how they have this huge part about Luisa and Isabella when they're the people with so many expectations on them
That raspy ohhh nooooo was the most impressive sound I have ever heard a human make
If you want something new to react to the songs from Julie and the Phantoms are amazing! The show's about a girl named Julie and her ghost band, and some of the songs I most recommend are Now or Never and Edge of Great. The actors are actually playing the instruments and singing live in the show!
Thissss
YAAAS I LOVE THAT SERIES
“All of you” is really nice too. I also find “Surface Pressure” Really nice, its about the sister Luisa(the strong one)
We all like to get mad at Disney's sketchy business practices. But they still do good with music and animation
I didn’t even notice the stroke at the end pff, that’s what I get for watching yt late at night
Now it’s time for Surface Pressure reaction let’s gooo!
An often forgotten song from encanto would be dos oruguitas (or two oruguitas for the English version) it's a beautiful song and I definetly recommend it
Woohoo! Another video! Awesome song as always. Gonna have to request the soundtrack from the Undertale game, preferably either the songs "Undertale" or "Battle Against a True Hero." First one is sweet and emotional, second one is a banger.
Yesss, Undertale!
“You ain’t special! 😭”
YOU WRONG FOR THAT! HAD ME WHEEZING!! 😭😭😭😭
This is my beautiful Colombia baby!!, many rhythms, many colors, many races, a lot of variety of flora, fauna, cultures, clothing, and everything is real; Except the house that makes everything and the powers xD but, the rest, everything is real. Thanks for reacting to the songs of Encanto, I hope you continue reacting to the rest of the songs and here I will be watching the videos!.
"She didn't get one"
you can just see his heart shatter-
I happened to stumble upon your videos and I am HOOKED! Your energy is just so infectious and I love hearing your appreciation for all the musicality and work put into these songs and i feel like im listening to these songs with new ears! Can't wait to see more of your videos :)
My kids and I absolutely LOVE the Encanto soundtrack! It is so fun to watch you enjoying the songs too. Keep shining your beautiful light, my friend!
The "you ain't special" made me laugh probably more than it should've-
This may be the best Disney movie I’ve seen in years!
I'm obsessed with this movie, and soundtrack, the whole thing lol. I think this is one of the best things Disney has EVER done.
"YOU AIN'T SPECIAL"
AKSKZLZKZ dude you gotta see the movie first chance you get its amazing
Is it in theaters? I might give it a go on Friday
@@DavidTheHooman Yes, it's in theaters 😊, I'm waiting to watch it, when it comes out on Disney plus December 24th 😊. But you should definitely go see it, I haven't 😔, but can't wait 😀.
@@DavidTheHooman oh yeah, I don't think its on Plus until Christmas or something glike that so if you're good with theaters then yeah, highly recommend 😉
You always seem so happy it makes me smile. Thanks for being so great! :)
I don't know why but my favorite parts are when she rhythmically knocks on the doors and the "But what about Mirabel?!" bits
I swear Lin can't write a soundtrack without the inclusion of "Okay okay okay okay, so-" and it's so endearing. This song is so much fun, so is the animation. It makes me laugh every time and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Honestly, my favorite thing about this show isn't the emotional healing or magic or anything. It's Mirabel's skirt graphics, Isabella's flower-splosions, and the the songs where people are discovering or revealing themselves (I call them Identity songs).
everyone talking about the movie ignoring your angelic voice and amazing talent!
Just watched this movie today! It's absolutely beautiful and I cried at least 5 times
5:30 OMGGGGG THAT GORGEOUS ISABELA 💓🦄🌈🧸🪄
The townsfolk when Isabela does anything according to Mirabel: 5:29
I cant get over the “OHHH MY GOD THATS GORGEOUS”
Your reaction to her not having a gift is so great brightened up my day I love it
First video I’ve seen by you btw definitely earns a subscribe
His laugh is succchhh a vibe!! I always smile when he laughs.
“Luisa will snap your neck bro”
First of all not on purpose she’s to precious and secondly I’d gladly let her😳🥰
Encanto is what Raya and The Last Dragon WANTED to be, but couldn't be
Ooo 🤣 I loved both movies though
Yes the animation is gorgeous! 😍
A proud Colombian here. Thanks for loving Encanto guys!!!
"Ooooohhhhhh noooooooo!!!!! You ain't speciaaalllll???????" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 One of the best reactions I've heard in 2021!
was on this cartoon yesterday. This is an incredibly interesting and sometimes funny musical cartoon. If there was a character like David, I wouldn't be surprised. Thanks for the video hope you also saw this cartoon. Please make reaction on " Surface Pressure" Encanto
I highly recommend that you react to “What else can I do”. The song is kinda about self discovery.
Ok but What Else Can I Do is my fave from this musical. All of the songs are MASTERPIECES but for some reason that song specifically gave me real “Disney Princess” “finding yourself”vibes, which I LOVED. 😂
Gotta say had to leave the theater early but I loved the music and story of it all. It was so amazing. I had been hearing some of the songs in TikTok and here on TH-cam. I highly recommend under the surface. Was the first one I had heard of the soundtrack.
Surface Pressure is my personal favorite! It’s the one I connected most with, as I’ve definitely felt that pressure of being the oldest and having to be strong for everyone else. And that chorus… Ahhhhh! Just. Perfect 👌
the name of this rhythm is CHANDÉ, this is a rhythm from the Colombian Caribbean, saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴
I am so glad you continued reacting to Encanto's songs. They're really great!
I recommend also reacting to Surface pressure and What else can I do since the music in these songs were so great and I really love transitions in Surface pressure.
that part at the end... oooooooooooooooooo you're not speciallll I died... Encanto is such an amazing movie.
I like how you said a guitar can be a percussive instrument and not to go into it but a piano is also a percussive instrument. The sound that it makes is when the hammers hit the strings, thus is a percussive instrument.
Oh my gods your face is just priceless when you find out she has no gift
Lmao! "You ain't special" + reaction haha priceless😂🤣😂🤣
I need to find time to see this movie. The animation is amazing, the music is beautiful, and the movie is... well magical. Lol
Still recommending Paint it Black by Sebastian Böhm.
Reacciona a 2 oruguitas, no te arrepentirás🥺❤❤❤❤
god bless this musician
Oh my GOODNESS!!!! I love your reactions I wish I had watched this masterpiece of a movie with you 😂 I hope you get around to watching the whole thing! Thanks for the insight, I have even more love for these songs than I already did 💛💙❤️
Please watch this film, it's amazing
What else can i do and Surface Pressure, you should react to those ones ❤️ Love from Colombia!
Fun fact: most of Colombian kids drink coffee from very early age! From a Colombian person :D ❤️
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU AINT SPECIAAAAAAALLL!!!!” Omg I’m deceased 😂😂😂
