I bought a 2023 Accord Hybrid touring top trim in black and I love this car. This new gen looks so much better to me, I really prefer this new mature look. I go to the gas station only once a month, the ride in this hybrid is so quiet and smooth, and it drives amazing! Great job Honda 👏🏻
Like the design, but it should have four-wheel drive, passenger seat auto adjustment, pockets behind the seats, and ac adjustments available in the rear seat. Gas mileage is great, but it's missing basic things that would not raise the price that much. I've owned two Honda Accords. Would love to return to Honda Accords, but what's lacking is a turn off.
Thank you for the review Joe! Watching your videos was one of the main deciding factors to buy my ‘23 Accord touring! 2 months in and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned!

So glad I got my hands on a 10 speed 2.0L 10th gen sport when I did lol Such a perfect accord after I swapped the tail lights and blacked out the chrome. Don't understand why Honda cut so many corners on the new accord compared to the 10th gen with the lack of ac for the back seats as well as the lack of seat pockets and heated seats for the driver and passenger. Even the leather seats on the 10th gen accord sport looked better than those new cloth seats! Shame :/ (Also I'm not liking that they ripped off the interior from the civic when the 10th gen had a unique style interior compared to the civic of that generation. Cut the maintenance schedule in half and use premium gas or you will have problems. Or just sell before warranty expires just like all the ford turbo crap.
I love that they used led amber for the front and rear turn signals. Most manufacturers don’t put amber in the back. They combine it with the taillights which is ugly.
It’s a little anodyne, but not terrible. I think it looks best in the red or blue colors. Definitely on my list as the overall package is great for a daily driver
The new Accord is probably going to be a great hybrid. The perfect daily driver 👌 You just have to ignore the front or just don't care about how it looks. You need to drive a lot to really appreciate a Hybrid. It's not for everyone.
I have this new 2023 Accord Hybrid touring and I love it. It is literally the perfect daily car and I prefer the new "mature boring" looks in this new Accord compared to last generation.
The look of the car grew on me. It's definitely worth the investment! I've been leasing for 10 years now and plan on buying this one out at the end. with car prices going up, I recommend this car! the MPG is insane and this car gives me the cheapest insurance rates I've ever had ($193 a month) my state is the second most expensive state to insure a vehicle in the US. With all that said, the sport is the only model I find attractive, the other ones look weird to me. Highly recommended.
I have a 2017 Accord... What I really miss in the new Accords is the camera on the right outside mirror so you can see along side your car via a console display. A salesman tried to convince me that a little car that lites up on the outside mirror was just as good. Baloney. Not really sure how the CVT paddles work...need to research. Thanks for your video.
Totally agree with you about that side camera. I have it on my 2015 model and the lack of that camera is one of the reasons I have not updated that vehicle. It has saved me so many times from hitting cyclists trying to sneak through on my right side. Now I see Hyundai and Genesis including these on their vehicles, so there is no reason for Honda to have dropped it. They have simply cheapened the Accord while the price goes up. I am holding on to my Accord until it falls apart. The other Accord I had I finally retired in January. I was planning to get the new Accord, but that changed after I saw this new model. I decided to finally experiment with an SUV and got me the 2023 MDX. HONDA needs to bring that camera back. They are falling behind in tech.
Definite shift in direction from Honda here. More "luxury" than "sport" for sure..... but even then, lacking the rear vents/chargers? I know it's not the only vehicle to miss that feature, but that's just baffling. On a 25K car I would expect that.
accord is no longer a 25k car. The base trim starts at 27,295 plus 1000 destination fee. You will get a cloth seat and single climate zone control for this price.
Back seat looks totally bargain basement budget but for the price I think it's a pretty decent machine especially if you don't haul people in the back that often. The MPGS are a real treat.
1) If you don’t like the fake sound in Sport mode can you use individual mode to set everything to sport except the sound? 2) Accords do not have satellite radio capability, correct?
I have a 2021 Sport 2.0 - that is the biggest zonk that Honda does not carry over that Type R engine. Looks like I am not trading mine back for a new one.
If you drive a lot, the Accord may be the best hybrid ever. You just need to ignore the front. Just don't look at it. 😂 The 2.0 is a great little 4 banger
You are right about this Accord being the best hybrid ever. And I actually really like the front and the back of this new gen. I prefer the looks in this new Accord compared to the last one, but we all have different taste!
@Banjothegoat You’re right lol It’ll hopefully last me at least 3 years until I trade it in, thinking about making a my next daily at Z4 30i or a Miata nd
I've visited Honda dealership in February stumbled across this 2023 accord. I was like this accord looks hella different like strenchout Volkswagen Passat. The salesman said that honda hired top audi engineers to build these sexy looking Hondas. Go figure 😳
I love Honda design. At same time currently Camry has more options to choose for hybrid like panoramic roof (saw in person, very impressive for a non premium/luxury car) although the model is getting old. Lower Camry trims are also more fuel efficient 50+ mpg. I just can imagine what Camry will bring as a new model. Camry is Toyota’s cash cow 🐄😁
This is just the Sport, the Sport-L has leather seats and black out wheels and window trim, also it has heated seats and other features that the regular sport does not, I work at a Honda dealership
As the owner of a 2023 Accord Sport L, I am qualified to say you are in a base entry level Accord Sport. The "L" stands for leather which the car you are reviewing does not have. Otherwise, a great review as always.
Instead of killing the Accord, Honda merged the Civic and Accord into a single platform with minor differences. A sound business move. Unfortunate that they killed off the wagon so many years ago; it was a very practical wagon. A 2 Liter 4 cylinder, with a hybrid system, is a winner. 46 MPG is incredible for a full sized sedan, and it isn't too slow. So an extremely practical vehicle. Hard to believe how the price has increased over time. I bought my last accord for 20k. Not a fan of the wire mesh. Cloth seats are nice. Not sure that given the somewhat similar price for the CRV that the Accord will regain any market share. These sedans are doomed if you get a bigger, taller vehicle for just a slight decrease in MPG. The car companies are so deliberate about slotting their pricing to extract maximum money, but forcing you into top touring trim to get heated and ventilated seats (a must for Sun Belt customers) pushes it right into the CRV range.
I have the Sport-L. Also if you did not know the L stands for Luxury. That one is just the regular Sport trim. The Sport-L comes with all gloss blacked out body kit as well as blacked out rims, and blacked out accents on the windows. The body kit on the Sport-L is also more aggressive. Very different. More amenities, leather everywhere, blacked out Sport Emblem, Heated seats, and probably more stuff that i cant even think of right now. The regular Sport has none of that. I believe the breaking system is even better too on the Sport-L. for over $36k you get a lot more. I love mine. It turns heads for sure. Just came back from the store right now and i over heard some dude and his wife go ''whoa look at that car'' lol. Cheers. If you can get one i highly recommend it.
@@DaKurupt19 You are correct. It actually means both though. It means Leather/Luxury. Look it up. Why would Honda add extra to just say Leather only? The Sport-L is more than just leather. $31k compared to $36k? Yea bud lol you pay the price for more luxury.
I'd definitely choose the Camry and K5 over this gen Accord. The tail lights is the only appealing thing about it imo. That's really all they shouldve changed
So the Accord Sport comes in two models, the regular Sport and the Sport-L. And the one your reviewing is the is just the Sport. And you can tell that it’s just the regular Sport by the alloy wheels and the silver trim around the door trim. The Sport-L has all black rims, black window trimming, leather seats with heat controls, and a rear bumper diffuser.
Me too. I feel very underwhelmed by it and I regret getting it. I just recently tried breaking my lease and getting the K5 instead but I would have to spend too much money. Even the current Sonata is better than any Accord. I do miss my 2020 though.
2023 Accord Hybrid Touring owner here. I've had it for six months now. Overall I'm very satisfied with the car. I chose the Honda over the Toyota Camry. The Accord has more room and better features. A few things I don't like - The windshield is either not shaded enough or too thin and lets a lot of heat through. The passenger seat is low and cannot be height adjusted. The front end sits very low and easy to scrape when going in and out of driveways. To the 2.0T crybabies - The 2023 Hybrids get 200 miles more range out of tank of gas. In these days of high gas prices I will gladly take economy over a little bit of power. The only other gripe is I wish the Touring model had a 17-inch wheel option rather than the 19.
Liking my new ‘23 sport hybrid-L but they have to fix the software update. I hate when my phone doesn’t connect to the infotainment system & also I would like to be using the safety features as well when driving but they automatically turn off after use! Great car on gas I’m averaging 38.2 MPG and I do drive about anywhere from 30-50 miles a day. Takes about $50-60 for a full tank about a week or week and a half. Really tho they have to fix the software update.
Not a fan of the dealer added pinstripes that went out in '85. Agreed zonk for the chrome molding on this trim, black moldings would have went very well with this color and the black wheels. Honda likely didn't want to slow the production line with another bin of optional moldings to keep costs down.
This is not the Sport L trim. It is the Sport trim. I have the Urban Grey ‘23 Sport L and it has 19” matte black 5-spoke wheels. That’s one of three visual differences. The 2nd is the Sport badge on the deck lid on the Sport L is gloss black and chrome on the Sport. The third difference is the Sport L has leather seats, not cloth. The “L” in Sport L stands for leather.
I talked a lot of trash about the new look I’ve been a Honda girl went to Audi and Kia and some way 😂ended back with Honda I have the Touring hybrid same color I LOVE MY CAR! I just hate we don’t have xm radio anymore. The ride is so smooth
I did this. The sonic grey has more of a blue undertone to it. The pearl in sonic grey is green and is less noticeable than the gold pearl in urban grey. Urban is slightly darker and has much less blue undertone than sonic.
Minor correction, this is a Sport trim, not the Sport-L. Sport-L adds leather, heated seats, matte black 19” rims, and gloss black splitter, diffuser, and rocker panels.
Thank you, I new that didn’t sound right.
The biggest zonk is the Lincoln taillights. I don’t mind the front or side

@@lanesworld4000very well said.
Yes what color did you get I like the urban grey
@@veronicadede5571 I have the urban grey pearl. Looks like it’s a sign ✨
@@Saintella777 yes for sure did you tint the windows ?
@@veronicadede5571 no, tint is illegal in New Jersey.
@@Saintella777that sucks well I’m in California looking forward to the car
My friends dad had a brand new Accord when they came out in the uk. I always thought they were cool. I was a teenager at the time.
That’s is really awesome. Thank you for sharing that!
Looks like a police car! 😂😂 front end is too long. Either way another great video
It’s a really great car if you’re looking for something smooth, great mpg, and sporty. Very happy with it
Looks nice, but that front end is pretty dull!
Trust me you are not the only one that is saying that.
Luxury: “0”
Back seat looks totally bargain basement budget but for the price I think it's a pretty decent machine especially if you don't haul people in the back that often. The MPGS are a real treat.
1) If you don’t like the fake sound in Sport mode can you use individual mode to set everything to sport except the sound? 2) Accords do not have satellite radio capability, correct?
I like the new Accord but I agree with your zonks. Especially in the rear
Nice, wish they would bring back the v6, add Panoramic roof, rain sensing automatic wipers, Sport seats and it would be great
I have a 2021 Sport 2.0 - that is the biggest zonk that Honda does not carry over that Type R engine. Looks like I am not trading mine back for a new one.
I was on the fence for the longest time over the last gen. This current gen does not have evoke that same kind of response at all.
This is a very good point!
This car is already in desperate need of a mid cycle refresh
If you drive a lot, the Accord may be the best hybrid ever. You just need to ignore the front. Just don't look at it. 😂 The 2.0 is a great little 4 banger
You are right about this Accord being the best hybrid ever. And I actually really like the front and the back of this new gen. I prefer the looks in this new Accord compared to the last one, but we all have different taste!
This looks hella nice with the dark tint. I didn’t like the style at first but it has grown on me 😅
Yes I have 5% all the way around and it’s raw with this color

Not a sport sedan but a great sedan, almost got one myself but ended up getting a Elantra Hybrid
@Banjothegoat You’re right lol It’ll hopefully last me at least 3 years until I trade it in, thinking about making a my next daily at Z4 30i or a Miata nd
Thanks for you input and perspective on this one
@@monkey6901finally someone who understands Hyundai is not reliable
Good choice, many Accord and Camry buyers regret buying their car over the Elantra
@@RaitisRides of course, love your channel and personality sir
The front end is growing on me but yeah it does have an American look especially with that grille
This is not a Sport-L….this is a sport. the Sport-L has leather seats and black rims.
This is just the Sport, the Sport-L has leather seats and black out wheels and window trim, also it has heated seats and other features that the regular sport does not, I work at a Honda dealership
Joe and Lori and Steve and keep up the good work and I love the video 👍 💯💯💯
Idk why people buying still a sedan. This car only looks good when it’s super clean. Also looks like you trying to impress someone but no one cares.
Incredible that now most of the Honda and Acura products there is no vents for the second row passengers. A deal breaker for families
Best 40k I spent, not a big fan of the tear drop side view mirrors. 52 MPG, you and say all you want, I am sold. Mines came with black rims.
As the owner of a 2023 Accord Sport L, I am qualified to say you are in a base entry level Accord Sport. The "L" stands for leather which the car you are reviewing does not have. Otherwise, a great review as always.
Thank you for the great intel.
Putting fog lights on this car would make it look better.
That is a very good point
I didn't like it at first, but the hybrid sport has really grown on me. I actually prefer it over the 22 model now.
Hahaha. No. It's stands for leather.
The taillights are absolutely beautiful looks like an A7 and seeing the car in person looks even better 🔥
Im gonna keep my 2018 2.0t sport after watching this Joe.
You have great taste!
@@RaitisRides thanks bro,it sure is a good car.
So the Accord Sport comes in two models, the regular Sport and the Sport-L. And the one your reviewing is the is just the Sport. And you can tell that it’s just the regular Sport by the alloy wheels and the silver trim around the door trim. The Sport-L has all black rims, black window trimming, leather seats with heat controls, and a rear bumper diffuser.
hold on to your wheels, i saw a white '23 sport on milk crates last week in the bronx
Oh wow! That is crazy Cameron.
I will wait for the refreshed sonata. I'm just too underwhelmed by this car.
Me too. I feel very underwhelmed by it and I regret getting it. I just recently tried breaking my lease and getting the K5 instead but I would have to spend too much money. Even the current Sonata is better than any Accord. I do miss my 2020 though.

Keeping my 2019 2.0T. Honda dropped the ball on this design and not having the 2.0T in the engine lineup. Love the tech tho lol
Very few people who still loves sedans. . Nice video
Thank you for the review Joe!
4 Years ago the Sport used to go for about *$26,000* ....
Looks goodish, but not enough considering the price increase
NOT the hybrid... And you can expect to pay $26k+ for a USED 2019 Accord Sport right now.
I'm comparing MSRP to MSRP and trim for trim@@shojus
4 years ago was a different world then. Absolutely everything has gone up in price. The top trim for this Accord is about 39k and well worth it.
@@peruvianheat2053 Tell me how much salaries have went up in the last 4 years
I love Honda Accord Sport L and I feel like Honda did a good job.
2.0 owners aren't concerned about gas prices, and if you want 17in wheels on a touring then switch out the 19s for 17s... voilá
Rati. Thats a Sport. Not a sport L. The EXL get leather and heated seats, rear vents and usbs
Why is your gas mileage so low?
@@joshua9073 that’s what I’m averaging. On a full tank I get 450+ miles sometimes 500 miles
Not a fan of the dealer added pinstripes that went out in '85. Agreed zonk for the chrome molding on this trim, black moldings would have went very well with this color and the black wheels. Honda likely didn't want to slow the production line with another bin of optional moldings to keep costs down.
They should’ve discontinued the 2.0T once they had a replacement for the performance model.
New K5, Camry, and Sonata coming soon. Might want to wait 6 months to evaluate the new competition.
That new Sonata looks amazing
Camry will probably eat the Accords lunch.
Because of this new accord, toyota push back the redesign to 2025 😂😂😂. No need to redesign yet
2024 is last year for K5. Nothing new, carryover.Sadly.
He is by far the funniest car reviewer on TH-cam.
That means so much!
Love the Accord, just wish it came with AWD. I have to ZONK that! Haha!
After watching your Camry video I rewatched this one, and to me this is a better looking car.
I want to put urban gray pearl side by side with sonic gray pearl on the Si and try to detect the shade difference
I did this. The sonic grey has more of a blue undertone to it. The pearl in sonic grey is green and is less noticeable than the gold pearl in urban grey.
Urban is slightly darker and has much less blue undertone than sonic.
Those type r accords gonna be cult classics
