    Here we jet wash the flat concrete tiles on this roof using around 100 bar through a turbo nozzle.
    Then we soft washed to kill off any remaining algae, moss or lichen and also to brighten up the tiles.
    This roof ended up looking almost new, with one very happy customer once the whole roof was completed.

    Amazing job well done 👏🏼 I’ve just ordered myself a wfp conversion kit tonight.. usually I scrape and biocide at the end but actually hated doing roofs because it’s so bloody hard work- this should change the game and customers should be a lot happier with instant results 😜

    09/5 23, Sodium Hypochlorite - isn't that Bleach ? Is there a final coating for concrete roof tiles ? How long does a good clean last ? If the roof is'nt too bad can it be done with a hose pipe & pressured water ?

    Hi mate results look brilliant, just wondering why you would hypo after pressure washing? its already achieved perfect results by the looks of it. wouldnt it be more worth the time to bio instead if youre hoping to prevent anything growing back.

    • @PrestigeExternalCleaning
      @PrestigeExternalCleaning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hi, thanks for your comment! I hypo to brighten the tiles and "polish" them off so they look near perfect (the camera doesn't show the darker, patchy appearance of the tiles) plus it kills off any tiny bits of moss, algae or lichen left behind, insuring the roof stays looking better for much longer. Technically hypo can also be classed a biocide. I've got nothing against using bio like Algoclear Pro or Bac50, they're great products, I use them when I need to. The issue I have with them is that most biocides need 12-24 hours to be fully effective, and with our good old English weather, the risk of rain diluting the bio can be a real problem. It's extremely difficult to clean and bio a roof in winter without the bio getting diluted or even washed off, effecting the results or having to re-apply it.
      Neither hypo or bio stop anything growing back, they just kill what's there dead, so it has to re-grow from scratch, which takes many, many years, but of course can vary depending on the environment.
      To cut a long story short, I favour hypo over bio because hypo kills all organic matter dead and burns itself out within a hour or two, so it doesn't matter if it rains after that. Bio, while it's a great product, doesn't give quick results (which most of my customers want) and can be risky, due to being caught out by the rain, especially in winter.

      @@buddybrown2965 I don’t think it really matters what brand is used, but would recommend it being carbon fibre.
