Juan Roman Riquelme is one of the best footballers of all time. Football has fallen today, yes the players are running faster and the game is quicker but boy oh boy the technical aspect of the game which brings entertainment has diminished and it will only get worse.
Juan Roman Riquelme is one of the best footballers of all time, 7th on my list with Pele on his own planet followed by Ronaldo R9, Maradona, Ronaldinho and Messi and Cruyff.
Pele certainly not in his own planet, but yes good list. Unfortunately R9 a bit lower for me as we only say him at his best till aged 21, which is far, far too young.

Pele participated in four world cups, won three, scored 2 goals in the semi finals and two again in the final at 17 years of age, the best player, over 1330 career goals, skill, speed, technique, intelligence and more.. Like I said, Pele is out on his own with R9 second on my list and Maradona and Ronaldinho in third and fourth. Roman Riquelme is 7th on my list. Sad that the 10 position died when Roman retired,he was a world class player, legendary with high intelligence, skills, ability to control football tempo, find the killer pass and great ball retention, fee kicks and much more.
