I believe that Nala's father is THERE in the movie, just off-screen most of the time. Then during Scar's reign he was killed by Scar after he defied him or threatened him. That's probably why Nala "left to find help".
The only thing that could be used as an explanation would be the Lion guard....I don't really see the benefits of the show's destruction of Scar's character, but it says that he killed off the Lion guard (which was only shown to be comprised of male lions)

Real male lions do leave the pride when they're old enough to start new prides. So it would make sense if Nala’s father was a male lion that mated with her mother and left to start a new pride. And since real lion prides have at most two male alpha lions (at least to my knowledge), those roles were filled by Mufasa and Scar. So I think it makes the most sense that Nala’s father left to start his own pride

Thanks for discussing this. I knew it couldn't be Scar because he would either try to elevate Nala or kill her. The fact that he didn't do that is proof Nala is unrelated to him. A popular fan theory puts Nala's father as a member of Scar's lion guard, and so he died when Scar used the roar against them. But it's just a fan theory atm, there are no clue in favor or against this, so it's just a possibility.

Being the huuugely obsessed little girl I was, I was gifted the Lion King dvd set with the second disc included that had directors commentary and extras from artists and research team's input towards the making of the film. It had those dvd mini games too, you remember those?? Also, I was very into animal planet and big cat diaries. This has given me intimate knowledge on lion behaviors and pride dynamics. The film actually did take a lot from actual animal kingdom facts. Such as, most prides are ruled by 1 or 2 male lions usually related/siblings and 1 alpha female. The males are usually kicked from their original prides after they get too old as they are a threat to dear old dad's top spot. They then usually travel together for a bit just learning how to survive, and maybe seduce a few lioness' that belong to other prides, until one day they become strong enough and smart enough to challenge a weakening ruling male and they take over his pride. Usually they determine which of the brothers will become the more dominant ruler immediately after taking over, even fighting again to have thel sole mating rights. The winner might still keep his brother in the pride for extra muscle in case any new brother lions try to team up against him, but only if the sibling falls in line. Now as I said before, sometimes these young brothers would have seduced lioness' earlier on in their wandering souls phase. Well, their new pride lioness' can still fall for other wanderers and lead secret lives, meeting up with their secret lovers, and get pregnant! And then they trick their pride rulers into thinking they've gotten pregnant with THEIR young, and they end up raising some other lion's offspring. While usually it is the lesser brother that does the secret relationship stuff, it hasn't been uncommon for a young lioness to just run off with some young strange lion, never to see him again. This is portrayed in the Lion King films as well as Mufasa was definitely hording sole rights to mate, and as soon as Scar overthrew him he attempted to establish mating rights with multiple members of the pride such as Sarabi, Zira, and in early story planning Nala as well. Nala follows the "secretly has secret relationship in secret" when she runs off and finds the wandering Simba. I personally believe that is a trait passed down to her from her mother who probably did the same thing making neither Mufasa nor Scar Nala's paternal donor.
Do remember that Simba was originally meant to be king and Nala was meant to be with him from the beginning anyway. That and the ran she ran away was because scar was trying to give himself onto her.

I'm seriously enjoying your videos! I think that the way you explain things actually makes a lot of sense. I've often wondered about Simba's family and the history. I love how you also explained a lot of the African lore presented in the movies.
I like to believe Ni is Nala's father. Since there is usually only one or two male lions in a pride, ani might have left to go start his own pride. Like some male lions do after leaving some cubs of his own. For them three is crowd. However, this also means the Nala's father left them which sucks.
Well, outside of the Ni part, it makes sense. Biggest thing is that prides actually can easily have 1-6 males and a lot of the times coalitions tend to be best when larger, which is why young males may ban together in higher numbers now. That being said, sometimes coalitions can split actually due to tension in breeding rights as normally only a single, mayyyyyybe one other, male actually will be able to breed freely while any others will need to either sneak it or just not be allowed to breed.

I cannot believe that you are nearly at your goal, Issac. You should be proud of yourself. =) I think Nala's father was a rogue lion; it could not possibly be Scar. I found a few stories that Lion King fans believe that Scar was Nala's stalker and father to one of her cubs which is Vianti from Lion King 2. According to a few of them, it was said that after Mufasa's death, Nala was forced to become Scar's mate whilst she was still a cub and in time, she was pregnant with Vitani. When Vitani was born, Scar was angry that Nala's cub wasn't a male and he threatened to kill her. So, Nala decided to handed Vitani to Ziara because Nala trusted her. Afterwards, Nala left the pridelands to find help - and Vitani never knew Nala was her real mother. It was never relieved. Yeah, the story and Nala and Scar is a little creepy... I'm sure there will be a story about Nala's father. I bet the Lion King Guard will include at some point or there maybe more fan fiction stories heading our way. =)
Maribel Ramirez Toledo I watched some fan animations with the same story. it is a bit disturbing but I keep rewatching it only for one reason and that is to break it down and in way decipher the bigger details that some people may have left out and come up with possible new theories that could fit the story😃 it's a bit disturbing to watch over and over but I'm sooo close to figuring out how that is very highly possible and I'm not sure on this but in the Lion King 2 Simba's Pride Vitani said "where's your pretty little daughter Nala?" And when Nala said "Vitani" in what seems like an angry way but if you listen to it over and over very carefully then you can hear a little bit of regret in Nala's voice!! And like I said I'm not quite sure on this and if this could be possible but if you think about it...it really does make a lot of sense!
Ok so yah I agree with some of this but in a deleted scene scar tried to force Nala to be his mate because he releazied he needed a heir to his throne of course she refused and she was banished which sent her to finding simba
articwolfgirl wolfgirl that is true....now that you mention it I remember seeing another fan animation and fan made story on that...if you look Scars Story on TH-cam you will come up with multiple TH-cam video with different stores within the videos and the same goes to Nala's Story. I also researched Simba and Mufasa's story and each video of them as well and some of them do fit in with both my theory and this video as well as Vitani's story and within all of these I've found bits and pieces that fit in with this....I'm very close to finding out not only who Nala's father is but also Kovu cuz if Nala and Kovu are Scars kids then the would make them brother and sister. Which brings me to another point of during the part about Kovu's exile you can see a worried look on Nala's face as if she were about to cry. I have yet to watch the rest of the videos and so far I've gone through at least 50 videos of all these and I'm still not done but as soon as I get everything together in my mind I will be making a video on it 😃

I feel that Nala’s father was killed by Scar, which is why we don’t see him in the first lion king. Nala’s father was also Mufasa’s best friend, as exile lions make coalitions with other exile lions not just with brothers, to form or take over a pride. Nala’s father was the 3rd male lion of the pride.
I think it was a rogue lion that was Nala's father Like Ni or possibly someone else in the Lion King: 6 new Adventures which even though it's not considered Canon I still count it I love Lion King Theories and this was great Your one of my favorite theorists :) :)

Mufasa didn't have his lion guard, only second born can be a lider of lion guard. But thanks to TLG we now know there always was at least 6 male lions (since no matter if firstborn is male or female, it is hair to throne) in Pride lands because there always were only lions in it, and Fuli is the first female ever in the Lion Guard.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up. If Nala's Father wasn't killed by Scar then he did leave the tribe before or shortly after Nala was born. I haven't watched very many episodes of TLG.
batmanfanforever08 the most likely conclusion is that like kovu he was accepted into the pride after mating with nalas mother, and due to being a possible threat to scars throne he killed the lion
Nice to know Nala’s dad has somewhat been identified! I would have never known since I don’t watch the Lion Guard. I did watch the first episode but I didn’t know it was for Disney Junior...Me and my nephew were disappointed lol.

I like to think that Nala's father lived in the pride lands and was friends with Mufasa, and was excited to have a cub with Sarafina. He wanted a daughter. But he sadly died fighting a rouge lion while traveling and didn't live to see his cub.

It has to be scar or Mufasa because in a pride they’re around 1-4 male lions that are always siblings because they want to pass on their genes. Plus they said “That’s kions grandfather” wouldn’t that made it mufasa?
There is another channel called Slothastic who made a video about the Lion King family tree. They state that there were THREE prides: The outlanders, the Grasslanders, and the Pride Landers. They ALSO state that Sarabi is from the grasslands pride, but had to run away when the outlanders invaded and took over the grasslands. Also, the video states that they found pride rock, and Mufasas father let them stay.
It's totally possible that Nala' s mother got pregnant with her by a stray, loner lion. Unless the director and/or the creators of the story say otherwise, we'll never know and can do nothing but speculate. But yeah I have almost always thought that Nala' s father was a stray, loner lion who only stayed with the pride long enough to get her mother pregnant and then left for fear of being killed by the king of that pride which was Mufasa.
When they released a updated DVD of the lion king...i think diamond editor.. .I forget but they added like...deleted scenes that were never made into the movie and one of them was scar hitting on nala...it made me so spooked but also concerned bec of the fact of the rumors of scar being nala's father....lol...btw I love this theory video :D
I thought about it after watching a few videos about this & I think I found the answer. Nala's dad died or was chased off because he ruled pride rock before mufasa and scar she was the last baby of the previous king. So, Mufasa decided to let Serephina keep Nala without banishing her on the condition that if the baby is a girl she needs to marry his son. It even explains the line in the deleted scene about "royalty in every Gene" & the fact that they are engaged as young cubs.
I watched a video called the lion king family tree. It said that taka married Sarafina, but one day when he was taking a walk with his mother, uru suddenly died. This lead to Ahadi (his father) believing that taka killed uru so he swiped him with his claw giving him his scar. Then scar ran away into hiding, giving Sarabi no choice but to chose another mate. His name was Xenzou. They both had a daughter named Nala.

This is portrayed in the Lion King films as well as Mufasa was definitely hording sole rights to mate, and as soon as Scar overthrew him he attempted to establish mating rights with multiple members of the pride such as Sarabi, Zira, and in early story planning Nala as well.
Nala follows the "secretly has secret relationship in secret" when she runs off and finds the wandering Simba. I personally believe that is a trait passed down to her from her mother who probably did the same thing making neither Mufasa nor Scar Nala's paternal donor.
Do remember that Simba was originally meant to be king and Nala was meant to be with him from the beginning anyway.
That and the ran she ran away was because scar was trying to give himself onto her.

I'm seriously enjoying your videos! I think that the way you explain things actually makes a lot of sense. I've often wondered about Simba's family and the history. I love how you also explained a lot of the African lore presented in the movies.
I like to believe Ni is Nala's father. Since there is usually only one or two male lions in a pride, ani might have left to go start his own pride. Like some male lions do after leaving some cubs of his own. For them three is crowd. However, this also means the Nala's father left them which sucks.

Well, outside of the Ni part, it makes sense. Biggest thing is that prides actually can easily have 1-6 males and a lot of the times coalitions tend to be best when larger, which is why young males may ban together in higher numbers now. That being said, sometimes coalitions can split actually due to tension in breeding rights as normally only a single, mayyyyyybe one other, male actually will be able to breed freely while any others will need to either sneak it or just not be allowed to breed.

I think Nala's father was a rogue lion; it could not possibly be Scar. I found a few stories that Lion King fans believe that Scar was Nala's stalker and father to one of her cubs which is Vianti from Lion King 2. According to a few of them, it was said that after Mufasa's death, Nala was forced to become Scar's mate whilst she was still a cub and in time, she was pregnant with Vitani. When Vitani was born, Scar was angry that Nala's cub wasn't a male and he threatened to kill her. So, Nala decided to handed Vitani to Ziara because Nala trusted her. Afterwards, Nala left the pridelands to find help - and Vitani never knew Nala was her real mother. It was never relieved.
Yeah, the story and Nala and Scar is a little creepy...
I'm sure there will be a story about Nala's father. I bet the Lion King Guard will include at some point or there maybe more fan fiction stories heading our way. =)

Maribel Ramirez Toledo I watched some fan animations with the same story. it is a bit disturbing but I keep rewatching it only for one reason and that is to break it down and in way decipher the bigger details that some people may have left out and come up with possible new theories that could fit the story😃 it's a bit disturbing to watch over and over but I'm sooo close to figuring out how that is very highly possible and I'm not sure on this but in the Lion King 2 Simba's Pride Vitani said "where's your pretty little daughter Nala?" And when Nala said "Vitani" in what seems like an angry way but if you listen to it over and over very carefully then you can hear a little bit of regret in Nala's voice!! And like I said I'm not quite sure on this and if this could be possible but if you think about it...it really does make a lot of sense!

articwolfgirl wolfgirl that is true....now that you mention it I remember seeing another fan animation and fan made story on that...if you look Scars Story on TH-cam you will come up with multiple TH-cam video with different stores within the videos and the same goes to Nala's Story. I also researched Simba and Mufasa's story and each video of them as well and some of them do fit in with both my theory and this video as well as Vitani's story and within all of these I've found bits and pieces that fit in with this....I'm very close to finding out not only who Nala's father is but also Kovu cuz if Nala and Kovu are Scars kids then the would make them brother and sister. Which brings me to another point of during the part about Kovu's exile you can see a worried look on Nala's face as if she were about to cry. I have yet to watch the rest of the videos and so far I've gone through at least 50 videos of all these and I'm still not done but as soon as I get everything together in my mind I will be making a video on it 😃

Nala's father is probably some rogue lion that was taken in by the tribe for a little bit and then left. He was probably a member of Mufasa's or Scar's lion guard. If you was member of Scar's lion guard that means he's dead.

Mufasa didn't have his lion guard, only second born can be a lider of lion guard. But thanks to TLG we now know there always was at least 6 male lions (since no matter if firstborn is male or female, it is hair to throne) in Pride lands because there always were only lions in it, and Fuli is the first female ever in the Lion Guard.

Let’s just take a moment to imagine if The Lion King was called King Of The Jungle
It has to be scar or Mufasa because in a pride they’re around 1-4 male lions that are always siblings because they want to pass on their genes. Plus they said “That’s kions grandfather” wouldn’t that made it mufasa?
There is another channel called Slothastic who made a video about the Lion King family tree. They state that there were THREE prides: The outlanders, the Grasslanders, and the Pride Landers. They ALSO state that Sarabi is from the grasslands pride, but had to run away when the outlanders invaded and took over the grasslands. Also, the video states that they found pride rock, and Mufasas father let them stay.
It's totally possible that Nala' s mother got pregnant with her by a stray, loner lion. Unless the director and/or the creators of the story say otherwise, we'll never know and can do nothing but speculate. But yeah I have almost always thought that Nala' s father was a stray, loner lion who only stayed with the pride long enough to get her mother pregnant and then left for fear of being killed by the king of that pride which was Mufasa.
When they released a updated DVD of the lion king...i think diamond editor.. .I forget but they added like...deleted scenes that were never made into the movie and one of them was scar hitting on nala...it made me so spooked but also concerned bec of the fact of the rumors of scar being nala's father....lol...btw I love this theory video :D

I thought about it after watching a few videos about this & I think I found the answer. Nala's dad died or was chased off because he ruled pride rock before mufasa and scar she was the last baby of the previous king. So, Mufasa decided to let Serephina keep Nala without banishing her on the condition that if the baby is a girl she needs to marry his son. It even explains the line in the deleted scene about "royalty in every Gene" & the fact that they are engaged as young cubs.

I watched a video called the lion king family tree. It said that taka married Sarafina, but one day when he was taking a walk with his mother, uru suddenly died. This lead to Ahadi (his father) believing that taka killed uru so he swiped him with his claw giving him his scar. Then scar ran away into hiding, giving Sarabi no choice but to chose another mate. His name was Xenzou. They both had a daughter named Nala.
