@@soulsofwar8985 he actually doesn't kill them on purpose, he heals them after skinning them so they can be skinned again. It takes a long time for a human to get big enough for a useful parchment harvest, so he only feeds them the ones who die of stress, old age, and other natural causes. A lot of them die of "natural causes".
It’s literally this very fact about this series that makes me love it so much 😭 like deadass Ainz is incapable of doing anything wrong in their eyes and it’s the most hilarious thing in anime.
Thinking about it, demiurge as a role play character makes sense given the fact that his creator was more interested in a romanticised evil villain rather than a pvp monster.
Actually, im pretty sure that in one of the LN ending notes its specified both Tabula and Ulbert had specifically made their builds for MAXIMUM BURST DAMAGE/Nova-ing, probably being a multiclass savant-ificer psibomber (aka hacking both items and the turn economy) and sorclock (Hellfire-Theurge technically but whatever same shit) respectively.
Yamato Ulbert is stronger than Ainz in terms of destructive power.. in the LN, Touch me was the only one Ainz can't beat.. Yeah Ulbert was stronger because of his build but has drawbacks.. In my opinion in terms of PVP Ainz vs Ulbert.. my bet is on Ainz.
the thing about demiurge is that Ulbert made him in the image of Ainz's roleplay build since Ulbert thought Ainz build was cool despite lacking manpower compared to themselves.
Demiurge's outfit isn't really something important. Demiurge said it himself back in volume 10 that he has more than 10 sets of the same outfit that he wears
So? Your Armor can look however you want. Those could easily still be outstanding equipment and still look like a normal suit. It was pretty much expected that anyone in the game would have multiple equipment sets to use

despite Demi being so intelligent, i think the hubris he possesses from being a creation of one of the Supreme Beings gives him a massive weakness: he is most likely unwilling to learn from beings he perceives as weaker than himself. Whereas Ainz has clearly been learning huge amounts of tactical and command based information from nearly every creature he comes into contact with. One of the main reasons Ainz was able to shitstomp Shaltear when he switched to melee was because of the data he collected from Clementine (that and the fact he could switch gear based on his desired level of aggression) Ainz's true power, the thing that makes him stronger than every NPC in Nazarick (besides his backpack full of gachapon items) is his adaptability and thirst for information, no matter how small, every discovery is worth something to him.
well, ainz could learn because he is not the most intelligent. demiurge is tho... after all he plans all the extras where ainz just simply walks in and hopes for the best ( not entirely but kinda). Demiurge IS the most intelligent in Nazarik, he is the battle commander
The reason why Ainz was able to shitstomp shalltear was because he knew EVERY SINGLE ONE of shalltear's skills and weapons. He said it so himself, aside from Pandora's Actor, Shalltear was the next floor guardian that he knew best, this is because Peroroncino and Momonga were very close. Add to the fact that Ainz has actual PvP experience with real players that could adapt to every situation and he had access to some of his friend's divine class items, he would most likely stomp Shalltear
I think this is a misunderstanding of Demiurge because while he is extremely prideful (like all the inhabitants of Nazarick), he isn't above learning from the enemy because that would be dumb and he's smart. The matter of the fact is that he just correctly assumes everyone's plans, aside from Ains, whom he believes to be too smart for his comprehension, which is why he always assumes the smartest plan he could come up with that fits with Ains's action.
Maybe giving a demon lord hubris wasn't an accident, considering Ulbert was a big fan of interesting villains. He wouldn't just make a character without any weaknesses.
Isn't it stated that Ainz was good at PVP and strategizing, if I'm correct it's because he had to be to survive in Yddrasil since his build was rp focused and not power focused
I love how much you get to know the Guild members by their NPCs. Pero was huge into min/maxing and made the PvP focused Shaltear while Ulbert was huge into role play and made a literal devil lord in Demiurge. It really gives to an idea of what the guild members were like as players.
Demiurge in a mmo = That one dude that takes all the stun / buff / debuff spells and laughs as u fight a slime that is 4 times as stong as you when all the buffs/ debuffs are setup. 10/10
In the old days I played a game called Everquest. Once for fun i took my high level druid to a low level zone, proceeded to cast all my buff spells on a random animal then offer a prize to the low level player who could manage to kill it. This thing was a boss monster by the time I was done, with twice the hp and armor, extra damage, and a damage shield that would chew through any melee character dumb enough to attack it. It was a lot of fun, had plenty of takers till someone finally beat it.
I may be wrong but from what I remember, Demiurge does have a "true form," one that the other residents of Nazarick claim to be as "the most handsome," though personally I'd question the perspectives of other demons, vampires and other unholy terrors on their concept of "handsome."
It's truly handsome man, a hunky man but with horns, that form is stronger than Perfect warrior and disables his magic but he'll get powerful mellee damage, its been stated in the Webnovel.

jeronimo hernandez I think it’s volume 12? Or 13? Probably 13. That whole volume is pretty much an “are we the baddies meme.” There’s one chapter in particular where demiurge attacks the holy capitol of the holy empire, and when he gets “batted” away by one of the adamantine level warriors, I summons a wrath demon under the rubble, which makes it look like his “final” form. The wrath demon then says, “ i need a weapon, ah I found a perfect one.” Then proceedes to walk through a crowd of terrified soldiers who, much to there despair, can’t even scratch him and grabs the empires holy empress off of her horse. Then to the horror of the soldiers, the citizens, and the empress’s personal guards, uses her as a club to kill dozens of soldiers in a swing. When she tries to resist, the wrath demon beats pounds her face first into the ground. It was a little hard to read.
jeronimo hernandez it’s true that demiurge isn’t the “strongest” floor guardian, but this is still a character that can summon meteors to rain down from the heavens, and loves to do so with style.

I would love to play Yggdrasil as an actual Role Playing Game, all that liberty of classes and stuff, I really love the fact that there is basically no limit to character creation asthetics and a really large amount of playstyles to merge with it!
After watching your video I now understand why not only Demiurge is so popular, but also why he seem the most terrifying to face in a fight, despite being weaker than the other floor guardians. He is basically the nazarick versjon of a demon Batman!
Also Demi is basically an attempt by Ulbert to make Ainz. Ulbert can cast extremely powerful spells but is magic pool vanishes quickly because of them but Ainz has many useful spells even though Ainz isn’t nearly as strong and Ainz is a bulk of the reason they took over the Tomb. Ulbert was impressed but Ainz brushed it off thinking he wasn’t nearly as good as the Magical Badass Ulbert claimed he was. Then Ulbert made a Demon who was a jack of all trades, weaker but with high utility just like Ainz.
It's not misinformation, never did I state that anywhere that this was pointed out in the manga, anime or said by the writer that this is a fact. It's not even very relevant, other than it is a fun comparison. So... Demiurge is Batman. No seriously if Demiurge uses his intellect and prepares accordingly he can beat anyone, kinda sounds like batman in that respect, this just makes me like him more as a batman with joker level cruelty.

Yeah I'm actually interested in this. Considering the fact that Ani put a lot of focus on Demi's shapeshifting level, I wonder what Pandora's Actor's is, considering he can shapeshift into any of the old guild members.
Maybe Demiurge had a more mechanical use than you'd think. As a "commander", his use might have been as a sort of dedicated "minion controller". In D&D, you can't control an infinite amount of summons. You're limited by concentration and spell slots. Perhaps Demiurge's build was meant to hold strong control over as many minions as possible, so Ulbert didn't have to put too many levels into minion control himself. And that makes sense when you put it in the context of 1500 PC/NPC wars. Having someone to overview the battlefield and direct the forces in the right direction is as important as the power of your soldiers.
So, I’m two years late, but something just occurred to me. What if, perhaps, the shapeshifter job class was what gave him access to the aspect of the devil skill tree? I could see the devs implementing a certain job class that reads your racial class levels, and gives you specific skills accordingly. Like, if you were an angel, you’d get access to the “Blessings of the Lord” skill tree, and demons get “Aspect of the Devil.”
It's pretty simple, Demiurge was built to be a Jack of All Trades utility character. One that's extremely well rounded and can use its trickery to the maximum. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the unknown levels were trap or assassin-related. Then he can distract enemy A with his summoned creatures, assume the form of enemy A to get close to enemy B, then stab enemy B with pointy fingers.
Demiurge's suit was created as part of his design as an NPC as when Ainz and the floor guardians all go to the onsens Ainz noted that Demiurge was basically ripped and it says that you couldn't design what was under the clothes so it must've been written into his character description
Some other people have staited this but still in the side storys it was confirmed that demiurge has 3 forms and the third is the most evil form of the devil just trying to get the message across.
Since Ainz Ooal Gown wanted they’re NPC’s to have final forms and has a shape shifter classes, he has 3 different forms. His normal, imp and apparently a giant buff form
Daymi Not everyone gets to go to college. My school-years were for physical labour, painting and decoration, interior and exterior along with specialization in wood and marble imitations. Unfortunately the actual job was not something I could keep doing. I tried doing college after a few years of work, but the schools that teach manual labour jobs really have a very low bar for study. Easily said it did not work out, as going from nearly not studying at all and constantly working with your hands -> Learning, learning learning learning learning and constantly getting stuck as I also had a lot of catching up to do due to info I've never seen before that point. Considering I need money to survive, and I would rather eat all my paintbrushes and set myself on fire then ever do a job in painting again, This was the best solution. And to be fair its not that bad a job, along with the possibilities to grow further towards becoming a Forman, or even beyond that towards a Team-leader. There's a lot more crappy jobs you could end up doing with a lot less opportunities to grow. Along with that I have good colleague (something I'm very happy with compared to the uncivilised ego maniacs I was literally surrounded with on construction sites), I get my food on the table and I'm feeling relatively happy about the job, one need not ask for more that just that. (well ok, a bit more money never hurts.)
Demiurge actually has a final form. In the side story it was said he has 3 forms. 1 is default, second - a frog and third is his final form. It isn't clarified what it is capable of, but in the Web Novel we got to see his final form, where he was tall, horned, flamed and muscular demon, who is pretty much the strongest melee fighter, and it cost him disabling of all magic. It's like Perfect Warrior, but better.
His fighting style seemed very interesting in his one fight thus far in anime. A mix of opressive counter magic and high damage claws, blades and hellfire.
I hope that you would never stop uploading these Overlord related videos! Literally one of the things that had kept me quite interested with finishing the LN and the drama cd.

Demiurge actually has more than 7 Evil Lords/イビルロード based on the Seven Deadly Sins (in vol 1 there are actually several of each type in the first floor). You are mixing them with the 7 out of 12 demon of the zodiac/十二宮の悪魔 that he mentions in the Messenger of the King side-story and who are named after the 12 angel zodiac, possibly indicating that they are custom NPCs unlike the Evil Lords who are mercenaries. Nigel's retranslation of the scene in vol 1 may lead to confusion, but both Sky's original translation and YP (as well as the original Japanese) have a very different scene, having the '3 types of demons' changed to '3 demons of each type'. In the manga you can also see that Demiurge has several demons of the same type in that scene.
Djinnfor's Edits & Corrections: * For some reason I wrote that Demiurge could only summon a single evil lord near the end of the script, despite correctly saying in the beginning of the script that he could summon mass quantities of lower-leveled demons. I don't really know why I made this mistake; I'm going to blame it on me being tired at the time. * Demiurge's "winged frog" form is called a "half-demon" form in the light novel. Forgot to check Volume 1 - I saw the shapeshifter levels and just assumed this was how he was transforming himself, because why else would he have them? It's actually the result of one of his demon race levels (Imp, probably) and not the result of his shapeshifter class. At this point I really don't know what his shapeshifter class levels are for if he's not using them to transform himself. Demons in general can change their appearance, presumably having one distinct form for each distinct racial class they have; this is what I thought was the case, and why I explained that Albedo could transform into a Nalfeshnee, but I couldn't remember how exactly I came to that understanding - I don't exactly memorize the contents of every novel. Turns out it was explained right in volume 1 the first time it happened, but seeing Demiurge explicitly listed as having shapeshifter levels just threw me off. * Whether Demiurge has a proper "final form" or not is unknown; he faked having one in volume 12 and 13 (see 8:38). He apparently has another form that's quite powerful-looking ("manly"?), involving his most "wicked Form of the Devil". I assumed this was a mistranslation of "Aspect of the Devil", in that he uses one or more of his Aspect of the Devil abilities to make his entire body become physically imposing and boost his physical combat stats, but in retrospect it sounds more like it's a proper transformation and not just a buff ability. * Yes, Demiurge did at one point wield a "weapon", but jokes aside, mentioning it would be a big spoiler. That and he probably wasn't the one wielding it - again see 8:38 One more thing: Ulbert apparently thought that Ainz' build was pretty cool, and may have been influenced by it while creating Demiurge. Ainz was primarily a necromancer, but he also had an abnormally large number of spells (700 versus the normal maximum of 300) because of one of his classes, allowing him to be quite versatile and adaptive; Demiurge was built to be a mass summoner of devils who also had a lot of generalist spells and abilities
I think it should also be considered that he has some form of Bardic and Leadership classes, which would account for his commanding voice ability and could provide him with the ability to buff his minions and/or his companions. also, the Shapeshifter class could have been a prerequisite for his Aspect of the Devil abilities.

CaptainCarmine I think the horns are just normal items that when certain things are met summons more goblins. The game is about secrets and some classes skills ect only work when something’s are met so why not items. Just a guess could be wrong

He would be the third or second strongest NPC in all of Nazarik in my opinion he can transform into any of the guild members of AOG and use about 80% of there power but can't use there super tier spells and he can change his classes and stats and he could replace everyone or do everyone jobs in the tomb cause of his class changes and he was known as the guild's final trump card.
@@ironheart4375 She is strongest NPC of all of Nazarik but she is more of a close combat specialist where PA could change his stats and abilities to fight different types of enemies.

I mean. He can summon demons using the ulberts statue that ainz gave him but also his orginal summon IS a one demon he can just split to multple forms.

Demiurge is a floor guardian appointed to guard the 7th floor. Strength wise Demiurge is actually one of the weakest guardians. He ranks just above Aura and Victim. But of-course victim would rank the lowest as he is not even level 100 and Aura's strength relies on her beasts. Author Q&A Shalltear Bloodfallen - undead; strongest floor guardian; 1st place (best in 1v1 battle) Mare Bello Fiore - best magic power; afraid of insects Albedo - best defense power; can tank Super-tier magic without damage Cocytus - best offence when equipped with a weapon Gargantua - highest stats but have no intelligence Demiurge - most intelligent and most evil; physical abilities are weak (weakest among the guardians) Aura Bella Fiora - strongest in group battle; weakest in 1v1 battle Victim - best in "confinement" or "restriction"; non-combative Funny thing is Guren, an area guardian under Demiurge could fight evenly with some floor guardians. This slime monster uses its terrain (lava) to its advantage and even pulls unsuspecting victims into it. This slime monster is only level 90. Demiurge could only cast a very small number of spells; there was only one other tenth tier spell available to him. His true power lay in his skills, and while he had used that spell just now to conserve his strength, the scene before his eyes was sufficiently tragic as it was. It is stated that Demiurge's doesn't have a-lot of spells, instead uses skills. Firstly let me say that Wiki has unsourced information about his 'Aspect of the devil' series being a spell. Demiurge used one of this series, [Aspect of the Devil - Stout Demon's Gigantic Arms] and called it a Skill in Drama CD 1. Known skills/spells used by Demiurge: "[Command Mantra]" Demiurge could control beings level 40 and below through this skill as shown with the lizardmen however with an item level 40 and above you can resist it. This is a skill used in vol 4 + Vol 9 and possibly off-screen and is a passive "[Frost of Judaca]" ... stops the target's time. The surrounding time itself does not stop. Used against Zy'tl Q'ae in Drama CD 1 this is a skill "[Flame of Gehenna]" ... Creates a huge flame wall. There is no damage even if one touches it, making it an illusion. Unknown if this is a skill or a spell, never stated. Most likely a spell "[Flames of hell]" ... Uses hellfire to strengthen fire type-damage, this negates fire immunity.Never stated if it's a spell or skill. Used in Season 2 and vol 6 "[Dimensional lock] This seals the surrounding space to not allow transfer and teleportation. A skill only used by the highest angels and demons. This is a skill vol 6 and season 2(edited) "[Hellfire wall]" range attack that summons a slash/wall like flame and hits your enemy. This does not do any physical damage. Wiki says that it seems to burn the soul but this was speculation from Evileyes POV. Used in Vol 6/Season 2 against Gagaran and Tia and wiki seems to have listed it as a 7th tier most likely due to wrath having a similar spell called hellflame which is 7th tier, listed in vol 13, this was used in season 2 and vol 6 "Meteor Fall" This is a 10th tier spell and one of the only two 10th tier spells of Demiurge. It Spawns a huge meteor to fall on a designated area. This is a 10th tier spell “[Aspect of the Devil - Giant Arm of the Demon].”... Activates the transformation ability only to the arms and enlarges the arms.This is a skill used vol6 and Season2 "[Aspects of the devil: sharp claws]" ... Activates claws that extend from the nails.This is a skill vol6 "[Aspect of the Devil: Tentacle Wings]" ... Activates wings as a devil's ability to transform and shoot sharp tiny tentacles. This is a skill vol6 "[Aspect of the Demon: Hellfire Mantle]"... Activates and wraps the demon in hellfire that acts as armour. This is a skill vol6, Season 2 "[Aspects of the devil: Eight-limb of Speed]" ... Activates and grants the user increased speed This is a askill used in Drama CD1 "[Unkown skill]" Demiurge can summon a large number of demons he considers low level and could also summon higher levels demons just that the numbers would decrease. This is a skill vol 12(edited) "[Evil lord summons]"... Once every 50 hours Demiurge can summon an evil lord. He had summoned an evil lord wrath, which was level 84. It is a physical fighter with very high HP. Evil lord wrath were a headached because of hate values. Hate value is similar to aggro just that hate value needed to be managed or else wrath would go off target. Also evil lord wraths had the special ability of doing more damage and gaining more defense the higher its hate value became. Still, that was not too frightening. The only thing that one had to worried about was its ability called 「Soul-Bought Miracle」, this ability let it use any spell of and under 8th tier. So an evil wrath could use this to heal itself with a spell. Also Evil lords wraths spells are: Tenth tier spells: 「Meteor Fall」, 「Time Stop」, 「Field of Unclean」 Ninth tier spells: 「Greater Rejection」, 「Vermillion Nova」 Eighth tier spells: 「Distort Moral」, 「Insanity」, 「Astral Smite」, 「Wave of Pain」 Seventh tier spells: 「Napalm」, 「Hellflame」, 「Greater Word of Curse」, 「Greater Teleportation」, 「Blasphemy」 Sixth tier spells: 「Flamewing」. 「Wall of Hell」 Third tier spells: 「Fireball」, 「Slow」 Skills aren't spells
@@crushproblems1774 The part of the author's Q&A which he is referring to only lists the strength of the Floor Guardians. There is a sepparate list for all entities which includes Touch Me, Rubedo and Sebas for example.
Dang it! I’m equally excited and possibly hugely let down based on the reasoning of this video of Demiurge’s true power. He’s my favorite character. Although, his indirect powers might be an underestimated power very directly powerful beings may not be prepared for. Awesome video 👏 👏 👏
as far as i see it, his build is designed to be a jack of all trades in the ultimate sense. he has lvl 100 resist to debuffs and abnormal methods of damage so you can't give him a weakness either. meanwhile, he can buff himself in a specific area and use minions. not counting the obvious aoe spells he has shown to be capable of. hellfire wall, voice command, etc. the guy is the perfect utility/crowd controller in the group. even potentially a tank against debuffs and special damage types.
You know what I love about your anime channel? You have a good voice for it, you seem to do your homework and speak on your subject while keeping it succinct yet as informative as possible. And the number one reason, you aren't inept at recording your voice. Seems like a common issue.
Also all the floors were pretty good defensively not just the 8th floor they all did have broken n.p.c as well as decorative ones and they all exploited the game most players who came alone sould be taken out in the first floor where as most raid parties would be taken out in the 6th floor and only once were enemies able to bypass the 6th and 7th floor and make it to the 8th also a good example of the guild exploiting the game in the earlier floors would be the teleporting traps in the 1st and second floor which can teleport enemies to dangerous locations and separate them by scending them to different locations also the curtains in shaltears room prevent enemies from moving properly as well as seing properly restricting large raid parties and making it hard for them to fight as the curtains get in the way this information is from the side story the emissary of the king.
Yes its true you can create a 30 foot tall firery n.p.c but the form we saw of him in the light novels was just wrath also demi has been confirmed in a side story to have 3 forms and his third form being the most evil form of the devil.

I assume 10 of Demiurge's other levels were in Wordcaster as when he uses words to make people do things it always felt like he was using Words of Power since there doesn't appear to be any casting glyphs or magical glows particularly when he does so. Since Words of Power also have per day limits like spells.
Something about this reminded me of a clown demon (from demon lord, retry around episode 8) and I've been scowering the intier internet for the information of where that clown was from and it took me over an hour and once I found out where it was from I was so relieved
About the shapeshifting ability, lemme say my theory. As i played many games, theres a rule that is kinda widespread, classes who use a ton of skills that cover lots of situations are a little too hard to master, an example would be the "Fly" skill from magician class, it's hard to master and the air mobility is good but not great, the wings that a shapeshifter produce are a form of specialized fly who has increased agility on midair, so that's a step up from the commonplace fly, that said, this extra agility would be a powerful advantage over the fly skill. Well, that's what i think about it.
That 1500 invation always send chills down my spine. I wish they give it even just 1 episode as a flashback. I can just imagine how they crush the confidence of those 1500 players thinking that they can overwhelm nazarick.

Well he does have a final form, the first is his default look, second is his frog one, and third, probably one of the strongest form amongst the three as an archdevil. The reason as to why he has multiple true forms was probably an inspiration that Ulbert has for Momonga's build that specializes in none.
Considering his genius cunning and single handedly masterminding complex schemes with the means to puppet hoards of demons and slip away when things go wrong. Hes an S tier villain
demiurges domain from what i remember in the novel, it is a fiery hell with the floor having mouths that casts instant-death spells and the whole room in every 10 mins it disables flight or float spells so enemies will fall on the surface and get burned, chomped and get a barrage instant-death spells just from the enviornment while fighting demiurge and his demons

Thinking about it, demiurge as a role play character makes sense given the fact that his creator was more interested in a romanticised evil villain rather than a pvp monster.
Actually, im pretty sure that in one of the LN ending notes its specified both Tabula and Ulbert had specifically made their builds for MAXIMUM BURST DAMAGE/Nova-ing, probably being a multiclass savant-ificer psibomber (aka hacking both items and the turn economy) and sorclock (Hellfire-Theurge technically but whatever same shit) respectively.

Yamato Ulbert is stronger than Ainz in terms of destructive power.. in the LN, Touch me was the only one Ainz can't beat.. Yeah Ulbert was stronger because of his build but has drawbacks.. In my opinion in terms of PVP Ainz vs Ulbert.. my bet is on Ainz.

Demiurge's outfit isn't really something important. Demiurge said it himself back in volume 10 that he has more than 10 sets of the same outfit that he wears
So? Your Armor can look however you want. Those could easily still be outstanding equipment and still look like a normal suit. It was pretty much expected that anyone in the game would have multiple equipment sets to use

despite Demi being so intelligent, i think the hubris he possesses from being a creation of one of the Supreme Beings gives him a massive weakness: he is most likely unwilling to learn from beings he perceives as weaker than himself. Whereas Ainz has clearly been learning huge amounts of tactical and command based information from nearly every creature he comes into contact with. One of the main reasons Ainz was able to shitstomp Shaltear when he switched to melee was because of the data he collected from Clementine (that and the fact he could switch gear based on his desired level of aggression) Ainz's true power, the thing that makes him stronger than every NPC in Nazarick (besides his backpack full of gachapon items) is his adaptability and thirst for information, no matter how small, every discovery is worth something to him.
well, ainz could learn because he is not the most intelligent. demiurge is tho... after all he plans all the extras where ainz just simply walks in and hopes for the best ( not entirely but kinda). Demiurge IS the most intelligent in Nazarik, he is the battle commander
The reason why Ainz was able to shitstomp shalltear was because he knew EVERY SINGLE ONE of shalltear's skills and weapons. He said it so himself, aside from Pandora's Actor, Shalltear was the next floor guardian that he knew best, this is because Peroroncino and Momonga were very close. Add to the fact that Ainz has actual PvP experience with real players that could adapt to every situation and he had access to some of his friend's divine class items, he would most likely stomp Shalltear
I think this is a misunderstanding of Demiurge because while he is extremely prideful (like all the inhabitants of Nazarick), he isn't above learning from the enemy because that would be dumb and he's smart. The matter of the fact is that he just correctly assumes everyone's plans, aside from Ains, whom he believes to be too smart for his comprehension, which is why he always assumes the smartest plan he could come up with that fits with Ains's action.
Maybe giving a demon lord hubris wasn't an accident, considering Ulbert was a big fan of interesting villains. He wouldn't just make a character without any weaknesses.

I love how much you get to know the Guild members by their NPCs. Pero was huge into min/maxing and made the PvP focused Shaltear while Ulbert was huge into role play and made a literal devil lord in Demiurge. It really gives to an idea of what the guild members were like as players.

In the old days I played a game called Everquest. Once for fun i took my high level druid to a low level zone, proceeded to cast all my buff spells on a random animal then offer a prize to the low level player who could manage to kill it. This thing was a boss monster by the time I was done, with twice the hp and armor, extra damage, and a damage shield that would chew through any melee character dumb enough to attack it. It was a lot of fun, had plenty of takers till someone finally beat it.

I may be wrong but from what I remember, Demiurge does have a "true form," one that the other residents of Nazarick claim to be as "the most handsome," though personally I'd question the perspectives of other demons, vampires and other unholy terrors on their concept of "handsome."
It's truly handsome man, a hunky man but with horns, that form is stronger than Perfect warrior and disables his magic but he'll get powerful mellee damage, its been stated in the Webnovel.

That whole volume is pretty much an “are we the baddies meme.” There’s one chapter in particular where demiurge attacks the holy capitol of the holy empire, and when he gets “batted” away by one of the adamantine level warriors, I summons a wrath demon under the rubble, which makes it look like his “final” form. The wrath demon then says, “ i need a weapon, ah I found a perfect one.” Then proceedes to walk through a crowd of terrified soldiers who, much to there despair, can’t even scratch him and grabs the empires holy empress off of her horse. Then to the horror of the soldiers, the citizens, and the empress’s personal guards, uses her as a club to kill dozens of soldiers in a swing. When she tries to resist, the wrath demon beats pounds her face first into the ground. It was a little hard to read.
jeronimo hernandez it’s true that demiurge isn’t the “strongest” floor guardian, but this is still a character that can summon meteors to rain down from the heavens, and loves to do so with style.

Also Demi is basically an attempt by Ulbert to make Ainz. Ulbert can cast extremely powerful spells but is magic pool vanishes quickly because of them but Ainz has many useful spells even though Ainz isn’t nearly as strong and Ainz is a bulk of the reason they took over the Tomb. Ulbert was impressed but Ainz brushed it off thinking he wasn’t nearly as good as the Magical Badass Ulbert claimed he was. Then Ulbert made a Demon who was a jack of all trades, weaker but with high utility just like Ainz.

Yeah I'm actually interested in this. Considering the fact that Ani put a lot of focus on Demi's shapeshifting level, I wonder what Pandora's Actor's is, considering he can shapeshift into any of the old guild members.
Maybe Demiurge had a more mechanical use than you'd think. As a "commander", his use might have been as a sort of dedicated "minion controller". In D&D, you can't control an infinite amount of summons. You're limited by concentration and spell slots. Perhaps Demiurge's build was meant to hold strong control over as many minions as possible, so Ulbert didn't have to put too many levels into minion control himself. And that makes sense when you put it in the context of 1500 PC/NPC wars. Having someone to overview the battlefield and direct the forces in the right direction is as important as the power of your soldiers.

So, I’m two years late, but something just occurred to me. What if, perhaps, the shapeshifter job class was what gave him access to the aspect of the devil skill tree? I could see the devs implementing a certain job class that reads your racial class levels, and gives you specific skills accordingly. Like, if you were an angel, you’d get access to the “Blessings of the Lord” skill tree, and demons get “Aspect of the Devil.”
It's pretty simple, Demiurge was built to be a Jack of All Trades utility character. One that's extremely well rounded and can use its trickery to the maximum.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the unknown levels were trap or assassin-related. Then he can distract enemy A with his summoned creatures, assume the form of enemy A to get close to enemy B, then stab enemy B with pointy fingers.

Demiurge's suit was created as part of his design as an NPC as when Ainz and the floor guardians all go to the onsens Ainz noted that Demiurge was basically ripped and it says that you couldn't design what was under the clothes so it must've been written into his character description
Some other people have staited this but still in the side storys it was confirmed that demiurge has 3 forms and the third is the most evil form of the devil just trying to get the message across.

Not everyone gets to go to college.
My school-years were for physical labour, painting and decoration, interior and exterior along with specialization in wood and marble imitations.
Unfortunately the actual job was not something I could keep doing.
I tried doing college after a few years of work, but the schools that teach manual labour jobs really have a very low bar for study.
Easily said it did not work out, as going from nearly not studying at all and constantly working with your hands -> Learning, learning learning learning learning and constantly getting stuck as I also had a lot of catching up to do due to info I've never seen before that point.
Considering I need money to survive, and I would rather eat all my paintbrushes and set myself on fire then ever do a job in painting again, This was the best solution.
And to be fair its not that bad a job, along with the possibilities to grow further towards becoming a Forman, or even beyond that towards a Team-leader.
There's a lot more crappy jobs you could end up doing with a lot less opportunities to grow.
Along with that I have good colleague (something I'm very happy with compared to the uncivilised ego maniacs I was literally surrounded with on construction sites), I get my food on the table and I'm feeling relatively happy about the job, one need not ask for more that just that. (well ok, a bit more money never hurts.)

Demiurge actually has a final form. In the side story it was said he has 3 forms. 1 is default, second - a frog and third is his final form. It isn't clarified what it is capable of, but in the Web Novel we got to see his final form, where he was tall, horned, flamed and muscular demon, who is pretty much the strongest melee fighter, and it cost him disabling of all magic. It's like Perfect Warrior, but better.

Demiurge actually has more than 7 Evil Lords/イビルロード based on the Seven Deadly Sins (in vol 1 there are actually several of each type in the first floor). You are mixing them with the 7 out of 12 demon of the zodiac/十二宮の悪魔 that he mentions in the Messenger of the King side-story and who are named after the 12 angel zodiac, possibly indicating that they are custom NPCs unlike the Evil Lords who are mercenaries.
Nigel's retranslation of the scene in vol 1 may lead to confusion, but both Sky's original translation and YP (as well as the original Japanese) have a very different scene, having the '3 types of demons' changed to '3 demons of each type'. In the manga you can also see that Demiurge has several demons of the same type in that scene.
Djinnfor's Edits & Corrections:
* For some reason I wrote that Demiurge could only summon a single evil lord near the end of the script, despite correctly saying in the beginning of the script that he could summon mass quantities of lower-leveled demons. I don't really know why I made this mistake; I'm going to blame it on me being tired at the time.
* Demiurge's "winged frog" form is called a "half-demon" form in the light novel. Forgot to check Volume 1 - I saw the shapeshifter levels and just assumed this was how he was transforming himself, because why else would he have them? It's actually the result of one of his demon race levels (Imp, probably) and not the result of his shapeshifter class. At this point I really don't know what his shapeshifter class levels are for if he's not using them to transform himself. Demons in general can change their appearance, presumably having one distinct form for each distinct racial class they have; this is what I thought was the case, and why I explained that Albedo could transform into a Nalfeshnee, but I couldn't remember how exactly I came to that understanding - I don't exactly memorize the contents of every novel. Turns out it was explained right in volume 1 the first time it happened, but seeing Demiurge explicitly listed as having shapeshifter levels just threw me off.
* Whether Demiurge has a proper "final form" or not is unknown; he faked having one in volume 12 and 13 (see 8:38). He apparently has another form that's quite powerful-looking ("manly"?), involving his most "wicked Form of the Devil". I assumed this was a mistranslation of "Aspect of the Devil", in that he uses one or more of his Aspect of the Devil abilities to make his entire body become physically imposing and boost his physical combat stats, but in retrospect it sounds more like it's a proper transformation and not just a buff ability.
* Yes, Demiurge did at one point wield a "weapon", but jokes aside, mentioning it would be a big spoiler. That and he probably wasn't the one wielding it - again see 8:38
One more thing:
Ulbert apparently thought that Ainz' build was pretty cool, and may have been influenced by it while creating Demiurge. Ainz was primarily a necromancer, but he also had an abnormally large number of spells (700 versus the normal maximum of 300) because of one of his classes, allowing him to be quite versatile and adaptive; Demiurge was built to be a mass summoner of devils who also had a lot of generalist spells and abilities

No, summoned creatures can't summon other creatures.
I think it should also be considered that he has some form of Bardic and Leadership classes, which would account for his commanding voice ability and could provide him with the ability to buff his minions and/or his companions. also, the Shapeshifter class could have been a prerequisite for his Aspect of the Devil abilities.

CaptainCarmine I think the horns are just normal items that when certain things are met summons more goblins. The game is about secrets and some classes skills ect only work when something’s are met so why not items. Just a guess could be wrong

He would be the third or second strongest NPC in all of Nazarik in my opinion he can transform into any of the guild members of AOG and use about 80% of there power but can't use there super tier spells and he can change his classes and stats and he could replace everyone or do everyone jobs in the tomb cause of his class changes and he was known as the guild's final trump card.

He can summon demons using the ulberts statue that ainz gave him but also his orginal summon IS a one demon he can just split to multple forms.

Demiurge is literally an entire army, its commander, and its tactician.
Demiurge is a floor guardian appointed to guard the 7th floor. Strength wise Demiurge is actually one of the weakest guardians. He ranks just above Aura and Victim. But of-course victim would rank the lowest as he is not even level 100 and Aura's strength relies on her beasts.

Funny thing is Guren, an area guardian under Demiurge could fight evenly with some floor guardians. This slime monster uses its terrain (lava) to its advantage and even pulls unsuspecting victims into it. This slime monster is only level 90.
Demiurge could only cast a very small number of spells; there was only one other tenth tier spell available to him. His true power lay in his skills, and while he had used that spell just now to conserve his strength, the scene before his eyes was sufficiently tragic as it was.
It is stated that Demiurge's doesn't have a-lot of spells, instead uses skills.
Firstly let me say that Wiki has unsourced information about his 'Aspect of the devil' series being a spell. Demiurge used one of this series, [Aspect of the Devil - Stout Demon's Gigantic Arms] and called it a Skill in Drama CD 1.
Known skills/spells used by Demiurge:
"[Command Mantra]" Demiurge could control beings level 40 and below through this skill as shown with the lizardmen however with an item level 40 and above you can resist it. This is a skill used in vol 4 + Vol 9 and possibly off-screen and is a passive
"[Frost of Judaca]" ... stops the target's time. The surrounding time itself does not stop. Used against Zy'tl Q'ae in Drama CD 1 this is a skill
"[Flame of Gehenna]" ... Creates a huge flame wall. There is no damage even if one touches it, making it an illusion. Unknown if this is a skill or a spell, never stated. Most likely a spell
"[Flames of hell]" ... Uses hellfire to strengthen fire type-damage, this negates fire immunity.Never stated if it's a spell or skill. Used in Season 2 and vol 6
"[Dimensional lock] This seals the surrounding space to not allow transfer and teleportation. A skill only used by the highest angels and demons. This is a skill vol 6 and season 2(edited)
"[Hellfire wall]" range attack that summons a slash/wall like flame and hits your enemy. This does not do any physical damage. Wiki says that it seems to burn the soul but this was speculation from Evileyes POV. Used in Vol 6/Season 2 against Gagaran and Tia and wiki seems to have listed it as a 7th tier most likely due to wrath having a similar spell called hellflame which is 7th tier, listed in vol 13, this was used in season 2 and vol 6
"Meteor Fall" This is a 10th tier spell and one of the only two 10th tier spells of Demiurge. It Spawns a huge meteor to fall on a designated area. This is a 10th tier spell
“[Aspect of the Devil - Giant Arm of the Demon].”... Activates the transformation ability only to the arms and enlarges the arms.This is a skill used vol6 and Season2
"[Aspects of the devil: sharp claws]" ... Activates claws that extend from the nails.This is a skill vol6
"[Aspect of the Devil: Tentacle Wings]" ... Activates wings as a devil's ability to transform and shoot sharp tiny tentacles. This is a skill vol6
"[Aspect of the Demon: Hellfire Mantle]"... Activates and wraps the demon in hellfire that acts as armour. This is a skill vol6, Season 2
"[Aspects of the devil: Eight-limb of Speed]" ... Activates and grants the user increased speed This is a askill used in Drama CD1
"[Unkown skill]" Demiurge can summon a large number of demons he considers low level and could also summon higher levels demons just that the numbers would decrease. This is a skill vol 12(edited)
"[Evil lord summons]"... Once every 50 hours Demiurge can summon an evil lord. He had summoned an evil lord wrath, which was level 84. It is a physical fighter with very high HP. Evil lord wrath were a headached because of hate values. Hate value is similar to aggro just that hate value needed to be managed or else wrath would go off target. Also evil lord wraths had the special ability of doing more damage and gaining more defense the higher its hate value became. Still, that was not too frightening. The only thing that one had to worried about was its ability called 「Soul-Bought Miracle」, this ability let it use any spell of and under 8th tier. So an evil wrath could use this to heal itself with a spell.
Also Evil lords wraths spells are:
Tenth tier spells: 「Meteor Fall」, 「Time Stop」, 「Field of Unclean」
Ninth tier spells: 「Greater Rejection」, 「Vermillion Nova」
Eighth tier spells: 「Distort Moral」, 「Insanity」, 「Astral Smite」, 「Wave of Pain」
Seventh tier spells: 「Napalm」, 「Hellflame」, 「Greater Word of Curse」, 「Greater Teleportation」, 「Blasphemy」
Sixth tier spells: 「Flamewing」. 「Wall of Hell」
Third tier spells: 「Fireball」, 「Slow」

Dang it! I’m equally excited and possibly hugely let down based on the reasoning of this video of Demiurge’s true power. He’s my favorite character. Although, his indirect powers might be an underestimated power very directly powerful beings may not be prepared for. Awesome video 👏 👏 👏
as far as i see it, his build is designed to be a jack of all trades in the ultimate sense. he has lvl 100 resist to debuffs and abnormal methods of damage so you can't give him a weakness either. meanwhile, he can buff himself in a specific area and use minions. not counting the obvious aoe spells he has shown to be capable of. hellfire wall, voice command, etc. the guy is the perfect utility/crowd controller in the group. even potentially a tank against debuffs and special damage types.

I believe that Shapeshifter might be one of the requirements for Aspect of The Devil.
Also all the floors were pretty good defensively not just the 8th floor they all did have broken n.p.c as well as decorative ones and they all exploited the game most players who came alone sould be taken out in the first floor where as most raid parties would be taken out in the 6th floor and only once were enemies able to bypass the 6th and 7th floor and make it to the 8th also a good example of the guild exploiting the game in the earlier floors would be the teleporting traps in the 1st and second floor which can teleport enemies to dangerous locations and separate them by scending them to different locations also the curtains in shaltears room prevent enemies from moving properly as well as seing properly restricting large raid parties and making it hard for them to fight as the curtains get in the way this information is from the side story the emissary of the king.

I assume 10 of Demiurge's other levels were in Wordcaster as when he uses words to make people do things it always felt like he was using Words of Power since there doesn't appear to be any casting glyphs or magical glows particularly when he does so. Since Words of Power also have per day limits like spells.

Something about this reminded me of a clown demon (from demon lord, retry around episode 8) and I've been scowering the intier internet for the information of where that clown was from and it took me over an hour and once I found out where it was from I was so relieved

About the shapeshifting ability, lemme say my theory.
As i played many games, theres a rule that is kinda widespread, classes who use a ton of skills that cover lots of situations are a little too hard to master, an example would be the "Fly" skill from magician class, it's hard to master and the air mobility is good but not great, the wings that a shapeshifter produce are a form of specialized fly who has increased agility on midair, so that's a step up from the commonplace fly, that said, this extra agility would be a powerful advantage over the fly skill.

Well he does have a final form, the first is his default look, second is his frog one, and third, probably one of the strongest form amongst the three as an archdevil. The reason as to why he has multiple true forms was probably an inspiration that Ulbert has for Momonga's build that specializes in none.

demiurges domain from what i remember in the novel,
it is a fiery hell with the floor having mouths that casts instant-death spells and the whole room in every 10 mins it disables flight or float spells so enemies will fall on the surface and get burned, chomped and get a barrage instant-death spells just from the enviornment while fighting demiurge and his demons
In what novel? The only floor based effect that’s talked about is the constant fire damage that was disabled
